  1. Ok lets have a little look at things shall we . Who on here 4 months ago would have said with confidence that we would make the play offs ? No one i bet and if you say different your either a liar or completely stark raving mad !!! We were a disjointed team heading nowhere and looked awful . I think CL and his Team deserve a pat on the back for changing things and turning our season around with the changes they have made . Alot of us have said that they were probarly made a little two late tp make a difference to where we finish but due to other results of other teams we find our selves in the play offs . 3 weeks ago i would have still said we were going to miss out but i'm glad i was proved wrong . So has the nosiey bunch of nutters on the back straight helped maybe but it has made going to meetings alot more fun . With each passing week there has been more and more interaction between the BSF Massif the crowd and the riders which can only be a good thing. Special praise to Ben Barker always showing his support to us on the back straight . There is a kind of buzz / feel good factor right now at foxhall . How far can we go in the play offs not sure over two legs we will give any side that is left a good match but are we strong enough to win the whole thing probably not .
  2. Still can't understand why if the rumors are true Peterborough didn't take a team to Edinburgh tonight. Yes you would have been weakened but at least the fans would have seen that at least the club were giving it a go instead of not bothering surely that means something ? Strange things happen in speedway it only takes an EF here and a fall there and you never know , yes i'm glad Ipswich have made the play offs but if things were the other way round would not be happy . Getting in the play offs because some one can't finish all their meeting leaves a sour taste but you got to take every chance you can . Not good news when you hear speedway supporters fearing for their club's future . There are too many that have disappeared over the years . I hope its just smoke and your club is running next season enjoyed my visits to the showground great race track , and the same to any other club that's not sure about next year i hope you continue .
  3. CL just thank Scott Campos for stepping up at this late stage ??? Someone dropped out of tonight ?
  4. I dont think i have said that he wasn't PL or he was dangerous , just he's still a little green as they say . Bloody hell whats it been a year since he first got on a bike . First saw him way back at start of the season when he got thrown in at the deep end at Rye House for Ipswich yes was out the back every race but lots of effort from him and he wasn't that far away in his races . Steep learning curve for him but he's done really well of late and has justified the faith CL has shown in him . Maybe CL should have taken a punt at the beginning of the season and not gone for Ritchings . Glad he got his chance this season just a shame that it looks like that it for him this season .
  5. Come now Macca we all know he's got talent just a bit as they say rough round the edges . Foxhall not the easiest of tracks to race around (scares the hell out of me at times watching him at foxhall) . Hope he's back for us next season but with maybe a little more throttle control . Big Talent may he be a Witch for many years to come . Get well soon Danyon .
  6. If your stuck leave the face book to me as long as i have the sign in / password i'm sure i can sort that out for everyone ( seeing as i'm in front of a pc screen all day ) If you want to finish and sort out till the end of the season Macca then by all means pass over to me .
  7. Your name is quite applicable to the shall we say our calamitous attempts of music but as Baldy says grab something to make some noise with and come join us .
  8. Poor Danyon , heard about this last night from Macca who was at Smallbrook . Was hoping it wasn't as bad a first thought . Everything will seem better after a good nights sleep well not this time. As others have said been the No7 we have been looking for most of the season shame it looks like his season could be over . Get well soon Danyon What options do the Witches have left now ?
  9. Yes no Lambert shame but will be good to see Kerr back . I'll just be happy with any kind of win and 3 points !!
  10. With the Witches doing what they need to at Redcar last Friday evening and gaining the big 4 points there season comes down to a home /away meetings against Newcastle . With the table so close right now there are any number of permutations of who will finish in the top 6 and make the play offs . Witches need to make sure they take the win and 3 points Thursday night , it don't matter if Newcastle claim a losing point . Don't normally predict the score but i'm going to take a shot at it this time and 50-40 win for the Witches . Below was taken off the Witches website The 'Tru7.com' Witches face the Newcastle Diamonds on Thursday at Foxhall in their final home Premier League meeting (7.30pm). There is huge importance on the meeting for the Witches, who must win to keep their play-off hopes alive when they visit the Diamonds on Sunday for the final meeting of the league season. A strong second half to the season has seen the Witches rise to sixth in the table (as things stand) with two to race and there are many permutations to how the season could end depending on the results of others but the Suffolk side can only look after themselves and get three points on Thursday. With play-off rivals in action before Thursday's meeting one win could well be enough to seal a play-off spot for the Suffolk side. Ritchie Hawkins' side are at full strength as Nico Covatti comes back into the team after missing the away win at Redcar last time out. The visitors sit in third position in the table with a play-off place confirmed but they will be keen to finish as high as possible and build momentum ahead of the end of season drama. The away side will be without Robert Lambert due to an international commitment and a familiar face will step in for the young Brit as Lewis Kerr guests for the Diamonds. Britain's number four Steve Worrall rides at five. The last time the two sides met at Foxhall the Diamonds took a 49-43 win in last season's Premier League. Team Manager Ritchie Hawkins believes a win on Thursday could be enough to seal a play-off spot. "The plan is to get the win on Thursday and carry on our good home form and then I would hope that will be enough to get us into the play-offs now," said Hawkins. "I think if we win on Thursday we will finish fifth and face Edinburgh in the play-offs, that would be my prediction but you never know what is going to happen." Hawkins says the win at Redcar was the best of the season but knows it will be in vein if they fail to beat the Diamonds. "We're in brilliant form and we've hit a good run where it could turn out that we've found our form at the perfect time with another win on Thursday. The performance at Redcar was our best of the season in every aspect and it's looking very good for us at the moment but we need to make sure we get the win on Thursday." The boss says Newcastle will be the toughest test the Witches have faced at Foxhall for some time but is not worried about the opposition. "It will be our biggest test in a long while but we can't spend too much time thinking about having a good run in the play-offs, we've got to get there first by winning on Thursday. It's another pressure meeting but with the form we are in, we are not worried about Newcastle coming in good form either. It's in our own hands now." The former skipper is hoping the Foxhall faithful continue to give the riders all their support during the meeting. "We've been winning and the atmosphere has been a lot better at Ipswich, the crowd should increase hopefully and everyone wants to come and see a winning team. Our last meeting at home is now a massive meeting and hopefully the crowd will keep on coming and supporting us." Our KIDS GO FREE promotion continues for this meeting as we battle for a place in the play-offs. Prior to the meeting fans will have the chance to meet Joe Jacobs and Danyon Hume who will be up by the turnstiles inside the stadium with their bikes for fans to have photos with. Joe and Danyon will be signing autographs from 6.45pm until around 7.10pm Ipswich 'Tru7.com' Witches: 1. Danny King © 9.38 2. James Sarjeant 5.45 3. Nico Covatti 7.32 4. Morten Risager 6.88 5. 11. After all the so called name calling finger pointing rubbish think alot of people are missing the point , it was a rather good meeting to watch with some very good racing from both teams and a meeting that had pretty much all you could want . Oh and Holder was pure class last night
  12. TBH I've had enough of this childish name calling finger pointing he said this he said that crap on here . How old are we for goodness sake . We're grown men ain't we it's like being back in a school playground sometimes reading on here. I don't care what had been said or posted on here this ends now end of story finished fat lady has sung curtain has dropped .
  13. Just one team from the PL moving up ? Still think there could be another moving up if its a fixed race night next season eg Wed/Thurs as it could limit there choice of riders for the season .
  14. Poor lad . Big blow to him and his teams this year
  15. No no no . No Morrissey Fan on the Pussycats threads is like roast beef with no Yorkshire puddings.
