  1. So all that I have learnt from this thread from what I have read is: Robert72 was or wasn't a rider? Stevebrum wants to be a rider or was an ex rider who wants to jump back on. John Leslie and Darcys Onion are the same poster. Both have gone quiet since I said there word spacing, dots, paragraphing etc was the same. Starman keeps going on about the amount of postings? I thought I was on a forum. Gavan has finally been giving a ban which I am very pleased with because everytime he doesn't agree with an argument he will throw abuse and childish names at you and many people on this forum like him which just shows what state this forum is in. Everyone coming onto this thread to have a rant about everyone else which is barmy as if British Speedway isn't struggling enough financially, it doesn't look like its fans can unite. Now can we all get it out of our systems and get back to the topic in regards to Tai and the W.C team. Everyone is entitled an opinion and people on here need to learn to agree to disagree with this opinion. Cheers Joe
  2. I don't know and I couldn't care if he was Bobby Davro or Bobby Ott to be honest but I would like to talk about the topic. Noone is betting anything except hot air so can we settle down now.
  3. You have a very unique opinion on this matter which differs from mine but each to their own. I see Greg Hancock as the most professional rider in speedway and I know he would disagree with you along with most the speedway community but I do agree Hans Nielsen was.
  4. He certainly should in my opinion and I would have him with Cook, King and Worrall who all like the track. Lambert at reserve but it is tempting to put Lambert in the team. Tough one. What do you think screm?
  5. I wouldn't call Michael Lee or Nicki Pedersen role models but what will be will be, so you have to either like it or loathe it like Marmite. If your going to make bold statements about a riders financials about Tai wanting x amount of money, without proif this just will not hold up in any forum let alone a court. This statement is too brash. I presumed they were because I was looking at their posts from the last five pages. Similar post spacing, dots, english used, paragraphing etc. Doesn't matter anyway but looked a little weird when Onions referred to John saying something like'take John's bet than' in another context just would seem this as a little odd. Apologies if they are not the same person but postings are strikingly similar.
  6. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Egg on ones face here. Please tell me was Danny King one of the favourites for the British Final haven't scored scores such as 4-8 points on his home track against Premier League opposition. Did you back Steve Worrall to make the final and Paul Starke to score 10 and get double the points Harris got? Was he one of the favourites? Newman outscored him last year. The point was he had a good chance. I suppose you're a rich man backing all your favourite favourites. Every man is entitled to their opinion and I proved I wasn't talking rubbish because I wasn't stating lies or incorrect facts so until I do, I suggest you just settle down and grow up. I will be really wanting to beat you handsomely in the GP riders competition now for your lowest form of wit and intellect being exposed. Now can we carry on with Tai and stop the childish bickering on opinions which we are allowed to have. This to me comes across a little bittle here. Sounds like you either may have tried to make a British Final in the past and are angry that Tai can just dismiss it as not worthy as a lot of riders did always want to rider in one Or you have something against Tai. I am not having a go against you sir, but the Australian riders have been doing this for years and it is the way I sadly feel speedway is moving and I expect more odd things to happen in the future. Unfortunately change takes getting used to. By looking at their paragraph and word structure, looking at their avatar names and also with what they are both saying, I wouldn't actually be surprised if they were the same person. Does anyone else agree about John Leslie and Darcys Onion? Very similar wordings and spacings. I have seen people talk and agree to themselves before. Apologies if wrong but this does look very suspicious.
  7. Oh dear, someone cannot read posts. I was crediting Tai and I respect everything he has done as a person and a rider, which is WHY I said he should ride. And I put my foot in it apparently. Please learn to read the post. I wanted the thread to continue instead of all the rubbish bluffing that was ruining the thread. Oh don't be so pedantic...it doesn't make a bit of difference if he was born here, Australia or in London Apprentice in Cornwall. The point is stop waffling rubbish about other people and discuss whether he should ride. Who calls themselves an onion? Whatever next!
  8. Even more to the point then he is British if he was born here than moved to Australia doesn't make him Australian. Is that all you had to add? No wonder there is 123 pages now.
  9. What a load of nonsense ruining the thread. People running ridiculous bluffs on here. Bet you don't even have a grand to give him let alone ten grand in the battle of the keyboard warriors. And if he is lying then he should be ashamed of himself especially as he is helping ruining the topic writing news that wouldn't make it into the paper I wrap my fish and chips with. So should Tai ride. Of course he should. He is British. Just because he was born in Australia and is passionate about GB not doing enough for speedway which he is entitled to say (and for the record is true) is irrelevant whether he should ride or not. Jason Crump was born in Bristol but was Australian so I don't know how 122 pages of talk has come from such a ridiculously random matter.

  11. Well done to Palm-Toft. I think he will have great satisfaction inside after he a little harshly made way.
  12. Well you got the difference in score correct, so that was a great call. I thought Redcar may win by more to be honest.
  13. So how many actually are there so far and was Italy and Hungary discussed. Does Japan still do speedway?
  14. Just looked up an interesting piece on domestic racing in Bulgaria and Romania which I did not know. Quoting Wikipedia: "Bulgaria has one domestic league, with a total of six speedway tracks. In 2011, after years of neglect, the National Championship was restored, conducted in cooperation with Romania. In 1977 the track in Targovishte, in the country's north east, was licensed for international meetings. The track then held the quarter-final of the European youth championship in 1978, won by Nikolay Manev. The eighth-finals were held there in 1982, 1985, 1986 and 1987, with a semi-final in 1980 and the 1982 semi-final for the World pairs championship, followed by the 1988 quarter-finals for the European youth championship". Also are Italy not still going. I was trying to remember which nations were still going from reading a Speedway Star from a month ago. I cannot think of many to be honest. I would be guessing the Baltic countries and I have name everywhere else except for the speedway that takes place in Japan.
  15. Sorry, I was purely guessing gustrix. I had presumed League Racing did take place in all of these countries at some point as they had teams represented in the World Pairs and World Cup etc. Mind you most of them maybe like Ireland where there were few riders but no league. Hungary would be an interesting guess.
  16. Well of minor countries that had riders, I would guess: Switzerland Belgium Romania Bulgaria France Spain Yugoslavia Czechoslovakia Latvia?
  17. I don't understand your question after having read it three times. Never know with these meetings. Dudek, possibly Kasprzak and someone who loves the track, probably one of the wildcards although it's such an open field. Good luck Robert Lambert.
  18. Oh that would be brilliant if Harris got the wildcard into the GP Challenge. I pray he does and wins it. It would be astounding and quite humorous at the same time.
  19. So Zmarzlik and Lindgren could still get wildcards although on that performance they haven't really earned it on merit. Can riders who are not in the GP qualifying but are in the GP apply to be a wildcard. Say for example Niels Kristian Iversen has had a slow start.
  20. I thought it was 6 and 7th was reserve. So it looks like Smolinski sneaked through in 7th over Bech who goes to reserve?
  21. If this result stands, that is a lot more shocks out than I would have expected. Pressure to qualify as a wildcard for riders like Zmarzlik and Lindgren have not qualified and young riders like Lambert, Fricke and Kurtz edging out experience ex GP riders like Jespen Jensen, Smolinski and Jonasson. Can only be good getting some fresh challengers in the GP.
  22. I don't understand why Bartosz Zmarzlik has 2 points. Has he withdrawn from the meeting in his 3rd ride. Looking not to bad for the Brits after the horrors of the last round.
  23. In my opinion you have to pick the best riders for the track which would mean: Tai Woffinden needs no explanation Craig Cook, Steve Worrall and Scott Nicholls should all be in the top 6 because they ride the track week in week out and will know it more than any other W.C riders except for Max Fricke if Australia pick him. The highest place finishers in the British Final obviously like the track and that would be Danny King and Robert Lambert. These are the obvious six that should be chosen. No idea why people are saying other riders like Harris and Ellis but each to their own.
