errmm....sorry, I'm a bit thick (it has been said) but what do the numbers signify? I think I can grasp the team figures - based on home / away points gained / lost? But how are the rider's figures derived? Genuine question to aid my education, although it might be a bit late as I left school over half a century ago!

Should Rosco Still Be Team Gb Manager
Robert Lee replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And who would you get to replace him? They are not exactly queuing to pick up this particular poison chalice. I'm guessing the salary is peanuts if anything at all. -
Wolves Vs Bees 29/june/15

Don't know about stable door; gift horse and mouth spring to mind. Wolves fans should maybe be more appreciative of what they have: A long-term promotion team and a track that more often than not produces cracking racing. What might the future be if CVS gets fed up of the abuse he gets and walks away? -

It might be simple to you, but I only got grade 2 in English O level and I don't speak collie at all, so thanks for the translation...! -

Errm....we proved that at BV &KL, didn't we..........? -
I think that's a bit harsh. Visitors are always going to be up against it when the home top two are on fire, especially at Wolves and especially when it's Lindgren and PK. Harris and Andersen met one of those two in all but two of their rides. Look at the rest of the Wolves' Scores. One league point is fair enough in the circs.

Havvy to C Morton before heat 10: OK, if you let Danny finish last in this one so you can't use the jeux sans frontieres golden double, we'll give you a 5-1 in 15 so you can have a league point. But if we meet you in the playoffs, you have to let us win. Mort: OK Gaz, deal. See you in the pub later. Not. -

Good point about the gates - 10 wins off gate 4, none off 1. As someone else mentioned, can't remember a match where no rider got double figures, but the gate imbalance might explain that. I thought the ref blotted her copybook in heat 11 when Robbo got a flyer and she called an unsatisfactory start. He didn't jump or roll, he just anticipated well and that shouldn't be penalised. In the re-start, Nicholls did the same, and she let it go. -

You have to assume that Havvy owes Chris Morton a favour so gifted him the league point. If not, BV owe us one. Or........the club saved some points money once the match was in the bag. One point to Kylma must pay less than a Harris/Andersen 5-1. -

You're right. On aggregate from the two matches you might even make 60........ -

Let's hope Hansie doesn't suffer from post-Swindon points disorder. Remember what happened the night after he last scored 14 for the Robins. -

Is Rich Lawson The New Harry Kane?
Robert Lee replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Ah, thanks. I'm not much of a movie buff, so I'd never have known that. But why are people comparing an actor to a speedway rider..?? -

Who's Harry Kane? -
Wot! Haven't you heard about the new speedway engine made by the Bo-Ke special power units division of the Chinese state space programme..?

BTCC, Moto GP, F1. And best of all, Speed Hill Climb - a full day's racing non-stop (except for a gentlemanly break for lunch) for the price of a speedway match. Ever seen a 600 bhp single-seater racing up a single track road? Makes four blokes on bokes look tame. Oops, forgot Superbikes and WRC.

Coventry Bees V Poole Pirates 10th April 2015
Robert Lee replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Until the play-off final like last year....... Bit of strategic planning needed here: Start looking now for a replacement no 1 by the end of September. Someone who'd be fully committed on a cold October's night at Wimborne Road. -

Nothing to do with RR v guest or Manager's decisions. Our No 1 couldn't be bothered and gave the match to the visitors. -

HansAndersen hang your head in shame. The losing margin was what you should have scored. Did Mat Ford pay you to throw the match? -

Yes, forza Nr 46. But it's not the same without Steve and Charlie and the brilliant BBC coverage. The pair of clowns who do the ITV4 commentary make you realise how good Kelvin and Nigel are !
