But records will always so that he is, he is the only 3 time world champion. That's a fact. Any other form of measurement is pure opinion.

2019 National League table prediction

Leicester Kent Belle vue IOW Plymouth Stoke Cradley Mildenhall -
Ironically the complaints come mainly from one road, that road has a music festival taking place at a social club at the end of its road this summer, wonder how the locals will enjoy that.... Interestingly I believe the site still has permission to host Football matches upto 11.30pm wuth no restriction on days, and i think still has per.ission to hold 4 outside music events, making this decision and the objections a lot more baffling.

Tbf, Kent have never struggled with kids on the terraces, and for the last 2 seasons Len has laid on a free junior fan club called the Munch Kings. -
Last time I went to Swindon the car park was big enough to act as a pits for 100 race cars and lorrys and spectator parking. Now it looks barely bigger then rye house's tiny car park. And the master plan appears the have a massive white elephant with literally no prevision for stadium parking at all!!

Tbh I ve not looked it up for a while. It's that horrible time of year, all the new riders have been announced, and there is not much going on news worthy so we try to find other distractions. Mine seems to be working far to many hours and being on nights the world passes me by. Good news is I dont get paid for the extra work I get owed hours so the taxman dont get a bonus and I can get days off for away meetings once the season starts.

Your whole post is spot on, but the final bit so sadly the truest.

I ve not seen it personally so can only judge by what I read and see on TV. But the condition of the track has not been great in recent times, so surely they'd move heaven and earth to at least crack on with that bit. Get the track right and no matter how run down the stadia the die hards at least will turn up. I think what frustrates many people is the announcements of dates when certain things will start by, and then that date comes and goes and no new announcement explaining the delay comes. Then a few months later we get another announcement saying something will happen and the cycle starts again. It's very much a speedway thing to keep the customers in the dark. I cant believe the club doesn't care enough to keep its fans fully upto date, so it makes me wonder if there is some legal matter happening which restricts their ability to comment too much until the matter is settled?

If the local residents who have got the new parking restrictions in Loomer road are to believed, Stoke Speedway is full to the rafters every Saturday causing gridlock....... when in fact the stan woods memorial classic bangers and 2 x brisca f1 meetings are the only events to really draw monster crowds. I know the residents main gripe was the commercial vehicles from the industrial estate blocking the road weekdays, but to read some of the submissions that include the stadium, you would honestly think it was Gorzow v Zialona Gora there every week.

Do you mean Toruns Facebook page mate?

My opinion on this is, run the meeting with the clubs that have nominated people. If it works the way the idea was designed too, I imagine the other clubs would quickly bring people to the table to join it. If it falls on death ears then a few of us Hardcore fans will have had a expensive day trip to some meeting room in the Midlands, but no one will have died. And no damage done. After all the sort of person who will attend these meetings, is also the sort of person to drive up the m6 to watch a meeting at stoke with questionable forecasts. Ie wasted journeys are part and parcel of speedway anyway.

All seems to have gone rather quiet on this. I was first told 26th so I booked the night off before work. I then had a communication saying it would be end of February to allow other clubs to select their representative. But since then I have heard absolutely nothing.

Gonna try chat dad into driving down early morning and spending the day down there. Journey home should be ok heading this way... I hope.

Most admit I am slightly shocked I missed a big story Like Rockingham closing when it hit. Hadn't been there since an early ASCAR/Pop Concert combo. But was a fantastic facility. One that I always felt warranted a Speedway/Stock Car Stadium tucked up in a corner. If they could of got a Nascar rnd there, then surely that would of sold out twice over.

I hate it when the oldies go on about the old days being better. But the modern ice speedway just does dont seem to excite me other the last decade, as much as it did when I was growing up in late 80s early 90s. I seem to recall tracks were a lot more choppy back then with riders bouncing all over and producing many incidents and over takes. Also seem to recall the Russians/soviets being slightly less dominant abiet slightly more scary too. Is this me just looking back with rose tinted glasses or has today's ice speedway become boring and predictable?

Any chance of getting back to Kent now plz slowly getting to tapes up. Zzzzz

I d normally advocate a youngster, BUT I can't think of anyone outside the GPs who can feel more hard done by then Hampel. So for me he should get the wildcard. Just to add if he was any other nationality then Polish I am certain he would of had a wildcard place.

Mike Bushell can claim something that probably 80 percent of us forum users cant, he has fallen off a speedway bike. He has done pieces with Tai and Ruthless in the build up to British GPs.Dont know if he actually has any interest in the sport outside of his work life but unlike many Sports Presenters he treats every sport he covers with 100 percent respect. Be it Olympic sports right the way through to the highland games and everything in between. -
In the banger, stock car, and hot rod scene Buxton struggles to attract numbers both in terms of competitors (in national formulas) and crowds size compared with more accessible circuits. So actually the comparison is valid although contradictory to the point Gustix thought he was originally making. Within both sports, the location restricts both potential competitors and spectators compared to its local rival tracks at belle vue and Sheffield.
