  1. Choice tonight is the Missus treating me to a chinese or go the the Ace of Herts, with the line up on show it looks like a chinese with a glass of wine and watch the X factor.

    Open Soon?

Made the trip yesterday to see the museum. George Barclay who set it up and runs it was a wonderful man to talk to. Picked a great bargain second hand book on Speedway up entitled The Speedway Annual-Complied by Len Silver and Peter Douglas written and published in 1969. The only downside with the museum is that admission is via Paradise Park which charges £12 for Adults or £40 for a family ticket(2+2). George did say that they were trying to do some deals for admission just for the Speedway Museum for coach parties but one problem is the overall layout of the park and that you can walk all around and see everthing once you are through the pay entrance. One way round it is if you parked outside and sneak in via the main gate as the pay booth is 100 yards into the Park

    Open Soon?

Surprisingly there is nothing on the Speedway Museum site stating it is open, e-mailed Paradise Park and found it was opening. Will be hitting the venue myself on bank holiday Monday.
  4. Yes a nice classy polo top and I know Shadders has a very nice waterproof jacket but neither of us has a lyra top which looks two sizes to small and Rye house to my knowledge has never sold anything like that Arena fan was wearing. As a Spurs fan its compariable to our tight fitting shirts which are worn by some people whose physic means they should be never allowed out in the street in them. Oh well let us all down again VV
  5. Just got back from the meeting. Not much overtaking at all but only to be expected with the quality on show, first out of the gate and with their noses in front was generally the winner. The top four performers in Neath, Kennett, Stead and Hurry were all great. Hurry maybe could have scored slightly more if he did not hit the dirt in heat 16 after tangling with Compton who he then had a discusion with at the end. Ricky Ashworth also rode well as did Olly Allen. Tacey was poor as was expected, also Thorp who never showed at all. Surprise result of the night was J. Wright win in heat 19 and second place to Morris neither who had had a sniff all night, this then pushing out King and surprise package Wilkinson out of a possible top six place. At the end of the night whose a great win for Kennett in the race off, just glad he beat Hurry to stop some gloating from one individual.
  6. To find Shadwell he just after the refs box up in the corner after the seating area. Good spot is the startline area where also a few of the regulars stand also. I,m sure whereever you stand if your presence is known I,m sure people will introduce themselves to you
  7. If it does end up being called off expect Rye Houses challenge against Somerset to be cancelled on 29th April and that the track is available for a rerun.
  8. If you take averages for these riders round Rye House expect Kennett and Neath to do well being home track specialises. Mogridge from 5 rides scored 10 points before, D. King knows the track well and Olly Allen scores okay. Poor performers are Wright, Tacey, Ashworth and Stead. Compton Moore, and Morris could fair well but not Cunningham or Greives. As for Paul Hurry dont know how he fairs at Rye but expect him to go well as the track is similar in size to Arenas.
