Biggest And Most Important Bspa Meeting
Norfolk Bear replied to CookieIpswich's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
How can you sell / explain the DU /DD rule or the use of guests ? If the riders cannot survive on 1 club then they need to get a second job. Which other sport allows a player to play for 2 teams or to use another teams rider , ? Injuries are part & parcel the sort , the promoters need to live with it . Supporters I am sure would rather back a local than a rider from another team. Not all guests give 100% The RR can stay but massive changes are required. The 1 lap dash is a good idea , maybe draw them so there is a bit of a change. Going the same way that we have for a number of years is going backwards. If riders want extra rides go back to 13 heats & a second half. This is always a good way to bring youngsters through. Has anyone worked out how the promotion/ relegation is going to work , impossible with the current dd/du -

How surprising a Newcastle fan glad to see Redcar lose the points.... -

We will be happy to get anything here, btw who is the referee ? -
Following the postponement of Redcar v Peterborough Mr.Vatcher has called It 50-40 to Redcar with Chris Harris equalling the track record in heat 1. Is that how he confirmed the Glasgow 4 points ? The rules he exploited was meant for 2 leg matches. It would be nice for Mr. Chapman to explain this reasoning rather than leave to a man who is clearly a clown,

I only wish we were in a position to buy the title, still their fans do deserve it they have always been there. No problems with getting beat just the underhanded manor.. Can McGregor & Vatcher referee football ? It is the only way Scotland will get anything on Saturday!!! -
A number of Redcar fans wrote to Herr.Vatcher for his reasoning etc. No doubt from his replies the man is a total prat

Bit like football, the teams with the money always win out
-
No need to run any meetings, just send the programmes to be Vatchered , result complete, no injuries,no engine failures,no money to pay out , Maybe it could be a computer game .. VATCHERSWAY

Following Neil Vatchers ruling on the Redcar - Glasgow match can all promoters please send your heat details to Neil. In the event of an abandonment,no matter how many heats have been ridden , he will then fill in the remaining results to decide the meetings. This can also be done for a rain off to negate the need for a rescheduled meeting. With this method safety & costs are better , no more falls or engine failures , no need for track equipment etc.

One thing about this meeting both sets of fans were great , I expect that from the Boro but all thanks to the Glasgow fans who had a long drive home a lot later than they expected . You are welcome back at the Media Prima anytime. -

To be fair he is no worse than Dishwater , or indeed Ms Horsley & others. That heat 10 exclusion indicates that both of them need to Visit Specsavers. -

As long as the tapes are not touched what difference does it make ? The rider makes the choice. With the current rules Ivan Mauger would never have won a world title , neither would Woffy or Nicki P -
Redcar Half Team V Glasgow Strong Team
Norfolk Bear replied to oldywonkenoldi's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
There can be no doubt that Glasgow were on their way to a deserved victory, my gripes are with the referee. The inconsistency is astonishing, All riders make movements, Last week a Scunthorpe rider pulled back after an attempted roll hence he was last away , hoisted by his own petard you may say, NO Race was restarted with a warning to MPT. Of course he finishes second in the re run so instead of a 5-1 we get a 4-2 . For me as long as the tapes are not touched let them go . The time wasted from start, 5 mins at the pit gate & restart is taking too long. When will speedway utilise common sense , go to one league , stop the du/ dd & get rid of guests...... -

RW has ridden many times at the media , never the favourite opponent of Matej Kus !,, ! -
As all the riders have to be there for Friday why is it that Ellis Perks cannot ride for Redcar on Thursday yet Dan Bewley can ride for Glasgow against Redcar ,Josh Bates rides for Sheffield &Rob Lambert for Newcastle at Ipswich ? Plus Perks will probably not get a ride. This will gift Glasgow 3 points as we are only allowed a national league 2 pointer.
