Thanks for your reply. If You re-read my original post you will see I was not referring exclusively to GP’s. Not was I referring just to the GP era. I was commenting on World Championship events over the decades which were mostly staged in stadia without roofs. By your calculation 50 GP’s have been held in roofed stadia, leaving how many in un-roofed stadia?. I still think the case for having roofed stadia has not been made .

So the vast majority of stadia were roofless, which validated my point.

How many GP venues used since 1995 have a roof?. How many WF venues had a roof?. How many World Championship events over the decades were staged in stadia with a roof? Too much emphasis is placed on having a stadium with a roof. Just my opinion of course.

At this rate it will be one man and his dog.

I’m getting a feeling of deja vu

Trains come in and out of London from everywhere in Britain. The British GP finishes early. I would have thought fewer people would need accommodation in London than Cardiff.

19,000 was extremely disappointing, 30,000 isn’t exactly wonderful. I accept Cardiff has the contract but can’t help thinking a London stadium would attract a far bigger crowd.

Granted, but a drop of this size should be a cause for concern, particularly as it was a 2 meeting weekend.

19,000?.Really?.. is this a new low for Cardiff?. Sad state of affairs if yes. I know the days of Wembley WF’s are long gone, but 19,000 for the premier meeting is abysmal. People are asking for a second GP!.

Was this for the Saturday or the Sunday?.

Wholeheartedly agree. As the father of a son on the autistic spectrum I have had to deal with enough prejudice against him.

Zmarzlik has won one GP this year, yet leads the standings by 22 points. The other 5 have been won by 5 different riders. This highlights Zmarzlik’s consistency and how open the rest of the field is. Zmarzlik may well win the series with only one victory. What a rider.

Are you suggesting 11 host countries with 2 rounds each?. It’s proving impossible to find 11 countries able to host 1. Or are you suggesting Poland have 11 and the 5 other countries that consistently stage GP’s have 2 each?.

I’m sure all British speedway fans are doing just that. Not sure I fully understand everything you said before your last sentence mind. Nevertheless I am exceptionally happy to see a young Brit doing so well.

Following this on Updates, seems a complete shambles. Surely they won’t use Cardiff again next year.

As much as I admire Bomber, and yes he is having a stellar season in the UK, I feel comparison with Zmarzlik is a tad ambitious.

Obviously some people know things I don’t about a certain person.
