  1. Well these two aint too old, after all, they both spit there dummies out quite regulary.
  2. So it's the National Championship on Sunday and the Pairs on Monday?
  3. As Nicholls and his bike were sprawled across the track he'd have been in the re-run with AJ and who ever it was that won the heat. It HAS to be re-run if a rider falls and causes another rider to fall or lay the bike down so there no chancing your arm, it's a sure fire way to get your self another chance! Similary, if you're in third and the rider in 4th is close to you, go into the bend and let him knock you off, though thats harder that laying it down. I guess the referee could exclude the rider who laid the bike down for unnessearilly laying the bike down so it might be a risk, but the rider has nothing to lose.
  4. Actually, the tapes where not there as Puk had just rode through them
  5. Sometimes he gets things wrong for not being there but saying Oh and rider X has justed passed Rider A when we can all see it's rider Y passing rider A, Millard has no excuses then. He's done quite well tonight though on the Swindon vs Peterborough meeting.
  6. Actually, it's american flat track they show. It usually on men and motors so kepe an eye out, worth watching. They showed a programme about the making of On any Sunday a few weeks back and had interviews with Ivan Mauger (I think). They also had ice speedway and showed lots of clips of all the other motor cycle disaplines they did not show in the final film. Would you beleive they lost the speedway footage so could not show you much of that!!! Again, it was on Men and Motors, so it's sure to be repeated, keep and eye it it's worth watching. On the Speedway on Men and Motors theme, Ouch! That had to hurt has had a few speedway crashes on there, last time I watched in there top 5 crashes of the season, 2nd place was a speedway crash. I have seen the episode with Frank Smarts Farewell twice now.
  7. I'm waiting for the day when some rider uses his head to get another chance. In the first semi last night I was screamig at the tele for Puk to lay the bike down on the run upto the line to "avoid" Scott Nicholls and get a re-run as all the riders would not have passed the line. It's only a matter of time before someone falls on the 4th bend and someone lays the bike down to avoid him rather than riding over the line in 4rd. Or am I the only cynical one who would use this loop-hole if ever given a chance? Cheating? Nah, just a loop-hole that I'm sure Matt Ford would use
  8. Surely how hard Pedersen hit Crump is irrelevant, if you look at it another way and say Hancock should have been excluded when he almost wiped out Nicholls?!
  9. Oh yeah, I had money on Scott to win, so I was suporting him
  10. JT, Neil Street manages to manage ( ) Newport and Australia and be in the pits at all the GP's "pumping up" the Aussies. So why can't Middlo do it? Surely if Neil can get from the GP's to the Uk, it's not that hard for Middlo to do it, is it?
  11. The BSI adverts are always taccy rubbish. The BSI Gp advert was equally nasty. Let Sky make them an advert, there adverts are always good. Whats with the bloody palm tree? Are the taking over speedway? First Swindon and now the SWC, how many palm trees at Arlington and Wimbourne Road? A rough guess, NONE?!
  12. martyb_k11, there is only one person having a go at Greg. Everyone else can see it was clearly a case of Greg being unfortunate and making contact with Scott, in much the same way the Nicki/Crump incident was.
  13. Nicki admitted taking Crumpie off, so I'd say it's highly likely he DID take him off, he just claimed it was not his fault. I don't think it was, it was a rut but Crumpie had done nothing wrong so the ref could hardly exclude Crump who ws riding his line, stuck to it and would have done had Nicki not bene in his way
  14. Well if he did it to stop Greg it was a bit stupid hey? Surely He wanted a re-run at the time as Nicki's World Championship hopes would have bene helped if Jonsson had wo the heat, so he was NOT thinking of himself. I'm not Nicki fan, infact I can't stand him but after hitting the fence at that speed I think he should be commended for even thinking of moving his bike. Shame for Greg Hancock (who was 2nd but come 3rd in the re-run) that the referee was so keen to press the red light button. Also loved Nicki comment when interviewed that eh had no problem with Crump in the incident where he was excluded but he had a problem with the referee. Shame more people have not learnt it the referee that does the excluding, not the fallen rider who normally get the blame. On top of all that, he was brillaint entertainment when he was throwing things and teaching me new words (Danish, of course!!) when he was excluded.
  15. It almost makes up for such a poor season. We just need Wato to get into the GP's now Well done to the young 'uns.
  16. Credit where it due, after a horendous crash in the final Nicki ran down the staright to drag his bike of the track. Not many would do that. Nice one
  17. No, Greg was 2nd comming off the 4th bend when he hit a rut and flipped of the back, AGAIN!! That damn rut, it's had him twice now!
  18. He made a mistake, he caught a rut. He should have bene excluded though, why should a rider have to fall for another rider to be excluded?
  19. I'm still waiting for, "Neils Iversen, just 5 rides away from next years GP series". It HAS to happen soon. Despite the fact he is actually 7(5 rides, semi and a final).
  20. It was in 3 diffeent placs, the 3 incidents you mention. Nicholls was exiting the 4th bend on the inside. TRick was nearer the apex a bit wider and Pedersen was out mid-track somewhere between the two. If it's a rut it's a long curly one!!!!
  21. Tsunami, it's not so much the move but the reaction to being excluded for it. I'm all for claiming innocence, who wouldn't? But not so aggresively, not when he WAS guilty.
  22. I don't think he did it on purpose this time but boy did he throw his toys when he DEFINATLY made contact. COME ON PUK!
  23. I read somewhere that the top 80cc juniors would be giving demonstration races at the stadium. I assume it was them.
  24. As a Welshman who will be sat at hoe supporting Team GB, I think the idea of collecting as many ENGLISH flag as possible is great. It's not like anyone wants to use French flags or anything. At the end of the day it's about letting the team know we're supporting them and when they see the English flag they'll know that they're being supported. When I support Newport I wave my Welsh flag, despite the fact we have 2 Danes, 2 Englishmen, an Australian, a Czech, and ONE Welshman but as my team is in Wales I expect my team to know that I'm supporting them. So come on, anyone who is going, get hold of English, Scotish, Welsh or GB flags, who cares, just let the team know you're supporting them and ignore the politically correct brigade. Just remember to call then Team GB and not England!!
