Cradley Heathens V Eastbourne Eagles 22/4
catinthehat replied to greyhoundp's topic in National League Speedway
Hi Alex, my friend talked to Trevor last weekend and he said Glen would be back after the cradley meeting as he had already had commitments on those race days, maybe he has been locked away for a while and his realise date is up soon lol (Only Joking) he is due for the next home meeting but if he comes back with a Tan then we know he has been on holiday. I think it was mentioned in the Speedway Star or at the supporters meeting that he would not be available for the start of the season due to work. Trevor was not at Cradley as he must have also had work commitments. -
Oh i am not saying that Cradley didnt have there fair share of bad luck as well but you didnt think that 4 outings of George Woods bike not runing and using BWD bike snapped a chain maybe it is more of bad maintenace, Dugard was lucky when riders fell which equalled out Perks bike problems and tapes for Clegg, So looking at the bigger picture i think we were all equal just beaten on the night by a better side. First time for Dugard, Wood, BWD poor Birmingham when we go back.
-
I think Dugard will do better next time also Wood will at least finish a race and score some points, but dont think that Owen will do as good a job as Richens so its going to be close, Andrews will do better so maybe we be stronger and get a few extra points and Mason will move off the line but it will another good meeting but we did have a lot of luck according to the updates.

Islander am i right in thinking that its every point scored including R/R and tactical rides count but not bonus points lets say “18 points” then divide it by the rides “7” then times by 4 = average Points ÷ Rides x 4= (18÷7 x 4 = 10.28)

I will have to call you Penny Johnson or PJ for short, We all have our own comments and some are good and some are not worth the effort to reply, In your case PJ its time to put the record straight. The Dugards are trying to make speedway ago at Eastbourne like Len Silver has at Kent, it has never worked for Bob Dugard for 20 years and lost money. I am guessing why MD & CD have broken away from what is classed as the Norm. BDJ has moved on away from the and Eagles which we will keep an eye on him to see if he is as good as BWD. I guess when you want to help a speedway club and you say you have financially helped riders you should stand up and see the other side of the fence and if you look at what Eastbourne are doing this year they have now put another team together rather than R/R. PJ I understand your love for BDJ as the Eastbourne Fans have for speedway at Eastbourne but without a Club there be another 7 speedway riders without a job. PJ open your eyes and smell the coffee it’s not all about BDJ as it takes 7 riders to make a team, I tell you what i will be quite happy to meet you at Eastbourne and have a pint with you and treat you to speedway for a day. Let’s see what your made off Penny. M Ceglio turned up and we sorted out our differnces. Maybe you might want to put some money into Danny go fund me page? Show your support.

Penny are you related to Brendan as you dont seem to grasp the fact that he has been dropped from Eastbourne, This was due to a stupid make mistake by the club to fit BWD in who has probably droped less points then Breanan would have scored in each meeting upto day racing to an 11 point Average. To say after Danny has broken is neck quote "I said ages ago that when the Eagles had a choice of who to drop, it should have been Warwick." is way out of order as he only dropped one point in his first 2 rides of the league before he got hurt, Danny was in the wrong place wrong time, and all you can think about is BDJ and a team place while Danny is in Hospital, How sick is that. I think Penny its time you let it go and now Eastbourne have moved on and are going to use Bates shows that even if Brendan was avalible "which he is not" they would never let him in the team for how rude he was towards them and the public, as a BDJ fan you should have known that, I think along with all the others on this forum it is a positive move and i am happy that Eastbourne have found a replacement and i hope that Danny will be back soon. Penny you are starting to be like an old penny just turn up with bad lucky maybe your in the pocket of BDJ, lets hope not for his sake.

Was it coincidence that Matt was at Birmingham last night having a spin or was it that Eastbourne had already arranged for him to have a ride, If it’s a case they had already made arrangements hats off to them for getting there arse off the seat and looking for a replacement for Danny which says he could be out for at least 12 weeks. What about Mason? Needs to move off the line and maybe another replacement for him surprissed he went that far from home

Well ridden to all the Cradley team, Hope to see a good match at Eastbourne when you come down. -

From looking at the updates i am not a tactician but George wood never finished a race let alone do a lap, from the grass track scene and is hard as anyone on a bike, I would have put money on George getting more points than the big Zero. But I would also have replaced Dugard with George Wood due to Dugard being way behind and his only score he got was by people falling off his true value of points is not what the what he was really worth. Think it was a gamble that didn’t pay off but nothing was really gained or lost. Also what the chance of a chain falling off BWD bike when he lent it to him? Also I have to say that the people have also said what a great sports man brad was for getting up off the track when Cradley were on a 5-1 not like that perks guy. Did himself no favours and it was reported that he was screaming in the pits at his mechanics and punching the wall? Maybe the wall can’t fight back. I watched Josh Bates do that on TV and broke his hand lol, come on Perks “grow up now” lol -
Just seen the update on Danny great news he may be out of Hospital soon, at least the weather is nice he can sit and relax in the Sun and take it easy till he is ready to ride again. Eastbourne are off to race against cradley tonight would be interesting meeting a very close one i think Eastbourne will win. Just like the old days. #winners

A bigger threat is going to be Richard Andrews, He put the fastest time at Kent in the first meeting, maximum on sunday he seems settled at Eastbourne and thats why he is scoreing so well, a very dark horse in him as he is a bit of a starter, he is the biggest one to watch, BWD will get double figures, George will get double figures, Mason will get 7, Dugard 6 Richings 8 andrews 7 give or take a few points so 48 points for me so its going to be a close match and a good one i hope. Its been reported that Danny is due for an operation so lets raise some money for the poor guy. #eaglestowin #missingdannywarwick Danny is one of the most genuine guy's in speedway and he could be out for a while so every penny helps, http://www.gofundme.com/se6p33g

As Eastbourne have just found out that its not going to be easy. As predicted as on the forum and a few people have said that it’s the team that stays injury free will win this year, I have to say looking at Eastbourne’s side they could quite easily pick up an away win. I have seen that they have a team change to make them stronger how strong do we need them to be. This was just out on @ITFirsteagles 1 David Mason © 2 Rider replacement for Danny Warwick 3 Darryl Ritchings – Guest for Marc Owen 4 Richard Andrews 5 Bradley Wilson-Dean 6 Georgie Wood 7 Kelsey Dugard Looking at them it’s a good team. I think for the first time in a few years the Dugards Martin and Connor are really trying hard to put a good show on, a driving force behind the scenes and a fresh look with the new sponsor gives a good feeling to the place again which was missing for years, also I did notice the Bob Dugard was not on his tractor for all of the meeting? Wonder if they have taken his keys off him.

Wonder if they have taken his keys off him at last, Hope Danny is ok as he took a nasty looking fall, reports now are he has broken number 3 vertebra -
Sorry Gordon i thought i was a bit out by 4 points as i didnt no how good Kelsey and George was when they covered up for Marc and Danny but not a bad result for me only 4 points out now there is something to get excited about as looks like the Eagles are flying well at home and hope they can carry that form away to Cradley, Good Luck to both teams, best racing we have seen at Eastbourne for a long time, NL was the way too go. Was this the same Kings Lynn team that went to Mildenhall the other day? (including Scot)
-
lets see after 15 heats on Sunny Sunday.
-
Just had a look at the Weather forecast, Looks as if its going to be a nice day sunday, Plenty of sun and little wind, perfect for speedway, Just hope the crowd comes out to see good speedway again as Hebbs said speedway at this level is more entertaining then in the last 15 years at Eastbourne, fingers crossed and lets help the management in Martin and Connor, as we all no that if it dont happen this year its 100% not going to happen next year. They have already showed that they are going to listen to us as the public and are trying many different avenues to get the speedway back to Eastbourne as it was. #bring a mate.
-
Cradley are aware that Eastbourne have a good team they will be ready and waiting for them, every little trick will be used, I bet Eastbourne will have enough tyres on
-
Good to see that Brendan has got a team place as it was only time before he got a ride, he is not my first choice of friends but would not want him not to ride for the season, I think Brad is better Brendan hands down on that as the scores already show that he has a bigger future then Brendan in the sport but brendan will do a job for Rye House. I hope he enjoys his time in the saddle, BWD V BDJ " Bring it on May 4th and 10th May rematch" :approve:
-
Looking forward to Cradley, First time for the boys Wood, Wilson-Dean, Dugard, (Andrews & Warrick maybe) have never been to perry bar, so maybe an impact on that but means when they go back to Birmingham they will feel the pressure more then Cradley. But its the same for teams that come to Eastbourne, Let hope that fingers crossed its going to be a great match and let the Kings Lynn match progress first, Little step for Eastbourne. #winners
-
maybe a bit too excited i think the Eagles will get 53 points Just looked at the teams and noticed that the Eagles have changed there team around, David Mason © Richard Andrews Danny Warwick Marc Owen Bradley Wilson-Dean Georgie Wood Kelsey Dugard Niall Strudwick Must make sure they dont fall with the 8-1 against them as before but have to say heat for heat they look stonger then before.
-
Prediction for sunday George Wood to get a MAX, Looks to be the most improved rider at Eastbourne so far, Brad cant improve as he has not lost a race at Eastbourne yet unless it was bike problem, Danny will get 8 points and will look good same with Owen but looking at 9 from him, Mason will get 7 Andrews 8, wood 9 Dugard 6 BWD 13 an Easy win Ready to go to Cradley on the Wednesday #winner
-
just put my thinking cap on and i now put the last big of the jigsaw together and i no who pit stop is Steven " Mick Norris" it all adds up watching you crawl around at the back and almost up to speed like niall Strudwick, I really should have been an inspector #pitstop, Might see you sunday Mick lol
-
I didnt understand why Tom was going around in 63 seconds then bingo on 3rd outing he lost power and still pull away from the other Kid Rowe, I had a look in the pits to find Toms dad Dick and Martin shaking there heads at the inside of the engine, looking at what the rocker arm does i say he did well even in his last ride to be as close to Rowe. If Tom was on 50% power then the Rowe kid also must have a engine problem or that the throttle goes all the way back as was out for a sunday pint and still keeping up with him? Rowe one for the future i wont think so as he has been around a long time and seems to only turn up at certain tracks. Rowe has been a Mascot for Rye House, Swindon, Plymouth, Newport, Weymouth, and many more, He has done more laps then any other kid i no.

Looking at the field of riders that has to offer for Kent and Eastbourne i would go to Eastbourne, Georgie Wood (4th) David Mason (steady and its his first meeting) good rider Aaron Baseby (mid table) Danny Ayres (top half of the table if he stays on) Sam Darroch Richard Andrews (winner) Kelsey Dugard (mid to top half of the table) Danny Warwick (Top half) Tyler Govier (lower end) Charley Powell (lower end has never ridden speedway) Nick Laurence (lower end) Adam Sheppard (lower to mid) Marc Owen (3rd) Niall Strudwick (lower end) Bradley Wilson-Dean (2nd) Dawid Wiwatowski Res 17 Sam Heath Come to Eastbourne Sings4Kings and ill buy you a programme.
