  1. What a joke.. .. I am neither pro or against Buxton, but if the governing body are serious about our sport then surely they should waive all the fees and do anything they can to secure the longer term future if the club. It's very easy to shut a track down, very hard to reopen one. It should not come down to the fans to fund it, the whole speedway family from the top downwards should make relatively simple obstacles disappear, rather then creating them?
  2. That's basically what Barry Bishop questioned in the comments of the last speedway tavern.
  3. Yeah it was a bit amateurish and a bit cheap, BUT it was a genuine draw and we had full disclosure. A big step in the right direction. If the BSPA are going to do similar things more often, hopefully they find fit to start unblocking the many people they have blocked over the years many if not most simply for asking a question. Myself, I got blocked after they denied saying there was ever a live feed planned for the u19s. I screenshotted their tweet from 2 weeks earlier as a reply and got myself blocked lol.
  4. Wasn't it only a couple of seasons ago UK teams rode Friday night's before gps. Sure Bomber in particular missed a few practices to ride for the Bees.
  5. Rather then bus I am taking the train this (2019) year. And as a bonus get a Wednesday and Sunday night in Berlin. Cost 150 quidish each from st Pancras to Berlin, can't book the last leg till 90 days before but looking at earlier dates this should cost between 29 and 44 quid each.
  6. It could be a play off side, it could be facing the wooden spoon. With so many new faces in the league the potential for some big early season crashes and enforced team changes at various clubs. The 2019 season is somewhat hard to predict.
  7. I can accept looking stupid, it's not uncommon. But no rose tinted specs, as it affects me not in the slightest what the riders are earning.
  8. Unless your a riders bank manager or wife your never really know what any rider gets from a Club. You can think what you like, as I do about things. I can say things as I know them to be.
  9. Can't comment on perks and extras but as far as I know for the last 3 seasons all riders 1-7 have all been on the same £20 per point.
  10. Just had another 25 minute search to no avail.
  11. I had a quick look but could not find. Do you have a link plz
  12. I also thought he made his PL debut before his NL by virtue of Edinburghs season starting before the Colts.
  13. He was voted Star performer at the young lions academy at Cardiff and got to present a gp trophy, so people with far more knowledge then most of us rated him highly. Something I 've noticed over the last few seasons is how pleasant most of these young lads coming through.
  14. I agree with that, for many riders the removal of a safety net aids their development. Would Jason Doyle of become World Champion had he not had the visa issues restricting him to top flight action? Personally I think not. Lambert rejected a fast track berth in the Elite and opted to go in the main body and thrived. Bewley went into PL at the start of his debut season and look how he has come along.
  15. That's application appears to be resubmitted without the change of times, just being allowed to run Saturday evening's. I had my letter come through from the council today. It says any responses after 21 days may not be used as the decision could of been made by then. So hopefully more clarity within a month.
  16. We had to drop Armo from the plans due to the 2nd tier, 4+ ave ruling.
  17. Why has the team building been blundered, just because you have not been told the full line up, that's not to say the full line up has not been signed already.
  18. 19th December the final decision is made. That said a long time before Easter to reapply anyway. Kemp gets my vote at number 1
  19. From Jacks comments it sounds more like he was dropped by BV and then got a Friday club. Not that he is unavailable for BV because of Redcar...
  20. Thank you to all the Warriors family for allowing me to make history, and the been the first opposition supporter to announce another teams rider. Such an honour, another example of how the Warrior Way is so inclusive.
  21. Think I saw Sam beat a heat leader at every meeting I saw him in this season, baring Eastbourne away in the play offs when he was clearly still not 100 percent fit.
