  1. Think you hit the nail on the head there . Danny at times has not had the support . Mind you if he looked for his team mate once in a while that might help . Can't fault Danny this season don't think he's let the witches down . Apart from Nico no one has really upped there game Did like the look of Lunna thou
  2. That he certainly is . Bit unlucky with injuries over past two seasons but think his youthful exuberance is his down fall at times . Trying to hard chasing lost causes and crashing when should be settling for what he has . Shame really as has got plenty of talent on the bike , just needs a calmer head on his shoulders at times .
  3. Says on Twitter ruled out by an insect bite which put him in hospital for a few days
  4. After his performances at Foxhall i'm sure Worrall would be very welcome at Ipswich next season .
  5. That would go down well with the locals
  6. You never know I could win the lottery and bring cookie to foxhall lol.
  7. We can all dream but would love that top 3 next year . Cook joining us think there's more chance of me winning the lottery
  8. As I've said before too many of your riders like Foxhall !I'd go with King-Kurtz Covatti -R Worrall Nielsen - Hall
  9. Should be clear to ride 21 day ban which started on fri 25th , 21st day is thurs 13th
  10. Always knew King(riding for Coventry ) and Nielsen(world U21) where going to be missing , im sure Edinburgh more than happy to arrange knowing King was missing . Gino nothing broke from friday just waiting on doctors clearance . Tungate ban should end this thurs so should be free to ride . Covatti can't really plan ahead for injuries . Meeting booked way in advance for all the the injuries and bans .
  11. Sounds like Gino's season could be over if the reports are true. Might not be seeing Gino back next year if it's true .
  12. Edinburgh got beat at home last night do there is a chance but think it's the home leg that's the problem . We are not riding great at home and a lot of their rider ride our track very well . Gonna take the cookie monster to have an off night I think just like he did when he guested for us !!
  13. Says something when the thread is only created on the morning off the meeting .
  14. Think it will have to be a state champ as think the national title series has already started
  15. Good choice of guest I'd say looks to be in a good vein of form . Was as smooth as you like last night for the Witches paid max
  16. Check the ipswich thread. Looking at the remaining matches the Witches could be in trouble
  17. I think we are in trouble and may have to go to Plymouth and Rye House to win that's of course providing we win all our remaining home matches.
  18. Will our home form this season come back to haunt the Witches ? Looking like its 4 teams fighting it out for 5th and 6th place in the league . 5 Sheffield 18 7 1 1 2 1 0 1 5 828 810 34 6 Ipswich 18 4 2 3 0 4 0 3 2 857 783 29 7 Plymouth 16 5 0 2 1 1 1 0 6 696 764 24 8 Workington 14 7 0 0 0 0 0 0 7 620 665 21 up to and including mon 3rd August. 19. Taken from the love speedway website Ipswich ‘Sackers’ Witches have been dealt a big blow in their race for the Premier League play-off spots after Nico Covatti was ruled out with a broken index finger on his left hand. The in-form number two rider joins the banned Rohan Tungate on the sidelines, after sustaining the injury in Sunday’s ill-fated and abandoned Premier Fours meeting at Peterborough, which also saw Newcastle and King’s Lynn rider Lewis Kerr flown to Addenbroke’s Hospital and placed in an induced coma after a bad accident. Former Witch Richie Worrall will fill in for Tungate at Foxhall, against fellow play-off chasers Workington on Thursday night, with rider replacement being used for Covatti, who was injured after a clash with Peterborough’s Ulrich Ostergaard. Aaron Summers will replace Covatti, who it is thought will be out for around three weeks, at Plymouth on Friday night, with the rider replacement facility being used to fill Tungate’s void. “Nico has broken the index finger on his left hand in three places,” said Witches’ director of speedway Chris Louis. “He was involved in a very big crash, but that has obviously been put into perspective after Lewis Kerr’s crash and the fact that he was placed into an induced coma.” Covatti was in stunning form at Foxhall last Thursday, earning paid 16 points in the big victory against Scunthorpe and his absence has come at a crucial time with the Witches occupying that final play-off spot. “It’s a massive blow without a doubt,” added Louis. “He has been our star rider of the year, obviously we have Danny King at number one, and his average has gone up from 4.19 to 7.55. “I thought he would be at seven or eight by this point, so he has done what I have expected.” The sixth-placed Witches are currently five points ahead of seventh-top Plymouth and a further three ahead of eight-placed Workington and Louis is anticipating an exciting end to the season. “It’s going to be really tight now,” explained Louis. “We are one of the in-form teams, even though we are still a bit shaky at home and I see it being a race between ourselves, Plymouth and Workington for sixth spot, although I don’t think Sheffield are clear in fifth yet, so there may be a couple of spots to fight for.”
  20. Whats the heat formula for this event . GP or British final format ?
  21. Thought we had to use guest for Nico as can't have guest for Rohan as he is banned Last week Danny could take a ride for Rohan R/R but the new averages took affect on Aug 1st which now means Rohan is behind Nico
  22. It is very poor from the Witches , in this day and age where social media is so vast and widespread you would have thought that the Witches would be able to do a better job in keeping up and letting the fans know what is going on .
  23. Witches really must win this one with clubs behind them all getting closer and with matches in hand over the Witches . The Comets are only 8 points behind with 4 matches in hand but thou they have won all their home matches they are yet to pick up a point away from home Still waiting on team news nothing on the Witches website but reports are on Stephen Foster Twitter is that last years Witch Richie Worrall will be a guest for the Witches in place of the injured Nico Covatti who is due to be out for about 3 weeks . R/R still for the suspended Rohan Tungate , would imagine rest of Witches will be the riding .
