  1. Dugard had put up on Twitter that he had a new shed built more like a stable, that must be the extension for Andrews and spiller, must say a nice shed lol and a bit more room too. I think your right Chaos both boys sleep at there mums but spend 90% at Mr Ds as thats where it all happens and where the base for everything to happen according to Facebook and twitter.
  2. Spiller, Bwd, K Dugard, Brennan all live with the Dugards, Hopwood, Andrews, Bates all stay there if they need to, seems as if they all get on ok, lots of speedway talk must go on in the house.
  3. I think he has come over on easyjet but he deffentrly in the groove someone told me he can sing as well follow the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syOK6zmpOe0 any news on the Team for the weekend for Rye House and Kent
  4. Spiller is English with an English passport 13 years in the UK lived in the South East and had to move to Germany because of family commitments to work which was nothing to do with him, Just imagine you want to be on the world stage at the age of 13 in any sport and your parents say we are moving away. what a dreadful thing to happen. He has gone away regrouped with the family and then he has got his life back together and started to race speedway at a much better level that the English lads are aloud to do here ride a 500cc at the age of 14 (Robert Lambert route). He has ridden in the British youth Rounds in 2013, British youth Under 19 at Coventry. I would class him as English because he is both parents are English, Jealous fans I understand because he is a great catch as a rider and for Eastbourne but another jealous riders trying to upset another Englishman complete madness. Man up Mr Worrall because he has been given a chance to shine and the English fans want to see him.
  5. I was going to this meeting to watch BWD but now he is not going i wont bother apparantly his hand injury he has is still hurting him but i think maybe he is having practice at Eastbourne with Spiller.
  6. What happens if Spiller comes in as he must be the best reserve in the country now, can he go and guest for any club he wants ie against Birmingham or Cradley just to see if he can knock a few points off the top teams, Master Stroke if he can do that. I guess the Eastbourne team would all mechanic for him if that was the case lol.
  7. From what i see Kelsey is a still young in his mind and seems to still as everyone has said "the puppy dog situation" when he is out in front, He can fall of at a drop of a hat i am surprised he does not trip up on the track walk before the meetings. It’s been very frustrating for us as the supporters to watch Kelsey to be as good as he can a few weeks ago to then come back less than a week later to be as bad as he was at Kings Lynn and again at Eastbourne. i was told that Martin was away at the time and Connor was running the show, All i can say is that Kelsey must rely on a setup that suits him by now he should have had that sorted for at least the home meetings. When he wins a race his face is like thunder and when he is last his face is like thunder a very strange personality for someone who should really enjoy racing speedway. As for the club they could stick by him and try to build him up but seems he does not want that either, I am all for speedway at Eastbourne but i would be very upset after being promised at the fans meeting at the start of the year the they will make changes and have. Kent have been stuck in a rut and seems that the crowd has started to drop off, Eastbourne can’t afford that and with the team changes it’s all been for the best at the moment and not a bad team as we stand. Kelsey if he gets another chance will come good again but let’s hope to see if he can then go and do second half races to get his heart back in it.
  8. Dont think spiller will ride in the NL next year think if he is as good as everyone says and puts himself in the shop window like Brad for a PL place, I think its a brave move but again shows that they will move everything they can to get a result, Seems they are true to the word nothing will go unturned. British Lad with British Passport but lives in Germany, he rides a sport that he loves in his home land and now has given us a chance to show what he can do for the Eagles, no rule broken and nobody hurt quality move by the Eastbourne,
  9. Fridays meeting being the Kings Lynn away meeting, I have to look at the big picture and say that its a good move but i have a feeling there is another big move on the way too, Just shows us that the club want to win and everything has been looked at, a bit of a difference from the previous Club to be working so hard, shame they could not have done all thie hard work at another level, Looking at the team only Owen and BWD are the only ones standing. Spiller will turn the Club around and BWD will get some back up at last, Owen has held his own all year, i would be worried if the Eastbourne team rocked up with the team they have now its a stronger side then before, Andrews will be back soon,
  10. After Strudwick puts in the speedway star he has no opponents to ride against. Tonight turns out to be a good second half with 4 riders in the 500 class. Niall runs a last in all the races which even included a slow tumble. He is not good at the media thing. Mouth shut talking on the track. Gary Cottham did well wining all his races including beating Niall
  11. Is Ben Morley ment to be racing for Redcar as they have a meeting tomorrow against Edinburgh at Edinburgh? PL comes first but i know its a KOC meeting so is the KENT meeting which one takes over the other one? Or am i missing the point. Was Adam the one i could see on facebook which young Tom Brennan whipped his backside with Niall by about half a lap, Would be better off asking Tom if he could ride for Kent.
  12. The Green Sheet averages that the speedway have to work from are below. Not sure what your system is Barrowboy lol maybe its the one that Eastbourne used to build a team when they could not fit Johnson in. Bradley Wilson-Dean 10.38 Rob Branford 9.85 Adam Ellis 9.80 Max Clegg 9.73 Ben Morley 9.16 Liam Carr 9.00 Dan Greenwood 8.92 Danny Halsey 8.49 Jon Armstrong 7.68 Jake Knight 7.62
  13. The Track record this year has gone to Owen and Woods in each of the seconds rides. Must mean they have the bikes set up for just a little bit of grip but not too much grip for heat 1. lets see what happens.
  14. I think if the track is watered right on a Saturday night with it also being a cooler the grip might stay in the track longer so a chance of the track record will go but the question is who will get it? Shanes, Morley or even Ayres? BWD or Owen possible Hopwood.
  15. Just got this off the Eastbourne website. Eastbourne Speedway press release Saturday night speedway returns to Arlington this week as the IT First Eastbourne Eagles take on Kent in the second leg of the KO Cup semi-final. The Eagles will be without free-scoring Georgie Wood who has a leg injury. Wood, who only started riding speedway this year, has done so well from the reserve berth that he would have moved up to the number three slot. Eastbourne director Connor Dugard reported Wood was suffering from serious damage to the cartilage in his knee. It is preventing his knee from hinging properly so it could be a "long process" to get back to fitness. Eastbourne will use the rider replacement rule to cover his rides. Dugard has drafted Coventry Storm's Martin Knuckey into the team as a guest replacement for the injured Richie Andrews who is recovering from a broken thumb. Knuckey was a big success at Arlington when Coventry came to Arlington a fortnight ago. Eastbourne go into the second leg very much in the driving seat having won the first leg in Kent by 42-28 at the end of June. Team manager Glenn Martin agrees his charges have one foot in the final but points out a disastrous night under lights could ruin those dreams. He said: “We’ve had the upper hand so far this season against Kent but they we are taking nothing for granted. “A KO Cup final in our first year as a National League club would be a brilliant achievement and the team knows just how much this would mean to everyone at Arlington.” Martin pointed out Kent had lost by only four points in mid July at league leaders Birmingham. “We must not give Kent even a glimmer of hope that they can back into this tie,” Martin warned. Mattie Bates drops to reserve.
  16. Islander put this: Phillips, Chessell, Knuckey or Chapman for Andrews and use R/R for Wood which lets Owen take a ride. Or Priest for Wood and Andews R/R. They're the best looking options imo. Not sure who to go for as they are all as good as each other but not really a replacement for woods, R/R and Philips would be my choice.
  17. 14 points down from the first Leg wonder if kent can take advantage of Georgie being in the Team and not at reserve, I personally think the team is stronger now with Georgie in the team and he will grow even bigger with the experience. i am not a GWR96 fan. Kent could make a bit of a go at it but not sure they make up the ground? what do you think. Also i like the idea of a Saturday night meeting if the fans come to that one maybe the club will look at changing it for next year?
  18. Just looked at the new averages. Bradley Wilson-Dean 10.38 Ben Hopwood 8.52 Marc Owen 7.00 George Wood 6.42 Richard Andrews 6.35 Mattie Bates 5.38 Kelsey Dugard 4.96 I can see why they kept Brad and didnt go for Branden Johnson, Where are all the critics now BWD is top of the averages, means that Martin and Connor had got it right and took a lot of stick for it, now all we need for the club is some silverware. looking at the team with Mattie at reserve we will have a few good meetings and lets hope that Georgie is fit ASAP. so a guest for R/R and a Guest could make us even stronger.
  19. Whats the go with George will he be fit for the weekend if not what about giving Niall a run or Charlie Powel, Seems to have gone a bit quite on our injuries, Is Dugard back in or is he still on the side line? Help need so updates.
  20. Thats a shame as my weekend was made of Coventry and Buxton but now it looks as if thats going out the window, Good to see they called it off early well done to the promotion.
  21. What a poor start to my day, went into work to find we had a water pipe burst then flicked the internet on to check the weather for Coventry tonight to find that its off, Can the day get any worse. now i have to tell the Kids who have been really excited about going to speedway tonight that its off, i guess thats the 3 bad things out the way.
  22. Leave Niall along we love him, him and Britney lol
  23. From what i can see he is a really nice guy and put everything he had into speedway, 12k can be easily racked up by not only the running cost of speedway but the cost of everything else that goes with it, this year along to be up with the best of them last years silencers went out the window with a cost of over £200 each plus a oil at £8 a liter and a gallon of fuel at £8, so then you have a tyre to make sure your up with the rest, plus the to have an afternoon off work to ride speedway? At a guess to £61 to start a bike up then £16 a race to cover your service cost of £500 every 30 races of an engine x 5 races £141 running cost? at a guess then on top of that you have got clutch plates and chain wear and tear before you have to replace anything else that may go wrong. Jon's a nice guy let someone help him out if i had the money i would. speedway would be a lesser place if he was not in the sport.
  24. All i can say is that Breannan did a 62.2 in the youth meeting and that was the fastest time of the day, Also in the past Tom has been a few seconds quicker then Niall, But all things aside Niall did a great job for scoring his first NL point for the Eagles in the main meeting. Follow Niall on Twitter and you can see the dedication of the guy he loves speedway, Not only has he got the only Female speedway rider girlfriend ( who understands him ) read it for myself on twitter @niallstrudwick Give the guy a chance he is always up early doing his bikes, I think his uncle john has helped him all these years he must also need a medal too. i think the Club guy should give him a run before the end of the season, I would pay for a tyre for him. GO GO GO niall, maybe a big banner around the stadium like they did with Darcy in Poland this week. lol
