  1. Well its nice heading to a meeting not looking at the sky trying to work out which way the nasty black clouds are heading..... beautiful blue sky's today.
  2. Rr for James Shanes who has concussion, Smith also out with wrenched knee. Adam Sheppard replacing him and rob watts at number 8. Bradley Wilson Dean is in hospital still with bruised pancakes so it's unclear whether Rye House will book another guest or use RR themselves.
  3. No way the process to qualify for the fours.
  4. It's a no brained for kent unless redcar have a meeting. Morley Shanes baseby and Ayres. Which on paper is one of the strongest Line ups.
  5. Great night for Brummies who deserved the win despite various misfortunes and controversy. Zach W was awesome to watch and in my view the next tai woffinden. Ellis looked classy in 3 of his rides and Perry looked the best I ve seen him for a few years. Great to see so many brum fans tonight too. Got to say Adam Kirby really was highly dangerous tonight taking down riders a few times. And despite the negative comments I recieved about my text updates about Kirby even 1 brummy rider even agreed after the meeting. A night to forget for the Kent team although James Shanes winning Heat 11 from so far behind was unarguably the best 4 laps of Speedway seen at central park.
  6. Yeah Rachel who was texting me update was unsure as she heard 66 but obviously that was slow. So she guessed she miss heard so we adjusted it, then later in the meeting a 58 second race was announced as fastest of the evening. So it was quite confusing.
  7. Weekend meetings would not work as ferry bookings would be harder to get and be far more expensive.
  8. In our first season he seemed to guest for every away team in the early part of the year.
  9. Was very good meeting and the track looked very good too the extra shale worked a treat with some fast times and plenty of overtaking. Really wish the averages would have fitted yo have Chris Widman in our side. Really enjoyenjoy watching him ride and his enthusiasm.
  10. Rob Branford is a very good guest imo, rides our track very well.
  11. Been pissing down in ashford all day, but as been said due to dry up later. Forecast suggests bright in sittingbourne from 3 onwards.
  12. The fish n chips are sublime and not expensive either. Prediction wise I imagine the eagles will probably edge it by 6 points.
  13. Bid harsh there mate, Chessell is a good guy and ever since he left kent I have looked out for his scores keenly. I would love to see him back in kings colours one day. As for Johnson i think everyone should give the lad a break. Firstly he is young and had signed for a club which looked to be bringing a far more professional approach to the NL which would get any rider excited for the new season, only to have it all taken away because of a clerical error which the club have gone to great lengths even now to accept as bad mistake. In those circumstances I think most people would be pretty upset and whilst it's not right to air it through social media I think 8 out of 10 of us would of reacted in a similar vein. It appears the club are happy to welcome him to race hopefully the fans are the same. Turn it on its head, you eagles fans should be proud that he was so upset he was unable to represent your team.
  14. That's why I said did not think they had graded as was unsure I did see them water mid meeting but never noticed them grading it. But tbf between doing my programme, sending updates and explaining things to my 5 year old the gaps between races get pretty blurred
  15. 20 minutes before start time I was shocked by how small the crowd was. Reckon it crept up to the 750 mark by start time which is low compared to previous seasons but still a crowd many teams in all 3 leagues would love. Have to agree with your Sheppard comment how he scored 7 is a complete mystery. Couzins rode a far better meeting for 1+1. IF we can find a suitable 3 pointer I would step Adam down for a while and let him improve via the mdl. Be interesting to see if Matt Saul is far off fitness as he looked pretty fast at press night until he broke his wrist. Think Baseby will benefit when danny goes up to heat leader. Talking to Danno post meeting the lad really wants to succeed. I don't know what the answer is to get him faster on the straights as he has a nice style on the bike and is never out of control. Think the promoters need to wake up and help our boys out by putting some dirt on the track. Blue grooves after a couple of rides is unacceptable anywhere but when you have dirt Line riders like danny and James it's just shocking tbf. Look how well Couzins scored at rye house on what was considered a heavy track. Can't blame the riders if the promotion and track staff seem unwilling to help out. Don't think the track was graded once all meeting either.... look at the race times 3 seconds off the track record is currently a fast time!
  16. Yeah the ref ballsed up there as no such rule exists in the national league.
  17. James has said to me on Facebook last night that he will be there Monday so fingers crossed.
  18. Has sheppard not ridden for the raiders in the MDL? Speaking to James Shanes Monday it's not a track he enjoys or indeed get round well.
  19. 10 minutes prior to start time I estimated 450. I think once it got underway it looked closer to 7 imo. Bearing in mind there are 2000 seats and a good couple of hundred choose to stand on the walkway between the upper and lower stand.
