  1. Blimey done all those myself. Plus Upton park and rubbishe hart lane,If you want to stretch the london boundaries a bit Erith and Beleverdere as well. Just off the top of my head.
  2. I think stoke going, and Cradley in doubt I am pretty certain there will just be 2 bigger leagues with an mdl running beneath it.
  3. It certainly would be fitting to squeeze in a Championship level individual after the play offs to give it a fitting send off meeting. Many top names have graced the track. Surely a last potential payday in it, if other tracks farewell meetings are anything to go by.
  4. For many speedway fans it is irellivant and they will just watch both happily, but to give in this case Kent fans a chance to get an early get away and not require 2 days of work is a bonus (I ve seen people ask how you police it, well simply charge the full price on entry and give them 7 quid back at the turnstiles if they leave before heat 1 of meeting 2.) And also allows those Colts fans unable to leave work early the chance to come knowing thier meeting wont start till 8.45 ish and they too dont have to pay to see a match against Kent that is meaningless to them.
  5. Only 30 odd years, so have a vague idea. What you tend to get now is 1 full meeting, and a rushed 10 heats to follow. (Last year at stoke we were treated to a ten heat meeting followed by a 15 heat meeting which was a strange way to do it) Usually the 2nd meeting will feature 2 or 3 riders from the away team in the first meeting as guests for either side in the 2nd match. Coventry always offered split admission for Storm double headers and I recall in the past various meetings I ve attended as a neutral at different tracks offering away fans similar deals. Just because something is the norm, speedway not offering VFM in this case, it doesn't make it correct and doesn't mean it cant be changed.
  6. Away fans, especially Kent get a kick in the nuts. 20 quid to watch 2 away wins when your only interested in 1. And kent season ticket holders lose a home match too. Should ar least offer what Coventry used too, and that's half price admission for away fans wishing to watch 1 match in a double header. Most will undoubtedly watch both meetings anyway, having travelled up, but be nice to offer the option in my opinion. That all said it is of course the right thing for clubs to be flexible this time of the year, as the riders and supporters dont deserve to miss out on a chance to qualify because the management couldn't arrange seven meetings earlier in the dry summer.
  7. Bottom 2 scorers were costly for me. Bread and water for 2 weeks in teaboy towers
  8. With lot of grumbles about the copy and pasting between all the programmes he does, and his speedway vocabulary very much limited compared to a few years ago, and his seeming fading interest in the Heathens would suggest the fire in the belly for the sport has gone and it's become more of a job with a few european trips thrown in as a perk. That's not criticising him, everyone has to earn a living. I feel with Tatum he is a speedway man, and still involved behind the scenes and knows what goes on, and does a good job. I think sat next to a passionate speedway fan who is also an accomplished commentator (and doing the job with no wing man, or studio to cut back too) like Dave Goddard would make an ideal pairing worthy of the World Feed and domestic coverage.
  9. No, I am pretty sure injury replacements are still allowed, if a rider is signed off.
  10. Greaves rode to the pits after someone fell bend 2 (thinking the race was gonna be stopped)and was excluded. Then Ayres and Phillip's either fell or had mechanicals and both set off to push for 3 laps, both were excluded for not completing the race in 3 mins.
  11. Jenkins had definitely been paid as with all Kent riders, straight after the meeting!!!
  12. Can Ledwith be reintroduced to the 1-7 (ie is Wallinger just signed in injury cover?)?
  13. Tai only rides in front of decent crowds though, the lowest being his swedish club which is still around 2000 average. And every competitive speedway match he has ridden in, in 2019 has been televised. And tbf I ve seen badminton and table tennis players on there and they play world champs in front of a couple of hundred people.
  14. You cant go to a motorsport venue and worry about noise.. We are unlucky at Kent and cant have them, but always tend to use em for away matches. Just adds that atmosphere. Only protocol I follow is to aim the horn upwards so its not going straight into someone's ear..
  15. Both the top 2 flights should have 2 young (ish) reserves who stay there for the season. The draft idea was a good one just poorly implemented. And if persevered with and tweaked into a more workable model, then British speedway would be 3 or 4 years further down the line of development.
  16. Great to see Jordan at Kent yesterday, spannering for Drew and helping the lads. He is a cracking lad and an awesome rider, really hope he gets his head back in the game. But speedway is a sport where any doubts could lead to mistakes and getting yourself injured. So only Jordan will know when it's right to return. I personally hope he comes back this year and helps us win the National League medal he was robbed of last year with mildenhall.
  17. Whether he would want to do it is a different matter, but I'd like to throw Mark Loram's name out there. I think looking at the fact that for at least another 5 years Tai will be top dog, so with that in mind Pete Adams does seem the logical choice.
  18. Can you please not bring Chunky and Sidneys thread back on topic... lol
  19. Yeah, could be a couple of suspensions for Cradley here. Never understood why a speedway rider or any sportsperson (pro or amateur) would book a holiday during the season (the exception being family weddings or similar) , shows complete disrespect to your team mates and club fans. (Unless you do an Armo and fly back from your Holiday to ride...)
  20. If Mulford can stay upright early on, and his machinery is ok the he should be good for double figures from his 7 rides tbh. If Mulford matches Baileys scoring, and The Jenkins/Gilkes partnership outscores the Palin/Phillips partnership then Kent can still do this.
  21. Having spoken with Jason Pipe earlier this year, a new rule was introduced to stop riders riding a large part of the season but not doing enough league fixtures to get average. So next season my understanding is that all his competitive rides will count and by my calculations he has scored 72 point from 56 rides which would give him a starting average of around 5.18. Thankfully still good value, and wont leave him struggling to get a team.
