  1. Spot on Arnie, the rule was brought in to give more credibility to the sport. And stop riders missing there least favorite tracks so they can get in a track specialist guest...
  2. Why did Campos no show? Traffic I assume.
  3. Yeah I ve had a couple of mates with similar injuries. One was never able to go back to work despite multiple surgerys.
  4. The track is waterproof, humans aren't... lol. I would assume they poster mentioned it because it affects drinking in the old town square or the beach bars etc. And not that Warsaw fan zone is worth mentioning but poor weather would of affected that too. They would have been my reasons for mentioning the weather. That said the Poles did forget to close the roof a few years ago and the footy got Rained off.
  5. That was what was written when plans were announced.
  6. Deffo worth going. Drop me a PM if you want to meet up for a beer over the weekend.
  7. Another hour or so, and I will be on the way to St Pancaras to get the Eurostar to Berlin.... Cant wait, normally the first visit is most exciting, but knowing how cool a city Warsaw is, I am a kid in a sweet shop.....
  8. The place has definitely made strides in the right direction. The surface bumps and waves seem to have gone, and riders had racing lines most notably turn 2 out wide for the brave. The running was slick, the announcements and music were clear, and by stoke standards a decent crowd in lovely sunshine. People who have stayed away because of the poor reputation of race day experience, really should give it another go. The place imo is heading in the right direction.
  9. Anyone local able to advise what the track is looking like, no further rain forecast before tapes up now. Could be a very close meeting if stokes top 4 all fire. Probably the only track in the league Ledwith has seen as well. Despite its dreary appearance I always look forward to my trips to Loomer rd, it has some strange romantic feel of my childhood about the place.
  10. Having given damp and miserable conditions for my stay, it now looks set to be 20 plus throughout and bright sunshine barring a couple of thunderstorms on the Saturday morning. One more night at work monday and then its holiday mode.
  11. If your writing an article about someone you d think to of ask them for an up to date photo. Equally you would think Craig would want to keep his current sponsors happy . Imagine you pumped a few grand into a rider who then got a couple of pictures in the national press, only to find your logo nowhere to be seen. But companies who have not paid anything this get national exposure. That all said The Daily Star sponsoring Team GB should hopefully mean we may get a few more inches coverage a bit more often...
  12. Think that is probably as fair of an assessment as you could get.
  13. Woffy Bartoz Emil Dudek Magic Freddie Puk Laguta Doyle Vaculik Madsen Lindback Zagar Kolodziej Hancock If Lambert does the whole series I see him somewhere between Puk and Zagar
  14. I ve only done Warsaw the once so only seen from one perspective but it appeared to me that Warsaw seem far faster (in terms of bikespeed) the Cardiff. Especially the speed carried around the bends. I am a lot closer and at the opposite end this year, so will be able to make better comparison then.
  15. Oh I know, until some serious debt gets cleared one way or another there wont be any change in status there. But I do think a current or even a wannabe promoter will eventually go in and buy out Warren Scott and his buisneses. Whether that's in a year or in five years time who knows. As long as the venue is regularly used then its future as a shale oval at least seems as secure as anything can be these days.
  16. Last forecast i saw gave light rain at different parts of the day for every day till Friday. Then no rain Saturday or Sunday, so we are planning on trekking up still. Will benefit Stoke to get it on as I believe we are without Drew Kemp on sunday who is championship duty.
  17. I read the post and found it entirely reasonable too, what I will say is, i think without exception all curfew related issues last season involved riders being taken to hospital or being attended to by medics. Kent in general do tend to get on with it. But along with Weather, work schedule etc something like abandonments would all be in the mix when I worked out wether to travel greater distances to a meeting.
  18. It would be a waste if that's all it stayed as. At the bare minimum if it was allowed league speedway next year, you could be pretty certain promotions would be looking to race a Raiders and a Hammers team out of there in the NL at the very least. I was convinced that both Rye House and The Hammers were going to both come to the tapes at hoddesdon this season. With one traditionally a Friday team and one a Saturday it could and can work I would of thought. Due to the relatively relaxed restrictions on the venue and its location, I am actually surprised more nomadic clubs have not tried using it as a temporary home.
  19. I spoken to Craig albeit briefly on a couple of occasions, once at a track, once in Cardiff city centre. I think he is quite a shy person which can get mistaken for arrogance. I also think he is nieve at times, he tends to go on little tangents about things, and often echoing the majority (although silently held) of peoples opinions. Where he is Nieve is that there is no solidarity in speedway between riders. They see a mate get shafted somewhere but never stand by thier pals for fear of losing a potential future employer themselves. Until riders all stick together what ever wrongs befall them, anyone speaking out, no matter how truthful they are will come across as a baby, a sulker, or hardwork. Craig needs a season out the limelight, with no unwanted media attention. Just plug away banging in scores and rebuilding that on track reputation. With a view to having a serious crack at Sweden and Poland next year.
  20. I was referring to training tracks. Not sure it's that easy for Joe public to have a skid at Eastbourne. Whereas both iwade and Lydd, you or i could roll up with correct equipment, fill out relevant paperwork, pay our money and ride. That's why I added Rye House as again its solely a training track atm.
  21. Think we are blessed in the south east to have Both Iwade and Lydd with well prepared tracks for riders of all standards. Then rye house is not a million miles away either.
