  1. Mr Ore Before you come on here telling us what a wonderful company Imerys are,I suggest you get your facts right first. The Annear family started the St Austell Gulls at the Moto Parc in 1997 while the pit was owned by ECC International. Imerys bought out ECC in 1999. I would suggest that it is possible that if the French company had owned the land 3 years earlier , speedway may not have come to Cornwall at all.
  2. Godfrey Have the promotion thought about contacting Plymouth Argyle about getting one of the riders with bike to do a demonstration before one of the remaining football fixtures. I remember Mike Coles and Seemond Stephens doing this a few years ago to promote the Falcons
  3. Can somebody explain why Plymouth have a guest for Kyle Newman because of injury, and yet he was fit enough to ride for Poole last night.
  4. They would be better off moving down to the heart of Cornwall were there would be support for a Premier side
  5. Anybody have any thoughts on last nights meeting. It seems very quiet, especially from the Somerset supporters who usually post on here.
  6. Interesting, looking at those results from a positive viewpoint rather than a negative one . Perhaps Roland Benko isnt quite the dud that some experts on here are predicting.
  7. Emiliano is one rider I would love to see in the Plymouth team. A real entertainer. Proven to ride small tracks well. Has got links with the South-West,would be really popular with the crowd. Anybody know what his average would be having missed a season.
  8. What I was trying to say was, as a former Trelawny supporter, I saw how much difference Rosco made in the pits when he came to ride for us.Helping other riders with set ups, encourgement, experience. Its no surprise to see him successful at Swindon. Godfrey and Peter Dearing also built up good contacts in Europe.Remember them bringing a certain Mataj Zagar to british speedway. They seemed to take their time and put together teams that stayed together for the season. No swapping and changing, building something called team spirit. All I am saying is the Plymouth promotion could do worse than look at Trelawny as a blueprint. As a side note, dose anyone know if Emiliano Sanchez has been injured this season, or retired, or just not wanted.
  9. One of the problems Plymouth have as I see it, is behind the scenes. Losing Godfrey Spargo from the new consortium at the start of the season was a big loss. Experience is lacking not only in the promotion but also at Team Manager.Perhaps Mark Lemon could be persuaded to combine Australia and Plymouth manager duties.
