  9. Well if the Witches really want to make it to the play the have to win this and make sure its a big fat 4 points , anything less and the slim outside chance of the plays will have to wait for another year . Below taken from the Witches Website The 'Tru7.com' Witches take the long trip to Redcar on Thursday to face the Bears in another crucial Premier League fixture (7.30pm). The Witches sit just outside the play-off spots at present and need results to go their way in the remainder of the season whilst completing their own fixtures with a near perfect record. The Foxhall form has been in no doubt over the past two months and whilst the away form has improved, the northern tour did not produce the desired points target leaving the Suffolk side up against it to make the play-offs. A win at Redcar has been targeted by Chris Louis and Ritchie Hawkins and the Witches head north full of confidence after another crushing victory at Foxhall last week against the Comets. The Bears have endured a tough season battling at the bottom end of the table and are out of the play-off picture with just pride to race for. Former Witch Lasse Bjerre rides at five for the Bears who are led by David Bellego. The Witches have a good record at Redcar losing just one of their last five meetings and they will need to be at their best again on Thursday to take the required four points and keep them in the play-off hunt. Director of Speedway Chris Louis knows that the Witches must come away with a win on Thursday. "We know realistically we've got to get four points and it's a track we've got a good record at although they (Redcar) have in the last few months picked up their home form," said Louis. "I think we've got a team more than capable of grabbing all the points from it and they know they have to." The Witches have a good record at Redcar but Louis couldn't put his finger on why teams have good records at certain tracks despite numerous team changes every season. "I don't know, if you always went back with the same team you could always say well this team like this track but we often don't! The reason I say it is it's a racers track and it's quite fast for its size and usually has a bit of dirt on it. We have a team of racers so I feel we have every chance of claiming four points and continuing the dream of making the play-offs." Louis believes it is a track that may suit Danyon Hume after his confidence boosting performance last week and his experience at Glasgow. "He had a real confidence boosting night on Thursday against Workington and I think Redcar has similarities to Glasgow. In his last ride there he looked quite competitive so I think that coupled with the confidence he picked up on Thursday he can hopefully be in a position to pick up a couple of points." 10. They would be daft to let him go , hold on to the young kid he's a bit special and who knows just how far he can go .
  11. Come next season this young lad will be the signature every team will want if he continues the way he is . Who owns /asset of ? Is it Bell Vue ?
  12. King and Sarjeant were both very quick last night , usual jump start in one race by Sarjeant (marginal IMO lol ) apart from that quick away from the tapes . King got outgated twice by Wells but had so much speed was easily past him . Danny currently looking unbeatable round foxhall .
  13. Thought this season away from Foxhall would have been a big help to him but sorry to say he don't seem to be moving forward right now . Worked for Tungate but not for Heeps . Take Tungate back for next season as long as we can get a guest for him for our home matches
  14. Maybe that shows what a fine job your doing on the updates in recent weeks when Sue has been unable to make it to Foxhall. Anyone heard from her lately after her little accident ?
  15. Taken from the Witches Website The ‘Tru7.com’ Witches were in stunning form once again at Foxhall to obliterate the Workington Comets 69-23 on Thursday. It was a one sided affair from heat 1 to heat 15 as the Witches trounced the visitors who had no reply all evening. Danny King recorded his sixth straight maximum at Foxhall scoring 15. King and Sarjeant set the tone in heat one with a 5-1 from the gate before there was a faller in heat two as Matt Williamson came off whilst leading, causing Danyon Hume to crash whilst trying to avoid the Comets man. The re-run will live long in the memory for Hume who won his first heat in Witches kevlars. Adam Roynon made the gate before Joe Jacobs passed the visiting rider on the back straight and then Hume rounded the pair of them on the home straight to lead and take the victory for a Witches 5-1. Nico Covatti won heat three as Morten Risager held off Rasmus Jensen for second and another 5-1. Ben Barker took the chequered flag in heat four with Hume third for another heat advantage that gave the Witches a 19-5 lead. Ricky Wells was sent out on a tactical ride for the Comets in heat five but he could not get the better of Covatti who won with Risager in third to cancel out the tactical ride for a 4-4. It was back to the 5-1’s in heat six as King and Sarjeant eased to another maximum. They just kept on coming all night as Jacobs and Barker became the latest pairing to hit a 5-1 in heat seven with Barker protecting his partner all the way round just to make sure of the points. Sarjeant was a winner in heat eight but it was Hume who caught the eye as he chased Mason Campton in second and passed the Comets man on the third lap to join Jacobs at the front and put the Witches 38-12 up. Covatti and Risager coasted to another 5-1 in heat nine before King and Sarjeant followed suit in heat 10. It could have been another in heat 11 as Barker and Jacobs made the gate but the latter lifted coming out of the second turn allowing Wells into second and the home side had to settle for a 4-2. Covatti completed his maximum in heat 12 with another win as Hume was amongst the action again, passing Roynon for third on the second lap leaving the score rather one-sided at 56-18 to the Witches. Wells made the gate in heat 13 but King passed the American on the second lap and on the final lap Barker also passed the Comets captain who fell to compound the away side’s misery. The 5-1 meant Barker completed his own paid maximum on the night. The away side finally produced a heat winner and it was a great ride by Jensen who prevented another 5-1 to the home side after he passed Jacobs for second on the second lap before then hitting the front after passing Risager on the third lap for a 3-3. Wells made the gate in heat 15 but King was having none of it and passed him going down the back straight making room for Sarjeant to come through into second for another 5-1 to round the night off and leave the final score 69-23 to the Witches with King completing a five-ride maximum and Sarjeant completing a five-ride paid maximum. Team Manager Ritchie Hawkins was once again delighted with the performance and says confidence is high in the team. “Workington struggled but we rode really well,” said Hawkins. “The string of home meetings has really helped us. It’s a great shame we didn’t have that at the start of the year. Confidence is high especially at Ipswich and it was another dominant performance.” Hawkins had praise for a number of his riders who managed to break their own individual records in the meeting. “It was a night of firsts really; that was the first maximum Nico has ever had in British Speedway and I think it was Sarj’s (James Sarjeant) first paid 15 point maximum and obviously Danyon got his first heat win. I’m really pleased with everyone and it’s not very often you go through a whole meeting where you don’t run a last.” Hume continues to impress the Foxhall management and the boss says he is improving every week. “It was a massive improvement from last week for Danyon and he gets better every week and made a couple of good passes which were the highlight of the night really.” The Witches hold the final play-off spot at present but Hawkins says the picture will be clearer after next Thursday at Redcar. “We’ve got to win at Redcar and then we’ve got a little break in our fixtures so we will know more after that. Our points difference has been helped over the past few weeks at home but our focus is now on Redcar.”
  16. Fair shout that thought Ramus Jensen tried very hard last night for his points , was always up the pace and will probably feel rather fed up with his low points return for all the effort he put in . Workington really were bad last night poorest visiting team seen for a long while .
  17. This week didn't look to bad to be honest no one seemed to be bouncing around on ruts or uneven parts of the track . Last week was pretty rough thou think the amount of faller's last week was testament to that . This week couldn't have been that bad Roynon who always seems to have a tumble at Foxhall got round ok . He's only moaning because he was crap last night , and didn't get his usual jump start oh the ref never saw a thing ! Agree with Jensen thou it does look very dark at times due to the lights being directed down mostly on to the stock car track . Maybe Tungate looking for any excuse as he can't ride Foxhall
  18. Well that we prob be the only bit of silverware we will see this seasons so may help
  19. So Tai has made his choice and will sit out 2017 and may come back for 2018 , that's his choice and he has said things in the back ground are the cause without telling the fans what those cause's are which has left a very sour taste for alot of us . I personally like Tai as a rider but his PR skills are not for everyone's liking . So question - Has Tai's coming back to ride for Wolves till the end of the season all been cleared and given the thumbs up ? maybe this is the reason why he can't say what the reason is . Maybe he was told keep it to himself keep quiet and you can ride open your mouth and well who knows .
  20. Your only saying what alot of us already know Baldy its a very slim outside chance we will make the play offs but as a promoter CL has got to be seeing as trying to sell and make his product as attractive as he can to get the money in the bank . Right back to the racing this is a meeting i think the Witches should be able to send the Comets back home empty handed i'm going for a 51-39 with the scoring close till the last few races . Wells rides our track well and has done well as a guest for us in the past but can't see him troubling the King of Foxhall the week another max for Danny ?
