  1. What a great result at Birmingham, with BWD not being 100% fit but a few more days rest will sort him out, Georgie was on fire well done to him a real true final run for him, Dugard was better then last few performances, Andrews was unlucky, Spiller was in the wrong place wrong time but worked hard for his points, owen was a lot better then before, hopwood started off well then dipped but owen pulled together. Roll on the weekend
  2. Connor and Martin both give there time for free, Connor works for himself and Martin works for the family engineering company in Brighton, both together give there time for free. But i am sure there will be a reward somewhere in respect and a trophy. But 100% they dont take a wage from the speedway.
  3. Spiller can ride in the League at 15 years of age. If you dont put the effort in and you cant be bothered to push yourself you dont deserve what other want. why should anyone be given a team place, because he is a family memember that what people were saying he only got a team place, but he was dropped, if i have my choice when they had the chance but missed it, i would have put Gary Cottham in and left him in the side, Speedway is tough and and kelsey is not always on the pace, we know he has good bikes and equipment just sometimes it takes time to get to set up in the mind to race speedway. Look at Jack Smith, not really got it at the moment but he might, Dugard not got it at the moment but might, You have to deal with being dropped in a team if you not performing, Look what its done to kent speedway running riders that are not ready to race in the league, it had destroyed them. If you say dumping on your from a greart hight, i say more like"a wake up call" reality check"
  4. Lets look at it in a different light, Cost at a guess for both teams home and away. Rent for Birmingham Stadium as its a nice stadium with all the equipment (£2000) Graham Dury to run speedway per meeting £250 and away £250 = (£500) Birmingham riders all turn up each meeting with a new tyre on home and away, £40 x 7 = £560 riders pay for a meeting for 45 points (£1000) riders travel at a guess £500 BSPA, Insurance, Medical cover (£1200) cost for Birmingham (£5760) Rent for Eastbourne Stadium with all the equipment (£1000) Martin and Connor Dugard to run speedway (free) Eastbourne riders all turn up each meeting with a new tyre on home no away £40 x 7 = £280 riders pay for a meeting for 45 points (£1000) riders travel at a guess £650 (add Spillers flights at an average of £150) we know there are cheaper ones (£45) Easyjet Gatwick, Stanstead. BSPA, Insurance, Medical cover (£1200) cost for Eastbourne (£4130) Eastbourne save £1630 on Birmingham? so cant see how the difference is that it comes down to money, Location of the staduim is the difference, more money as its a better stadium, means more people means more money in. Birmingham must have the money? Dugard are giving there time for free and seems to make it work, Good luck to them if they bring Spiller in, i bet it will be little Spiller next year? Who can blame them. Who cares what Ellis is being paid, he turns up every meeting races his heart and and he is the best in the league and he should get paid top money, there is alway a way around paying riders. ie sponsorship or van, bike parts, so on so on. Roll on tonight i cant wait to read the updates. Eastbourne to win at Birmimingham on the night by 2 points Eastbourne to win at home by 12 on Saturday.
  5. Steve the passion is there great one my man, Shame about all the others when they said we had put a poor side together, Crashes and injury have played a bit part but the new faces at the club have like you said "no stone un turned". Bring it on for the rest of the year, only 5 meetings to go. Have i been told right that Little Spiller is over for the Birmimgham meeting in place of Dugard? or again is it all pie in the Sky, would like to see the spillers ride in the Blue and Yellow colours.
  6. Danny is a good guest but not as good as Zach, also depends on what Danny turns up, i have watched him a lot this year and he seems to be up and down points wise as well as on the floor, but have to say he is very exciting. RR for sam is a bit weak but thats all they you can have, Eastbourne have won the last few meetings at Kent and Rye House and again at home so they are on a bit of a winning run and only lost by a 5 or 6 when the Eastbourne were there before. Change around from Spiller in the team and not resever, Owen finding his feet at last, BWD is a good match for Adam (Ellis) not Kirby. Spiller or Owen will match Tom, Andrews and Dugard are strong reserves and leaves Big Ben Hopwood to score as many as he can, its going to be a good one. Georgie Wood was on spillers Second bike at the weekend at Eastbourne and he was good very realxed and he looked as if he was ready to race and step up again. Rock on Georgie
  7. Good win for the team at rye house then onto Eastbourne for a good thumping well done boys. Friday was fours day trophy number 1 Saturday night and Sunday was trophy 2 Roll on Wednesday Birmingham
  8. Well done to all the boys tonight at Kent for winning the county Kent fours. Shame they didn't give you guys a trophy tight lot.
  9. How lond does it take to say your won the NL Pairs or was it a bigger announcing to your public where you went wrong and how you should have put things right and how your going to do it again next year, lol mmmm well that would seem why it took you so long and more acceptable to the public. What time does is start as i will never get there with the dartford crossing being that busy, seems i have to give it a miss, thats the problem when you go to friday nights.
  10. Read in the Speedway Star that Tom put the fastest time up of the day on his 250 engine faster than all of the 500cc class and even quicker then Jack Parkenson, we have been watching Tom for most of the season at Eastbourne and i have to say he goes better on the 500cc at Eastbourne. He is going to be the one to watch, nice and quite and good on the track. you dont see his name smashed all over the internet or in your face, i bet at his school they must think he is a chess player. roll on 2016 if Tom goes to join Eastbourne as i think he has connections there,
  11. Whats going on with the training track as they said it would be done this year maybe they have run out of time or effort to get another thing started.
  12. Maybe we can hang Elvis the Eagle up and knock the stuffing out of him lol or her at the end of the season.
  13. Would love to have a go at running it with the help and guidence from the right people
  14. From what i see yesterday Zac did a big cart wheel and took a big blow to the head and the rest of his body, he was very lucky thats all he hurt, but i am sure he is very sore this morning, but after the blow he had a youngster to his head thats why he stopped racing for a while, I guess he is a bit like Marc Owen where he had a bleed to the Brain, I am no doctor just hope the poor kid is ok as he has had a wonderful year for his first season. This could be the turning point for Birmingham and a step forward for Cradley, Weather forecast for the next few days looks brilliant and hot for Birmingham for the next 3 days.
  15. I love to have a go and see if i can get a broom and have a good clear out of the pits, seems to be far to many people in the way, so let me get my teeth into it please someone listen to me, Clear out the slow coaches
  16. Who wants to be in charge of the next meeting to get the thing rollings, Kent and Rye House do it in a couple of hours, i dont mind having a go if they would let me. Anyone know how to get in touch with someone to bump this thing along.
  17. Think you find that Jack won the British Youth Round at Eastbourne this year
  18. As far as i am aware that Smith has fallen into the Birmingham Camp. Might not have given him the contract to sign as he can float from club to club till next year but as far as i am aware he is going to Birmingham.
  19. Shame really but i guess that Len wants to show some silverware apart from the Pairs which the club did well to win, Seems a big shame as i would have gone if an Eastbourne rider was in it.
  20. i think tonking is a word that is not strong enough for the performance at kings lynn, but add Spiller in the main body of the team you got more of a chance then before, But lets see who cares its another final and we cant change the results. as long as the team put in 100% in would be good.
  21. I had a word with them when they came to Rye House last Saturday, but Woods being local lad would have got a few from the local area, BWD is Hurt, Owen is only an Hour away, Hopwood too far away and Richard Andrews the same, and of course Spiller being 800 miles away in Germany lol but with his performance last time i dont think Len would have asked him
  22. Normally like we had a few weeks ago when we had the double header that the person who pushes the meeting forward should be the person in charge like a meeting co-ordinator but as i found out its not the referee, I was told that the ref can not put any 2 minute time on while a tractor or personal is on the track, ie doing maintanace, When we was at Rye they grade heat 4, 7, 11,14 and the track is not touched during that phase. The clerk of the course is the man who is ment to make it happen but he also needs some back bone to get it going. If a rider touches the tape send them round again and let them wait till the tapes are put back its there fault he destroyed it not the public. why sit on the bike and wait thats all time added. The ref should be allowed to put the 2 miniutes on to allow track staff to get ready, in this league it really does not matter if the race track is like a bowling green it should be raced it as it comes until the riders decide its dangerous. As towards the european waterting the track are twice as big and twice as wide on the turns but most of the material is different to what we have in the Uk, its more of a Sand, I bet if you have a look at all the tracks in the Uk they are all different colours and all have different material and every promoter will have a different way of watering. There is no point trying to say what we do with the track as we dont know what is on the surface at kent, Eastbourne, Rye House, Lakeside. maybe as we have all moned next meeting will go through with out a problem.
  23. Seems no Eastbourne riders are in the meeting, guess Len wanted to make sure that his one of his assets wanted to win.
  24. Birmingham in the Gold Cup and then Cradley in the KOC i hope that way it will be a good end to all 3 teams who have headed the league this year,
