  1. Don't often venture to far from the national league pages, can see why with how off topic this has gone. Shoes this site not get moderated? Anyway back on track, going back a couple of years Steve Rees had serious talks about reusing the stadium and whilst the council supported the plans, the rugby authorities were adamant there was no chance. Perhaps now those talks may happen again. If so, it makes sense for any new speedway/ stock car venture to include the other as it will reduce various costs significantly.
  2. The thing I would like to ask is when will the BSPA stop hindering british riders stepping up to international level but not allowing our riders to enter the european championships and best pairs. For riders like Lambert Cook and even King this competition is ideal for racing against class opposition and put themselves in the shop window for the Polish and Swedish leagues too.
  3. Think the Top flight fixtures are released this month, and there is no way that they can include Belle vue with no promoter. So if Belle Vue fixtures are released I would say that there is a fair chance there is a new promotion on board. Although it has been suggested elsewhere that as because the belle vue Aces name was stripped from the old promoters that it would have to be advertised publicly for tendor. This is normally where we write "only in speedway" could a brand new facility potentially face the prospect of sitting empty, but look at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
  4. Thing is you have 2 out and out number ones, Ben can consider himself unlucky not to have a top flight with Rye this year, he is still young despite his experience and is a track specialist. In Zach you have the break through man of 2015 and despite 2016 being curtailed by a freak injury he should still be considered as the next potential Tai. And then you have two at times eratic youngsters who will blossom under proper tuition from Kelvin and be a joy to watch grow. Whilst I ve never been a big fan of watching speedway at Arena for a variety of reasons, but honestly I would much rather watch your class of 2017 then anything you ve had for a number of years. And with Mason in my opinion the last couple of months of 2016 despite bad luck he looked the best he had done in a decade. And moving off the white line to either make a pass or block one.and importantly at this level Magic is very unlikely to throw points into the airfence unnecessarily. Look at all the teams so far, all have strengths and all have weaknesses. We think we know certain riders will deffo up thier averages but I think the league will hinge on suprise packages.
  5. Gonna wholeheartedly disagree with that, if it was plain fact then there would be no elder riders. It is plain fact that that's what you want the league to be.... There are (in the words of the bspa press release about a week ago) now 3 development leagues. The MDL, NJL, and the SJL are the 3 junior leagues, NL is the 3rd tier of British speedway and yes it develops riders for the old PL, the same as the old Premier developed riders for the EL, and indeed for British riders the EL developed riders for European leagues and international fixtures.
  6. As a number 8 maybe, think he has sorted his van issues, so who knows.Kents next rider to be unveiled Monday 9th.
  7. Massive shout out to Gill and Mick from CTA Fire Detection, who have pledged to sponsor the Kent king riders this year. They were our title sponsors in the first 2 seasons, whilst a deal was not struck to continue that deal, CTA still Sponsored riders both at and away from central park. But to commit to the entire team is a great jesture, massive respect from me. Well done guys.
  8. Shanes has said his continental commitments will be the same as this year and that 2 leagues will not be a problem. I believe he had signed or agreed to sign for Kent until the points went down.
  9. Others I can think of our Shanes Mason stoneman Strudwick Perks woods
  10. Matter of interest how many does behind the glass hold?
  11. That's cool, thought I'd read that he was struggling to be allowed to ride. Thinking about it I was thinking of a British? Citizen with Polish heritage. Only seen him ride central park where he did seem to struggle (but our track was regarded as fast but tricky towards the end of the season) but the Cradley Fans seem to see something in him. Gonna be less of a gamble for amy club compared to a untested 15yr old.
  12. If any promoter bases any business decisions on anything written on this forum then they won't be in business very long.
  13. Luke Harris has the ability to go a fair way in this sport, he just needs to build some confidence imo. If this year he makes the jump forward he has the potential for then he could be a game changer. Another one of a growing generation of polite young men racing who you want to see succeed where ever they are riding.
  14. Surely they need a promoter and keys to the stadium before they worry about thier team...... in the mean while Smith to kent plz......
  15. Steady on LT that is a timeless classic. So reminds me of Wimbledon And Arlington stadiums mid eighties......
  16. Kent certainly won't be getting 2 more out and out heat leaders with 19 points left.
  17. Can I ask do the 8 lasts include mechanicals and exclusions? Tbf either way if your not running lasts then your not giving away heat advantages. Look at his record on the smaller tracks it's just the biggies like iow, Coventry and Lynn where he struggles.
  18. I seem to recall his equipment was all pretty good and well maintained which is half the battle at this level.
  19. He deffo look much improved later in the year. Sort of rider worth a punt as not going to lose points but could add 2,3,if not 4 points to his average.
