  1. Kent dumped mason a few weeks into 2013 and replaced by Compton. Mason then resigned a couple of months later. So don't rule out a return.
  2. Perhaps there may be a shortage of medical cover Monday.....
  3. And on current form he'll probably get an extra ride or 2. Very impressed with him at kent Monday, but seemed to tire in his 5th and 6th rides.
  4. I ve nothing against Paul Hurry riding NL, but there is no way in hell he should be able to replace a 6.5 rider. Paul Hurry will benefit all riders of different ages with their development, be it in the pits or on the track. But it should not be a false average. And why would I say where bits of info come from, I said I was told this by a good source prior to the season. Whether you choose to believe that is your perogative and no skin of my nose either way.
  5. Just read the pr on the bspa site. Hurry quoted as saying "it's been a tough start for David, and I think they wanted to strengthen the top end" What absolute BS as I was told this move would happen before a wheel had turned in anger. Before easter people though ivwas barmy or had a really poor club source. So why are they dressing this up as anything else. This is what then intended since declaring their initial team.
  6. They had the Wolves centre green announcer on the centre green in the live match from Dakarna tonight.....
  7. In light of the higher averages imposed on Hall and Cook, in Cooks case after he had be in the named side for some time. I can only assume Pauls average will be increased from what ever figure he is on atm. And if it's not I don't think it will just be 1 or 2 clubs complaining it ll be the whole lot. No problem with Paul riding, it will be great for the youngsters. And I look forward to seeing him again. But he has to come in on a realistic average which must be close to the full max 12.00 Did I read his last average was 3.61??? or similar in the elite. So by current rules his average should be something like 3.61 x 1.4 Then double that. Which would be at least 10 pts
  8. With a blank space in the monster team, would it be possible for Tai to ride in the competition should he want to. Or can the bspa/acu just put a block on it.
  9. Obviously wishful thinking but Any Brit Emil Freddie Would be my picks Probably end up with 2 swedes on young and one experienced. Then one more eastern European non pole.
  10. When you think how long someone like Carr has been around I often get shocked when reminded he is still so young. Max Clegg is another in the same bracket. Such a wealth of talented brits around under 23-24 years old that with the right backing, and good guidance, and of course a touch of luck along the way. That hopefully a few of them can jump up to the world elite levels. This looks an appealing fixture on paper, hopefully it gets a decent crowd, and we can get to see more of our young brits (and indeed senior team) ride together in challenge matches, be great personally to see a similar fixture at kent at some point.
  11. I believe the customer engines (or power units) are the same in F1 ie Merc customers get the same engine as the factory team. It's the aero package, and the technical stuff is where the big difference is. I am not stating this as fact, but I do recall reading an article that said as much. The article was about the plan for every manufacturer to supply at least one of the private teams with engines, the slant on the article was a longer term plan to move towards the moto gp model of factory teams and satellite teams.
  12. One thing I have said for years including tweeting sky sports and a few clubs and dvd companys. Is that... Why do they not use their main camera on the back straight. Places like wolves spring to mind where you can only watch on one straight. When a good race happens or a news story pops up, action shots and brief clips will show a reasonable sized crowd rather then a car park or empty grass banks.
  13. Pretty confident although not certain, that any assets owned by Coventry when they folded will now belong to the bspa.
  14. Thought this was pie in the sky. But genuinely looks like Coventry will return to Brandon next year and doing what I suggested months ago. Close off the stands and race Sundays to negate the lack of lighting. Assume they will run under the Bees name?
  15. Back to kings lynn would make sense also?
  16. Just means in the KOC that Brennan won't have 3 rides against the almost unbeaten at home Luke Bowen.
  17. This has gone from a debate about the greatest British rider in a generation. To a load of idiots having a arguement trying to force their views on people. If you don't like Tai fine, but to keep recycling the same comments and getting upset when your posts are not receiving multiple likes is pretty pathetic. And for Speedibee to even put Tai in the same sentence as Jimmy Saville of all people really shows what sort of person he is. Seems the Tai haters recycle the same old lines throughout this debate. They try to say the majority of fans no longer support Tai, yet it's only the same 3 or 4 posters that agree. They try to tar tais name, but when you mention Nicholls or #rico had the same issues with the bspa they change the subject. Sounds like a few people on here need a life away from a computer screen.
  18. If Doyle and Holder don't ride in this country then surely their visa's would be invalid??? And they would get sent home. Tbf they were fan coaches John... couple from East anglia and a couple from spedeworth south. All being speedway fans who attend stock cars also.
  19. With a few cup matches coming up the cancellation keeps Brennan at reserve for them. On the flip side if changes were afoot what better fixture to up riders averages then a home meeting with a team that has 1 team leader in it atm.
