  1. If they are going one leagues some of the bigger national league clubs may figure, Cook has recently stated that lakeside will look to move back up. I imagine Kent and Eastbourne possibly interested and able to step up too. With Horton implying bees may ride NL at a track share and the possibility of a Sprockets side too. But I think all the runners at NL will be tracking teams again in 2018.
  2. I ve seen many vocal fans saying they don't like perry Barr, but should the situation arise that perry Barr could be a secure home till the Cradley Trust hopefully get somewhere with Thier plans, surely going somewhere your not keen on is better then having no where to go. If Brummies do go, and I ll be honest I think a deal has been done, otherwise there surely would be publicity about the availability of the club's ownership. But if they did go surely what better solution the 2 clubs without homes Coventry and Cradley use the track with no team?
  3. Have Arena Essex ever had a "big" following?
  4. Always been against age restrictions but would a teams total age work? Say 175 years, average age 25 per rider. Wouldn't single out individual riders like Armo for instance. Do think the average need upping, especially with the SDL giving extra track time to promising youngsters.
  5. Don't get the obsession to lose 2 heats, seems barking to me. What many fail to realise is that clubs are not just restricted to times they can run, but also races that can be run. At kent the limit is 17 heats. So the 13 Heat format still would not allow proper 2nd halves. Gardening, I thought this was a f growing problem. But having Watched some old world final races recently I would say the gardening was worse "back in the day". Doubling up needs scrapping or at the very least limited to brits, under 25, for max of 2 seasons, and max of 2 leagues. Not sure uprights would improve the spectacle but would surely make the sport safer. And yes restarts should be straight away, maybe even subject to a 1 minute warning...
  6. Bailey may lack the home track knowledge but you can cover that at Arlington. Where he will make the difference is away from home, having that extra Heat leader takes pressure from using rr.
  7. One of my all time heroes Stevie Boxall did one in every race against us at Plymouth last Friday, Heat 15 I am sure he clipped the tapes the one time he got called back. I stand on the bend at kent but from the vids I ve seen looks like he got away with them in the challenge on Monday too. Great when it's your rider getting away with it, crap when it's an opponent (always seems more blatant from the opposition riders lol) getting away with it. Sure it evens out over time though.
  8. Didn't Brum use RR for a large part of 2015 season for Chapman?
  9. I think Mildenhall could go there and get a 4 league point victory this evening. When you are so top heavy you need your number 1 and 5 to be dominant. Boxall and Bacon are great guests but lack that little bit of home side advantage.
  10. Yes it is, no rider can guest at the same track within 8 days, except a guest number 1.
  11. Having made the long journey down, plenty of time to kill now. Kent have Morley as guest and rr for stoneman. I believe devils are at full strength. What are people's predictions? I see a tough meeting ahead, but the hope of a league point or 2 are strong.

  13. Think Bowen was due a practice last weekend, but that never happened. Hopefully he has a practice this weekend, and can race the challenge match monday. Save him coming back into a crucial match and having to withdraw after one race.
  14. Gutted Nath won't be back this year, but Dan as a third Heat leader is dan good, and with such a strong middle and lower order this year, he can ride freely without pressure. He started the season at Cradley who are so top heavy that he practically needed to max out or close as possible to get a team win.
  15. Locke pushed the bike so far over the line it was rediculous, I kept looking for exclusion lights as Couzins actually crossed the line in avoiding Locke, so Heat 2 actually should of been a 3-0. *I stand on turn 1 so had the perfect view.
  16. Gonna be a tough close meeting I think. The visiting Heat leader trio of Morley Hurry and Boxall could be devastating and heats 13 and 15 could be exceptionally tricky for kent. Roynon getting his first look at the track could be hit or miss, but Hopwood has recovered his early season form, and JT is becoming formidable (when his bikes don't let him down) around Central Park. But the kent second strings are all scoring freely and riding with composure, and should on paper be able to dominate against a steadily improving bottom 3 of Lakeside. I think the key to the evening is Bowtell. A fast improved rider who at times has looked like a 4th Heat leader. If he is firing kent could be in trouble. While you can never be certain of stunning racing, what I am certain we will get is a tense and exciting encounter in terms of match result. In football terms it's a real six pointer, a defeat for either side won't be a killer blow, but it would certainly dent Kents chances more. Weather looks set fair, let's just hope for a good, safe meeting and of course a 49-41 home win would be perfect.
  17. When this was being discussed on the kent site a couple of weeks ago, a few of us thought it was 31st July, but Connor Dugard posted saying the end of August.
  18. Just compare that to a properly ran club, and at Kent we have already had 15 home meetings this season (plus at least 1 rain off.) Ok the SDL meetings may have attracted only 200 or so fans BUT I still had something to do on that Monday night.
  19. you would have 2 guests and 1 rr, but your point is still valid
  20. Anders Rowe can't be anyone's asset as can't sign a professional contract till he is 16.
  21. Was gonna say the same thing, deffo weekend them, and possibly enough to effect the result.
  22. Fair play mate. Done that a few times myself
  23. Who was the Swindon rider who took down Wajknecht last night, seen a couple of posts on FB less then complimentary about the inability to team ride. Wondered if it was an old or young head.
  24. Waco what are you on mate, you can only have a guest if 2 of your 1-5 are unavailable and this has been the case for sometime. Lakeside have had Thier share of rule manipulation this term signing Hurry on a rediculous average...you are not expecting more favours surely. Would not suprise me though if Laurence gets a bug today and is covered by rr, allowing a guest for ZW.
