  1. Think your right with no luck but i put money on it that they will find something, using a guest for your number 1 do you get a 10% rise on thier average which may work for them if they run with a guest for a bit. Does Adam Ellis fit the numbers game?
  2. Well Hopwood suit should fit him no problems, looking at the teams Ben could go to belle vue if they make room as they are way under the points limit at the moment . It's just a game of numbers.
  3. Sad to say i think your right, Crowds are good at Kent, Eastbourne, but suffer at Kings Lynn, Rye House, from last year from where i was.
  4. The other problem is that there is no other 3 point riders out there that are really a 4 pointer or more as we had last year in woods and dugard. but hey ho another day in the world of speedway.
  5. Chances are Ben will do that but I guess you have to look at the reason why the club has made this choice. It's not to replace Ellis with Ben its to replace Hughes with another number 1 and to do so it means a reshuffle, as they said it's a game of numbers. Sometimes there is a reason for change and you have to be brave to do it.
  6. Oh Boxall , thanks for that but would he still be up for having a skid?
  7. Your right Boxhall also he is quite local as well, must be someone else then as i am not sure if boxhall is still racing or not.
  8. well lets see what unfolds, who is Stefan Nielsens as i am sure that someone would have got all the ducks in a row before shooting them or replacing Hopwood, Spiller maybe? or have they been thinking outside the box again and dug up someone that we have all missed or are they going to put Perks at 1 and then change the reserves? Bloody hell need a crystal ball. Have to say that there is a lot going on that we are unaware of in the minds of a criminal (Donald Trump) springs to my mind or Alan Sugar your fired
  9. Wow i have to say that its a bit hard on Ben if its true but again is seems that the unfortunate accident with Hughes has casued this problem only so many riders can fit in a 40 point limit. But again Eastbourne have gone ahead with nothing unturned wanting to win again, Hats off to them for a change and again a different Eastbourne to the years before and i have to say its only in the interest of the club and keeping speedway alive in sussex. Hard as it is but speedway seems to have come alive in sussex and that through another set of goggles, you may call it a merry go around while i say it was a high trill roller coaster with all the dips and turns of a ride your never going to forget.
  10. No way where have you read about Ben?
  11. Dugards Twitter had a photo of Phillips bike so i guess again that he is going to have a look at his bike and make a few changes to get phillips up and on the rode. Both reserves had speed and looked much better then they did on Friday, but again friday was a challange match also a challange for the promotion to see whats wrong and whats right. Looks like a change in the wind from the storm Katie has gone in the right way of Eastbourne, so whats the news on the team if any?
  12. Anyone got an up day on team for Mondy. Seems very quite since Friday.
  13. Well what can I say, Eastbourne we pants today, home meeting was OK a little bit of bad luck but could have a lot of bad luck but there you go. Hughes crash was similar to Dugards last year where he went through the fence but Hughes flipped it over. But Eastbourne was out paced by a better side. After a great year last year this start has been a thump in the ribs. Let's se if the management have the backbone to flip the team around and give us another fresh start. Out some big names as they are not big enough for me.
  14. Just seen it on Twitter the mobile Bar and Piglets are at press day another big step up for the promotion, put me in for a pint or two as i am a Lady, Come and ride a bike is also on offer?
  15. Think your find that anything the BSPA can fine a club or put a downer on the club they will with media footage, the biggest problem is that with the smart phones and normal people like ourself who try to push the sport but personal make silly rules. But they are the rules we have to work too, also there are lots of rules that we have not heard off and get a slap on the wrist which was always in place until we have broken them with out knowing it. Good news is i have been told we can film to our hearts content on press day, as the club said its all promotion for them but on meeting days they have to work under the BSPA rules. Has anyone seen if JC Pro finished the suits off yet? as i heard that the deadline was getting close anyone going to press day i will be there about 6ish after work
  16. What Niall Studwick and Nikki made me laugh on Twitter
  17. where did you see the photo of the suits as i may have missed that?
  18. I also think the Kent promotion would be upset as well, open a can of worms now, maybe put radio jammers in the staduims to stop mobile phone use the same as they do in hospitals.
  19. I agree with you all, I am a prime example I watched the meeting from America with Niall in it during the winter as it was the only way I could, but i have to say i be disappointed if Eastbourne fans were to do that at other tracks as its just a question of technology and media vs Old school. But I think speedway could do with out live broadcasting events to put the motivation back into going and watching the sport we all love. I would be the worst one as I could sit at home with the kids and put it up on the ipad and have a watch. But I have to say its not the best for speedway just make us a lazy arm chair supporters.
  20. Hope you have permission to live broadcast?, the fact your given your name and your going to do it will not help lol, lets say i go back to Kent and have my phone set upand broadcast it could stop at least 15 people going a very easy way to kill speedway, Well done teaboy279 not really helping the cause of speedway even if you think its the right cause for yourself, not very productive towards keeping speedway alive. i think your find there are some rules on live broadcasting i read on the web last year about speedway. let me have a look while i wait for the washing to stop
  21. Free speedway tell me more, i bet someone has come up with a very smart way to promote it, i will be going to press day as i heard this is going to be the biggest one of all?
  22. It will be a tough start to the season with both teams looking equal, i personally think it will come down to who has done more track time and practice for the first one, i think the Eastbourne team will win at Home and might carry the buzz with them away, But i think the danger is in Mr Ayres he can be hit and Miss but i love watching him.
  23. yeah hughes went out right at the very end of the day when there was only Wood and Dugard packing away, he looked very good, i left then so i not sure how much longer he was there for.
  24. Dont need a dream team as my team is the Eastbourne Eagles and that real life, Support it no matter what. Look back a year ago and it was an unknown, look at the Club and it looks stronger then ever, Yes we are in the NL but who cares its still speedway and i have to say its the best speedway product on the market for entertainment.
  25. Went to Eastbourne on Sunday, track looked dusty but it was a lovely day, Hughes did get his bike going just as i was leaving he borrowed some bits of Knights bike to make it work, have to say he looked very impressive i would say with out any problems watching the lads today we have the makings of 3 number 1s in Hughes, and Knight, (Hopwood was not there) but i watched him last year. Philips was good considering he only ever been to the place a few times he looks a bit like Danny Halsey when he rides, Paul Hurry was going good but the one that was outstanding was Tom Brennan, OMG fastest out of everyone apart from Hurry and Dugard, yes you got it right Martin had a few laps right at the end of the day, he didnt look as if he ever got off a bike. Jake Knight is my man for the start of the season, i put him at the top the way he rode yesterday, Hughes will have to go some to keep his number 1 race jacket.
