I hadto read that twice, normally people say its the other way around!!

I would like to see jake back in the team and seeing him in the pits on friday showed how much he brings to the team. Having him at number 1 would give us a bit more security in 13 and 15 with wood, with baseby at 3 it would make a very strong top 3. Obviously we can't go saying take Coles and Dugard out as it is early days and really they all did their bit in the evening meeting.
-
Bates did well there makes you wonder why Plymouth didn't sign him
-
Was on my shortlist of riders that fitted 'as it is'. Good signing especially at home if I recall wasn't the best traveller but alwayalways scored which Is what you need in this sort of team.
-
I dont think it was a question of whether he still enjoyed it but more his work load and viability. I think if Jake had ridden this year there was a real opportunity for him to progress with the way the leagues have been 're structured. I'm sure also if his work stops him from making a few meetings we would have rich pickings for guests to replace him.

Wasn't at press day anymore signs of what's going to happen re the last rider or riders if that has to be the case?
-
Another one on my list of maybe as I liked him in 2015 made some good rides especially beating Branford and then double passing the heathens duo
-
Just put of interest what would hurrys average be? Not saying it will be him or I want it to be but anyone got an idea?
-
Well I'll call that a success I wasn't last

Gotta go with it but a heathens win looks likely as they return to having an impressive looking side. Birmingham lacks the wow factor this year on paper but I expect them to make the playoffs. However Harris in the main body could be the gamble, Lawlor a wildcard though imo -
why put a hotel there it's in the middle of nowhere and is pretty bleak. Anyway I thought building on the land had been ruled out as its in the Green zone

going to France aren't they sometime
-
Good one!

Jake Knight although it would be a kick in the teeth for us at Eastbourne
-
switch Kent with Eastbourne and that would be my guess
-
Yes he did also good when he got a couple of Kent fans out there too

Just a thought but at the start of last season the club made a 'snapchat' account... thought that was a great idea but it dwindled over time, as it gave an insight to behind the scenes before/ during and after the meeting. maybe bring that back if there is time to fit it in with other jobs? or give it to one of the 'young guns' who don't ride until after the meeting. Also on the point of time between heats and the fact time between 14 and 15 wants to be reduced, in my opinion i prefer a bit of time between the final 2 heats as it builds tension especially if there is a last heat decider, it gives the announcer time to build an atmosphere in suspense of what could happen. obviously that wouldn't work if we had won the meeting in heat 11.

I don't think he will be there long tbh. After the season gets going it will become the classic case of 2016's where is Gary C.
-
That's one Ell of a signing.... if he can make many of the meetings.
-
But what would be the point in that? Maybe Adam extance would have been a good call
-
Saturday nights are first choice
-
No, not for me he wasn't 8 points was far too expensive for the start of last season and I think the unfortunate injuries could have been a blessing in disguise so we could get Adam and Ellis instead. And Perks who was on a lower average was a much better rider. Im not putting the guy down he's a great head to have in your team and can be a very good rider especially on a 5 average but he's not unknown for the odd bad score when it matters.Anyways good luck for 2017, a bit disappointed we aren't meeting over Easter.

Agree with this this is something like 10 years now isn't it? And he will go out and only score 3 or 4 on occasions unlike Shane's and Ayres. If he doesn't hit the ground running this year it could be another painful year. Secretly I wasn't to bothered with hopwood leaving us last season as he was the "weaker" link in the top 5
-
he keeps saying he's announcing his team today so....

Has to be Kyle Hughes
