  1. They normally have listing up a week or so in advance so I highly doubt this will be covered.
  2. Having updated various EL and PL meetings this year, is fantastic doing kent meetings as not one rider has more then 12 letters
  3. Didn't Charles wright dislocate his shoulder the other night and still completed the meeting. Tough as well as nuts these Speedway riders.
  4. Yeah the weather locally is questionable but I feel we should get a meeting today. Fingers crossed
  5. I believe last night was just to get permanent permission, as it was felt arguing curfews and the like would cloud the main arguments. Believe they will go back later in the year to extended the curfew.
  6. Not up for Kodi or anything like that but does anyone have a reliable site to follow polish speedway this Sunday. Just something I can find in my browser either on my laptop or phone? Thanks Why do they bother, far 2 many second rate overseas riders. And to be frank most PL meetings I ve seen are very much gate and go. Far rather them show some NL meetings with young brits to follow. That said it annoys me having shown meaningless Pl league matches that they don't then show the play off final at least. Kinda like bbc showing the group stage of the footy world cup but not bothering with the KO stages.
  7. The complete virgins are from Ashford so they may have lied....... Permanent planning is awesome news. Now to attack the curfew and race night and Elite league here we come obviously with our NL as well.
  8. As a kent fan I live in ashford around 25 miles or so away, which is about 45 mins due to the 6.30 start time. For 3 seasons us fans have said we constantly meet people who have no idea Speedway is in the county, well this season the club produced thousands of posters and what must of been 10s of 1000s Of brochures (I had a box of 600 alone) and "fans force" was set up. US fans have flyered and put posters up in all the major towns in the county. I know I get questioned on facebook all the time now and this Monday alone I know of a family of 5 and a couple that are attending, the couple old canterbury fans that did not know Speedway had returned and the family are complete virgins. Be interesting to see if gates improve significantly. I think the figure quoted at the end of last season was an average gate of 800 which for third tier Speedway at 6.30 on a Monday is a dam good following already.
  9. If it was just F1 stock Cars and F2 stocks you would get a couple of thousand for a "domestic" but with the addition of the caravan destruction derby for the bank holiday crowds both Speedway and stock cars could have a busy day. Tbf if I was local it would be a perfect double header.
  10. Fact of the matter is if that was a nl fixture the meeting would of ran. What frustrates me is, why not chuck a couple of bikes out there. Before anyone says that it would not prove the tracks 'raceable", it would not prove race ability. Would it would do is show how the track reacts to the bikes. So it would very quickly show the track is a no go, or alternatively would show what bits and bobs could be done to get a race track. Also on covers, I have always though cheap gazibos could help. Both protecting the track but as the cover is not in contact with the surface it would stop the base "sweating". Even tarpoline type covers should be manageable as dog tracks can be covered very quickly. Too many people have the you can't do that attitude, I prefer the what if we tried this attitude.
  11. If on it should be a tight match. Fingers crossed the weather plays ball and the last couple of months are consigned to the history books.
  12. Yes, the clearly have put a lot of work in, but as you say it's hard to use. It feels clunky, and the man with the crash helmet makes it hard to read.
  13. Both Shanes and Ayres (as well as Baseby and Morley) all beat him at CP last year, so fair shout.
  14. Ben91 is correct, just had a look at my rules list and 16.2.1 States NL league matches only count for averages. Live and learn Ben91 is correct, just had a look at my rules list and 16.2.1 States NL league matches only count for averages. Live and learn
  15. I think the young stars seemed to be overlooked, but when you have a 5 pointer at reserve plus a strong top 5 I think they will test out most teams. Gonna say 6 point home win.
  16. Sorry Ben but I thought the cup matches DO count it's the NT matches that don't count.
  17. The only thing I will add to that is, does a rider half a lap ahead of everyone produce a product to attract a paying public? That's a genuine question by the way. Since Kent have been in existence I by far enjoyed our first season the best, despite proping up the league with stoke. We had 3 "wobblers" but we got to see them develop as the season went on. Don't think we won a competive meeting till July 29th, but then we beat Coventry Stoke and then The Mighty heathens in the next few meetings. What a buzz that was, and our crowds stayed massive all season long despite knowing we were going to get turned over each week.
  18. NT doesn't count on averages though. (or at least they didn't)
  19. I ve been panned many times for over estimating crowd sizes so I stay conservative this time
