  1. You better check the Speedway GB site as its all change Beat me to it Blobby , yes you are correct read the same as you on the site PLAY-OFF PICTURE - HOW IT WORKS - Each team meets each other once home and once away. - The top six teams then progress to the play-offs to decide the Premier League Championship. - Every Play-Off tie will be raced on a knockout basis, with the first and second placed clubs progressing directly to the semi-finals. Quarter-finals: 3rd v 6th and 4th v 5th. Semi-finals: 1st v 4th/5th, 2nd v 3rd/6th. - In the event of a tie on aggregate in the Final, the outcome will be determined by Golden Heats Format.
  2. Taken form the Witches website The ‘Tru7.com’ Witches are back in action at Foxhall on Thursday as they take on the Sheffield Tigers in a vital Premier League clash (7.30pm). The Witches have not been in action for three weeks since their annihilation of Workington at Foxhall with the away meeting at Redcar rained-off. Since then the play-off picture has become a little clearer as it looks like a shootout for the final two places between Sheffield, Peterborough, Workington and the Witches. A win for the Witches is imperative if they wish to keep their play-off hopes alive with the added importance of making sure the Tigers pick up nothing at Foxhall. The home side are at full strength for the clash. A win for the away side would all but confirm their spot in the end of season shoot-out but they will have to do better than their previous visit to Suffolk earlier in the season as they were defeated 51-39 in the League Cup. The Yorkshire side are led by local legend Simon Stead with Jason Garrity and Kyle Howarth providing support although there are injury doubts over Garrity and teammate Dimitri Berge ahead of Thursday's meeting. British under-21 champion Josh Bates will also be in action for the away side on what promises to be a thrilling night of action. Team Manager Ritchie Hawkins says the break for the team has been frustrating but believes the riders will be ready for Thursday's test. "We got on a good run before the break at home, so to have a three week break wasn't ideal but that is the way of the world at the moment," said Hawkins. "Luckily most of the boys have been racing in a lot of meetings and have been busy riding so they haven't had much of a break like we have as a team. "It's quite simple what we need; we need two wins this week and we need to win by more than six against Sheffield to stop them getting a point, anything less is not good enough." Hawkins says the team are in good enough form to grab the chance with both hands and make the play-offs with the pressure on the opposition to maintain their place in the top six. "It's time for them to stand up and be counted, they've got the opportunity to make the play-offs and we are in the form of a good play-off team so the opportunity is there for us to grab. We know what we have got to do we've just got to go out there and do it. "Sheffield and Peterborough are the two teams we can catch mathematically and they have both dropped down the table a bit so the pressure is on them to keep those spots. In contrast we were written off a long time ago by many . "The form we have been in at home I would expect us to beat anyone and we need to win by more than six it's quite simple. I'd expect us to beat them with a full strength team so we need to get that done and then move onto Redcar." Ipswich 'Tru7.com' Witches: 1. Danny King © 9.38 2. James Sarjeant 5.45 3. 3. Scotman you can boo who ever you like you normally do !!
  4. No theme needed we will just concentrate on what we are good at (mind you that's very debatable !!!) making some noise and showing our support for the Witches in this must win fixture. Come on you Witches fans bring the noise lets get the crowd going and fire up our riders . They have been brilliant at home lately (when was the last home meeting ? ) lets get behind them and make sure the Tigers are tamed .
  5. Choices had to be limited as who would want to guest for the panthers and cost their own team a play off place .
  6. Do Somerset get any thing for finishing the regular season top of the pile ?
  7. So I take it your allowed a guest for Cook as he'll be riding for Bell vue
  8. Next step to see if he can carry on . Looking at his average since he came over Tungate has improved it each year apart from last year i think . Two seasons ago he finished as the Witches No1 and was flying . Have said before i think Tungate alot comes down to his confidence , last season with all that went on probably didn't help the rise of Covatti and King being the Witches big hitter maybe took some of the limelight away from Tungate . He never looked like the rider that finished the season before . He gone from being the Witches no1 to a 2nd/3rd heat leader slot . All speculation yes and there are probably many other reasons why Tungate had a very average season last year . I will admit i was one of the Witches fans who was happy to see him go out to another club this year as well as Heeps who went to Rye house , but i dont begrudge him success far from it well done to Tungate for proving me wrong . Will he be back at Ipswich next season IMO i don't think so but you never know .
  9. Best thing Tungate has done this season was moving away from Foxhall . Don't think there is any Witches fans out there that don't think he's got the talent far from it, His move to the Oaktree has really seen him come on , think he must be nailed on for your rider of the season ?
  10. A must win match for the Witches any thing less than taking 3 points and stopping the Tigers from picking up a losing point and it's no play offs for the 2nd year running . Witches should be a full strength for this vital meeting , as for the Tigers not sure . Garrity missed the Tigers away loss to Glasgow Sunday 4th Sep with a hand injury he aggravated on the Friday night while riding for his EL club Coventry at Bell Vue . Weather forecast for this coming week looking good .
  11. Still hopefully will be usable for the Devils . https://www.facebook.com/lee.trigger.3/videos/10154486704417485/ This shows just how much damage was done .
  12. I just read that on FB . That's really not on sounds like someone has it in for the Devils. Hope they catch who did it .
  13. I've read the exact same thing looks like Ben Wilson is guesting at Mildenhall so Hasley will be at the showground
  14. You did have fun when Danny Ayers was guesting for the Witches thou !!
  15. Every one in the stadium will know who you are Macca come heat 3 when Cameron rolls up to the tapes !
  16. Every rider has to start somewhere ! Well done Danyon Hume this season keeps getting better and better for you lad . As much as i'd love to make the trip to give the Witches some Massif support gonna have to pass on this one as not got any spare days left to take this year . As for the supporters club you never hear about any away trips these days apart from the annual trip to Cardiff. My dad tells me in years gone by there was always coach trips arranged for away matches and mostly well supported but now its a thing of the past .
  17. Hope Morris gets agreed and can ride for you lot , he's putting himself in the shop window for next season sure he'll do a good job for you .
  18. Busk Jakobsen , that surprises me i really thought he was going to push on this season , was your best rider when your lot came to Foxhall . As you said might have a problem with confidence shame as i think he it a good rider but things just aint gone his way this season .
  19. It is a great race track only been a handful of times but nearly always some great racing would love to be able to get there more times a season . Oh i think he knows what he's doing and in fact probarly thrives on the attention . Not alot seems to faze him like water off a ducks back ! I don't think anyone takes offence by his comments and posting we're all to busy rolling around the floor laughing most of the time from his posts . Its a shame some of the posters on here are not of the same mold and would rather spend their time attacking other members with theirs posts . Hopefully he takes it as what it is banter between rival sets of speedway fans ,everyone is entitled to an option its just his at times well what can i say they do make people smile !!
  20. You ever thought about doing stand up ? As fueltaps said i'd rather already have the points on the board . Your home form is crap but surely even the Pussycats should have enough left in the tank with the changes you've made to just scrap in the play offs from your last two home matches against Rye House and Workington . Win both of them i think you'll be safe and won't need to go to Edinburgh looking for a point or two. Could be worth a visit to the Showground this coming weekend to see how the Pussycats handle the pressure . We left it to late to mate our changes and had far too much to catch up even winning both home match and getting a win at Redcar which on current form will not be easy for the Witches , we would still need something from our trip to Newcastle and IMO i don't think we will . Mind you lose or draw either of your home matches and its going to be squeaky bum time for your lot. Building up to great end to the regular season , shame that there wont be any of the matches on Sky .
