Ipswich Witches Vs Rye House Rockets Thurs 9th July
Pob replied to Pob's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Can/ should manage 9+ at home every meeting just going to be the away ones that could cause a problem . Hopefully now he has moved away from number 2 it should help him as he won't have Danny King blasting from the tapes and gone . -

Could be a good evening for Gino to try and get his average up a little with a big score . Looking like a very one sided contest as it stands -

Found this on Ryehouse website Rye House team: Adam Ellis (guest), Daniel Greenwood, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen, Edward Kennett (captain), Danny Maassen, Rider-Replacement, Bradley Wilson-Dean (guest) Ipswich team: Nico Covatti, Cameron Heeps, Danny King (captain), Gino Manzares, Ashley Morris, Stefan Nielsen, Rohan Tungate Anders Mellgren and Robin Aspegren both missing for the Rockets due to Swedish league duties , Kasper Lykke still out with a broken collarbone. R/R also in use Rockets bring in Adam Ellis who we all know at Ipswich and Bradley Wilson-Dean will be interesting to see how they both go , Will Ellis have a point to prove after his services were not wanted for this season at Ipswich . Wilson Dean talked alot about in the National league lets see how he fares in the step up . Danny Maassen also 1st time at foxhall i believe , this could end up being a bad night for the Rockets now that i have seen the teams -
Weather looking good for this one but we all know things can change over the next few days . Hopefully The witches will build on last weeks home win over the Plymouth Devils and collect all 3 points , must win every home match left i think now and pick up a few points away from home to stand a chance of making the play offs . Going for a home win by 10+

Well done Danny and Rohan on winning the pairs . Hopefully this will be the spark that ignites our season .

Nico been making an average 1st half of the season very entertaining. I love watching his all effort back wheel in the dirt style . Please Nico more of the same for the rest of the season . -

Good win for the Witches more workman like than spectacular i'd say . Well apart from a couple of passes from Danny and Nico . Welcome to Ashley good solid points from our new number 7 couldn't have asked for anything more from him tonight . Ok please quote me if I am wrong here but thought the Ref was a little too quick at times with his Red light at the start. Might have been looking at different races to me but didn't think there was much wrong with a lot of the starts he pulled back -

Had a look at a few sites now and most of them are saying that from anytime mid afternoon to early evening could be the chance of rain and thunder in the area but most are warning that they could be very localized . Maybe a shower late in the day could be good for the track after all the warm weather ? -

i'll settle for a Witches win hopefully by at least 10 no injury's to either team and some good racing is that too much to ask ? -
What does your crystal ball predict for the score on thurs ?

The away leg is down on the Edinburgh site as Friday August 14th so nearly a months wait in between legs also looks like Stefan will be missing that night as there is a U21 race 2 of the series in Lubin on the Sat 15th . On the witches site it looks like there is no meeting on Thurs 13th , could that have not been a better night for us for the home Leg when hopefully we would have had a full team or would Stefan already been on his way over to Lubin Poland ?
-
Sounds like a right farce of a meeting . Ok you can only beat what's in front of you but was this really fair . Suppose there is curfew to think of but you got to feel for the fans .
-
Yup Gino injured heat 3 Newman injured heat 4 . Morris had 7 rides that night scoring 8 for Plymouth , they also had Halsey guesting for them where as our two reserves scored Nico 13+2 max and Stefan 10+1. think it could be a little closer this time around

Changing the subject a little now that the dust has hopefully settled from the past coupe of days any Witches making the trip to Cardiff next weekend for the GP ? Staying in Portishead for the weekend so Cardiff on the Sat for the GP , still in two minds to attend the Premier Pairs at Somerset on the friday night .

Quit or was asked given the choice ?

Who is right who is wrong will we know probably not but it's the same in any job. If your deemed to not be doing your job/work to the standard which your management wants of course there are going to be repercussions it's the same in any line of work . If I spent the next so many weeks not reaching a standard which my manager wanted they there would be a case that my manager would dispense with my services. It happens all the time in any line of work , yes the person may feel a little a grieved by their mangers actions and say a few words but it's there managers choice . Changes are made new staff hired and work continues but if it continues to happen and results are still bad then it will be the turn of the management to maybe come under action against them . Hawkins has gone his results for this season were poor by his standard and the management has acted for the so called good of the team time to stop all this who is right and who is wrong and back the team . Welcome Ashley Morris good luck for the rest of the season. Only time will tell if the management has made the correct choice

As you say Baldyman something more might be amiss with RT . End of last season when he took the No1 race jacket of Worrall he was flying but come this season he seems to have retreated into his shell . Maybe he don't like it that he's not the quickest witch as foxhall right now ? -

One of the only times he has done this season , but he did do a very good job on Thursday protecting Halsey for 4 laps in one race . -

Ipswich boss Phil Hilton said: “There can be no excuses tonight about the riding conditions as the track was very well prepared so I am lost as to why our riders still appear unable to ride on it as we all know they can.
