Belle Vue V's Wolves Fri 14/4/17
Joe Beevers replied to hyderd's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Another good result for Belle View beating another one of the favoured teams by a good margin. I am dreading to see what the scores are going to be like when Somerset, Leicester and Swindon have to go there. Is this beginning to look like an unfair home advantage or a real excellent side. Time will tell. -
When I have seen your posts, I usually find them very fair and intellectual. Unfortunately in my opinion you are off the mark here and maybe here shows dislike for Poole and their posters and I can completely see why, when a couple of them post arrogant post after arrogant post. But let's not be deluded here. Gavan is no different with his constant mocking and clearly lacks knowledge of the sport when I have had a debate with him and he has to use swear words every time he his list for words. Him,Starman and a few others need to learn posting etiquette in my opinion. I have nothing against him, but he is the poster who I have reported the most since I joined this forum over a year ago.

And thank God you are not the British team manager and this is why fans are fans. Ellis and Bates for the British Champion Danny King? King Lambert Cook And then one of Worrall, Harris, Nicholls depending on who is on form at the time. If again a young rider has to be picked at Number 5, than probably Ellis or Bates but again will depend on form and confidence. Shanes and Bewley seem to be looking good for the future following in Ellis and Bates shoes but Robert Lambert is far ahead of them for his age.

Rye House V Wolverhampton Sat 1st April
Joe Beevers replied to Dave Stummings's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Unsure why the Wolves fans are being so critical of their bottom 2 after a few matches. Greaves is a 2 and Clegg is a 3 point rider and they both have scored a few points each meeting, so they are actually doing their job. Wolves built a 5 man strong team. Howarth and to an extent Lindgren are riding well. Skornicki got his average tonight. The problem is Thorsell and Masters who have 9 averages and are scoring in the 5 to 8 point range in their two away matches. Thorsell scored high at home and Masters did not. Probably harsh on Masters but he hasn't started well. -
I think it will be a very tough year for Somerset if they cannot beat a Championship away when at full strength. Obviously there were cobwebs to be dusted and Sheffield is a unique track but I think Somerset are going to get thumped at places like Wolves, Poole and Belle Vue.

Your 2017 Prem Winners.

Have I missed something with people predicting Kings Lynn? -
I don't really agree with this as if we would have had that attitude years ago, we would have never seen the likes of Bluey Wilkinson, Ivan Mauger, Ronnie Moore, Barry Briggs, Snr and Jnr Crump and so forth. Why can't we have both? It's not like there is enough UK riders to fill the teams anyway and the ACU are actually the next best base. Plus we send our young riders out to Australia to improve every winter. I don't think they would wish that to stop. And also riders like Jason Doyle recently was pictured in the speedway star showing our National Development youngsters what it takes to be physically and mentally fit inside a gym along with Tai Woffinden. I must be honest and say I am surprised nearly 30 people liked that first post.

Perhaps your getting confused with the footballer Andy King because I can't believe your calling the British Champion and a race winner at last year's British GP useless. Maybe you mean Don King?

Sad to hear about Coventry Speedway and send my condolences to everyone who kept the club going and the fans. I am amazed Mick Horton spent over £200,000 to Avatar Sandhurst but nothing to show for it which is also saddening. I have also noticed hardly no-one has mentioned the Coventry riders which is disappointing in my view. These are the men who everyone pay to see and put the entertainment on show and now what do they do and where do they go? Will they be able to get clubs especially the British riders? Looking for positives it's small consolation that the fans have Leicester and Wolverhampton tracks in a reasonably close vicinity and the new rules have given most the riders at least something in the Premier League such as Garrity and Bates.

So officially confirmed Coventry riding at Leicester at home. Interesting.

Without having to trawl through a lot of speculation, can I presume there is no word on this matter yet? I thought the deadline was Friday?

You could still have Kim Nilsson, Szmion Wozniak and Jonas Kylmakorpi as a strong top three. Or if you won the lottery you could have Woffinden, Lindback and Zagar.

King's Lynn Stars 2017
Joe Beevers replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I am suprised he didn't shoot down Gordon Bennett on his rather fair post on Poole going down the non Holder route which I also highlighted was a reasonable strategy that could be understood. However it seems he doesn't like any poster stating this or anything to do with Poole regardless of the team they support or whether they are a new or old poster unless you are a Kings Lynn fan of course. Personally I think the poster has issues. -
It was slight tongue in cheek but they aren't that far away.

Dodging all the snipes about sticking up for a local paper vs sticking up for speedway, I would like to concentrate on the team. I think it has playoff potential for sure. If Batchelor and Porsing can do well, they could be a very strong side to beat at home and a really good move by them to sign Chris Holder. I would say they are the dark horses so far. -
Hmm, I am not sure if your are chainpulling or being serious but even Glasgows top 3 probably look stronger than Swindons let alone Wolves's.

Sgp 2017 Predictions
Joe Beevers replied to bruno's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Probably one of Doyle, Woffinden, Hancock, Sayfutdinov or Zmarzlik to win it with Holder and Dudek dark horses. Anyone else would be a suprise. -
What a pointless reply? I do a whole post making a post and you pick up a minor detail which is hardly irrelevant. Ok I could probably name a few others so what is your point.

Examples? I have never heard or spoken to you before this quite random attack. Obviously you are a multiposter and don't even have to guess it. Why are you shouting in your posts? Usually when people shout it's either because they know they losing the argument or they are trying hard to gain everyone's attention. With a name like DizzAssStar that would suit you down to the ground. I think your probably around 15-18 years old with the way you are behaving with another username and just keen to try and get noticed and try to sound smart for example you say you read history with you do at school or college where you have to raise your hand to get noticed. Can you please stop shouting and taking over the thread or you will be reported. Apologies to the thread users but I am ignoring the child now. Kind regards Joe -

Hmm. Never seen you before or seen you comment on any of my posts especially with the saying 'as per normal'. I would hazard a guess as we have never commented on each others posts, your one of these doodahs with two accounts on here. I don't know why some of you simpletons bother with all this? Anyway in response, it's just an opinion and there is no need to be so defensive and get your swimwear in a twist. Its pretty obvious that any average over 12 is going to seriously hamper a side. That is simple math. If they can build a good side with Holder than fair play. Again a very aggressive attitude in regards to the next section. Unlike a national newspaper, the Speedway Star actually quotes word for word what the rider says so yes I do believe in it like when a newspaper sports journalist states that Harris has signed for Rye House. Or don't you believe anything you read? Maybe you don't read and that's the issue. -
You have Danny King and Craig Cook riding as a heatleader for both and Kyle Newman and Josh Bates as a second string for both. If Jason Doyle gets injured, Swindon would match a CL side in my opinion. And we saw how many injuries and guest bookings there were last year. I think Poole and someone else perhaps Leicester both had 4 riders missing in one meeting last season although I might be wrong. It will be carnage this year because is there the riders to go around. R/R is going to be carrying the ball and chain more than ever this year I believe.

I think this quote has really hit home hard on now how close the two leagues are becoming. It's quite scary.

Think I remember King going to Somerset last year and scored 3 in a meeting. Regardless he should beat them around Brandon.
