New Training Track(s) For Scotland
teaboy279 replied to CaptainAudi's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Suprised that no one has tried putting Speedway in at either Cowdenbeath or 3 miles away at loghgelly banger tracks. -
Yes it was, yeah.
-
He looked pretty good in 2 second half solo rides. We were speculating that perhaps he qualified on a 3 point average (and a steal) and we were gonna sign him. Good to see him back in the sport in any case.
-
I tipped this as Kents hardest meeting of the 3 this weekend but hopefully we can pick up at least a point.
-
I compiled the 10 fastest times around kent the other night. And our record was set in heat 10! (Beating the record set in heat 1) So Heat 1 not always fastest. What is arly nl lap record btw?
-
Can't wait to visit again, probably do more then just the Kent fixtures there. Hopefully they do something similar to before with the boat crossings taxis and entrance fee for something like 22 quid which represented great value.

Eastboourne Vs Kent Koc Semi Final
teaboy279 replied to catinthehat's topic in National League Speedway
Speedway is Speedway after all. I quite fancy kent could Nick this on the night or at least get close. The tie is over but there is still some action to be had. Plus the bonus of a 12 race second half to enjoy. -
Eastboourne Vs Kent Koc Semi Final

Well the crowd will be bigger then the norm due to kent fans I expect. We brought quite a few down on a rainy good friday so hopefully the weather is better this time. -
The Mighty Midget (armo) Considers His Future
teaboy279 replied to TMW's topic in National League Speedway
Which is great news, top bloke! Does not matter which team it is when a rider falls and is in discomfort Armo is invariably the first man there to check the rider out and stays with him till he is back in the pits. Not to mention he pulled of the move of the season last year at any level. When he dived between 2 buxton riders to take the lead entering turn 3 at mildenhall last year in the pairs. SORRY QUOTED WRONG POST, I MEANT TO QUOTE ALEX -
It's a joke I have seen one person post on another thread that a "large" group go to both. First week of summer holidays and great chance to attract new families and we have an empty stadium.... Stupid stupid decision!
-
What do you call a large group then? I would be very surprised if 20 or so people would go to watch at arena essex rather then kent! You only had to hear the crowds jeers when they announced it Monday night! Worst of all its the first Monday night of the school summer holidays and a great opportunity to snag new fans and we aren't running. Stupid decision! What are people giving the ref hard time for this week, the only things I disagreed with was Morley being allowed to go off 15 after destroying the tapes. ( should be straight exclusion in individual meetings imo) And Dan Greenwood taking Simon Lambert all the way to the fence on turn 2 and getting a4b. Was a sad way to end the meeting hopefully #lammy will be back racing soon. Shane's crash was probably the scariest I ve seen for many years, so relieved to see him get up having been struck in the head with a motorbike!!!! Great to see Widman have such a great evening, he us one of my favorite visiting riders and clearly enjoys himself.
-
52-38 if we don't go down before Heat 11. If we do go down early and use a tactical then I will say 51-42
-
Think I described it well enough, I don't estimate crowds anymore as my guesses got knocked by some people.
-
A few positives from tonight, never seen the track raked so much as tonight, they had obviously got plenty of water down early and into the base. The blue groove only appeared later on in the meeting. The meeting ran smoothly and flowed nicely. Biggest positive for me was Jamie Couzins performance who was very much on the pace and looks a whole lot more comfortable in traffic as well. Ayres doing what he does best winning and Entertaining and was denied a 5 ride maximum by a questionable at best referees decision.I feel Young Danno looked like someone who knew his opportunity to shine was there and put himself under extra pressure, hopefully he will have a good moral boosting points haul against the danes. Shanes again just a delight to watch and scoring big again. Ben Basford noticeable improvement on last week and a challenge match next week could be the extra track time he needs. Well man probably most hard done by was Ben Morley who twice got the wrong end of the refs decisions. I got to be honest I did not have clear view of the greenwood incident but others with a clearer view are adamant that there was contact and when they gave a race win to Greenwood who did well to get close but at no point did I consider the result was in doubt and had filled in my programme. But other then those Dodgy decisions he was the perfect number one looking his classy self. Because of his higher average I actually fear if the promotion do make changes Baseby would be the one who makes way to give them points to play with. Which would be harsh as he is the perfect back up to he top 3.
-
Unless they have something up their sleeve to announce tomorrow I expect either Rob Watt or Matt Saul will ride at 6
-
Why run alternative weeks to Lakeside? We should run every Friday regardless of what the neighbours do. Don't think our fan base is remotely interested in Lakeside anyway and certainly crowd levels will not suffer at central park when arena essex is running at the same time. We'll that's my view anyway.
-
If there is not much dirt on the track he will score well,
-
He said he was still doing the challenge and some mdl racing, it's just the national league he has stepped away from for a while.
-
It's the ko cup semi which is decided by aggregate scores over both legs.

Not noticed it mentioned anywhere since ZW won it in sublime style from danny ayres. Does he still hold it as not heard any reference on the radio when they have been speaking about him.
