  1. Kent Kings have made a profit every season they have run so far.
  2. I ve read somewhere else I believe from Jayne Moss who said there are fines for unforfilled fixtures.
  3. If Lynn don't want Shane then send him to kent please. Seems a lovely lad and was giving all sorts of advice to younger riders and indeed adult novices when I met him at Lydd in the summer. And looked a class act, and his form before his horrific crash was the best of his career. I imagine he will have numerous offers this winter.
  4. http://www.speedwaygb.co/nlteamissues16 If you click the most current team declarations at the bottom of the list, this is the current declarations and rider averages. Any rider who is not in a sides 2-7 is officially classed as unattached. Hope that helps a bit.
  5. Tbf Matt has explained it perfectly. To be a guest you must be declared in another teams 1-7, other then rr the only other option is to use a 3.0 unattached rider.
  6. Season usually officially closes last couple of days of the october.
  7. Think most clubs will be sniffing around in all 3 leagues. Big scorer and someone who will increase gate receipts for who ever he rides for. What a shame he never started 10 years earlier.
  8. The track staff is deffo an issue but for me the clash with TV is a non starter of an arguement as most people with access to watch the sky coverage will also have the record function. I would rather watch live action then get home and watch TV coverage skipping out the ads and the waffle (stopping to listen to interviews I may be interested in). Not many more chances to hear and smell speedway till next easter so I would suggest most people will attend whatever the date. Btw I have no doubt it's the right decision to postpone for the fans and riders alike, who wants a semi final littered with guests and rr.
  9. Hands off Ommer man..... Tbf as Danny's mate I have told him to forget NL and concentrate on PL and EL next year. He doesn't have years to waste to see how far he can go. Of course if he stays NL I don't think he would ride anywhere but kent.
  10. Got banged on the head in the 2nd half on sat night.
  11. Ellis will bang in 13 or 14 for sure, and Perks set a time well inside the top 10 CP all time, race times recently so no doubt will be good for a big pay day. Knight and Wood both have the ability to win by miles or be completely off the pace and will always be a threat. Harris is hitting good form again, but Brennan has yet to set the world on fire at CP yet. Onto kent our top 3 should all be good for double figures but need to settle for 2nd rather then bin it looking for wins that possibly aren't there. Mason in the meetings leading to his injury and the meetings since his injury has been on fire so if that continues that's a massive plus. Jack back in the main body is beating nearly all the second strings and the odd heat leader or number 1 so more then doing his job in the grave yard role. After a punishing return to the sport Clifton has returned to some form barring the Monmore blip and if he can chip in 5 or so in both legs that will be a good return. and still on a falsely low average for his ability and experience hopefully we secure his services next year before the vultures circle. Danno is a different Danno and seems to like the big occasions now and can hold on to a lead over faster riders now with his extra stamina. This really could be a tight couple of meetings possibly hinging on a couple of 50/50 ref decisions or an unlucky ef at the wrong time. Both sides must go in full of confidence as both have the riders to win this. Let's hope for to good night's safe racing with good weather in front of Bumper crowds.
  12. Isn't the golden helmet a FIM sanctioned meeting so takes priority?
  13. Dave I have sent you the current team declarations via Facebook. Hope that helps.
  14. You really left early because we were losing? Can't win them all, and the best team on the night won. Still fancy we could beat Brum over 2 legs if all riders perform at both meets.
  15. 62.34 Stevie Worrall, heat 10 vs Mildenhall 27/7/14.
  16. So as their are TV cameras there it may be worth checking to see if it's live in any country.
  17. Nathan Stoneman replaces Danny Ayres who is unwell.
  18. It's strange really 95 percent of riders I can picture riding central perk even ones who have only had a couple of number 8 rides but I just recall Jake. Many eagles fans making the short trip up?
  19. Not seen a topic for this and being a big fixture and local derby I thought I would start one. Likely teams SLYDE KINGS Bowen Clifton Shanes Rr/ Ayres Verge Thomas IT FIRST EAGLES Baseby Rr Perks Wood Knight Harris Powell Brennan I think it will be a tight afternoon with the Kings hopefully coming out 50-40 winners. A lot depends on whether Bowen is declared fit to ride, and how fit he is in the heat of the battle. Danny needs to grab to points available and not over try, 9 or ten points is better then a couple of wins and a couple of dnfs. Shansie has really been the torch bearer for the kings during our recent injury crisis. Thomas will no doubt have another busy afternoon and is consistently getting paid double figures. Clifton looking like he has regained his confidence and form after a series of horrific, painful, and expensive smashes when many others would have quit. Danno has refound his early season form and now looks faster then ever and now beating heat leaders. For the visitors Baseby is a great choice of guest and something of a track specialist so will be good for an easy 10 plus.Perks blows hot and cold, sometimes unbeatable, other times hitting the self destruct button and throwing points away. Wood always solid and when he hits the Grove he is a potential a track record contender always seems to take a couple of races to get dialled in though. Knight having his best season to date but can't recall how he goes at Kent. Harris is another rider who has soundly refound his mojo and is winning races for fun, whilst a favorite with the Kent fans he will certainly want to do well against a side who dumped him a couple of years back. Leaving Powell who has learned to stay on the bike a lot more and as a result has started to score well too. Weather looks reasonable so I expect a good days racing hopefully in front of a bumper crowd. Can't beat a local derby
  20. Think it will be close all night with kent taking the spoils. Fingers crossed.
  21. It's a but dearer then mentioned above but we always park in the undergrounded car park at Gun Wharf keys. Works out about 8-10 quid. It's 2 mins walk to the seacat from there. Also plenty of pubs eateries and shops there to kill a bit of time.
  22. Whilst I agree in normal cases but at the world cup final I saw a security guard take a pot of Pringles out of a child of 3 or 4s hands, I was genuinely gobsmacked. Things like that are going to far.Fine don't let people in with cool boxes full of rolls quiches pies and half a case of lagar. But what's wrong with a parent taking in a bottle of fruit shoot and a bag of watsits for thier toddler, or the old boy who spends his pension going to Speedway and takes in a corn beef sandwich and a handful of worthlers Originals.
  23. Tbf with an ultrastrong top 3 and a lower order struggling with confidence, races at Rye will always be strung out to a degree except possibly heats 2 13 and 15.I have seen Locke at practice once and Bowdry many times and both looked fast classy and at ease, Locke needs to translate that to having riders around him. Bowdry looked even better barring when he put a con rod out through the bottom end of the engine and I ve been suprised he has not been used recently.
