  1. Are there too many speedway clubs? Would it be better for the sport with say just 16/18 clubs operating?
  2. Air fences are not the answer down the straights, perhaps rider apparel needs to be looked at Perhaps a back/neck support suit under the Kevlars Race suits that inflate? Or race 250's so times are slightly slower Or all fences have 60cm sponge attached to absorb part of the impact
  3. There is no guarantee the top riders will return, the bspa is like fifa, all for self gain not the sport. There needs to be more meetings to give the riders more opportunities to earn domestically, a north/south league is the only way forward
  4. If we're saying 34 points Nicholls 7.24 Covatti 5.53 Morris 3.51 Cook 7.74 Newman 5.00 Lunna 3.38
  5. A successful team, good marketing and entertainment yes, it's time to save the sport
  6. I tend to agree with why try and attract the big names when so very few will support british speedway, It won't bring the fans back, its all about the quality of the racing i.e. entertainment not quality of rider on offer... Regionalised leagues are the way to go, may be left with 1-2 gp riders if any but so be it
  7. When riders move from premier league to elite what is the reduction and the additional reduction for brits?
  8. I own and promote MMA which is similar in many ways to speedway, there are lots of promotions like there are clubs, there is no governing body, and people are only in it for themselves. I do what is best financially for me, I bring up the stars of the future who can go on to become stars in the UFC, speedway should do the same, bring on the woofindens who then go on to leave Britain to race in the better paid leagues. I have a plan for speedway but it's far too much to type out
  9. does that mean packing Ipswich in and just doing sky? Who would take over
  10. Thats something else to consider, I really do believe though that next season they need to take a risk, start Covatti at no.1 he will thrive off the confidence but don't worry i only promote MMA not going to be taking over at foxhall yet lol
  11. I hope Louis goes for 3-4 guys like Covatti next season with some youth who are maybe a "risk" who will either score 3 or 6 End of the day if you are racing this seasons Ipswich, you face the out and out no.1 King 5 days...if you get 3-3 every time thats only 5 points you are giving away, beat his team mates and you've won every meeting. So for me, plus if King is at coventry I would leave him out plus King is looking for more european meetings.
  12. Most number ones should win their races, but skippers also need to do what is best for the team, King has more than enough track craft to team-ride more but lets be fair to him, none of his team mates are near him this season to warrant it - If I was King this season I would win as many as possible and let them fend for themselves because the back up have been simply woeful but they are GOOD riders
  13. That is the only negative for Danny, most times its gate, head down and finish as quick as possible, but also again would you look for a team mate with who is back up?
  14. I think this is doable KING MORRIS COVATTI RISS LAWSON ROSE LUNNA
  15. Having an out and out no.1 hasn't worked tho poor form and injuries have not helped
  16. Look set for a season of 1. King 2. Palovaara 3. Covatti 4. Heeps 5. Tungate 6. Sissis 7. Morris Zzzzzzzz boring
  17. In Covatti you are talking about a rider who was one win away from the GP's and is in the GP Challenge final, with further investment and some fine tuning, I would rip up the scrap book and he could easily become the no.1 for next season, would rather see an entertaining side next season with improvement than the same old so now i will change it to 1. Nico Covatti 2. Robin Aspregen 3. Richie Worrall 4. Kyle Newman 5. Ricky Wells 6. Arthur Sissis 7. Ashley Morris LOL or am i kidding
  18. so my team is similar to this seasons not winning many home or away lol i'll stick to MMA
  19. Baldyman.... Yes please let me know your thoughts, I am not one of these who gets offended when we are discussing just fantasy ha i'd also like to see Kyle Howarth in there somewhere
  20. I got what you meant Scotsman but we can all wish can't we - going from the latest list of averages on the web 1. Jason Garrity 2. Eric Riss 3. Nico Covatti 4. Kyle Newman 5. Nikolaj Jacobsen 6. Ashley Morris 7. Arthur Sisiss Now it won't happen in a month of sundays but how do people rate that team For me I think Ipswich need to give most of these riders a kick by showing no mercy and letting them go elsewhere for a year, if they are lucky to get in the team in 2017 they will know they have to perform or lose their slot... the riders are no way bad riders at all but it all feels a little too safe P.S. I am actually a "Promoter"
  21. I'd only retain Morris & Covatti maybe Manzares but unlikely he'll get a permit. Covatti with Worrall, Jacobsen, Riss, Morris, Sissis.... what does that leave?
