  1. Hi guys, I had a thought the other day about PJR engines etc, and I was just contemplating why more EL and PL riders don't use them. They are clearly very good engines as you only have to look at who uses them to see; Manzares, Bridger, Holder, Woffinden, Schlien, Ward and more. I'm not taking anything away from these guys they're all very very talented riders and could all do what they do without these engines undoubtedly. But as anyone who knows anything about the mechanical side to speedway will know, the more funding you have for equipment in most cases the more consistent and better rider you will be. (Which I don't agree with I don't like how speedway is all about money these days, people with less funding are hardly getting a chance!) Take Manzares as an example, this season is his first in Europe and at some tracks he's never been to before he's been known to score double figures! Not taking anything away from him he is an extremely talented rider, but your engine and equipment obviously plays a big part in your riding. I am aware that these engines are very expensive and a lot of riders aren't able to afford them, but some are able to and they choose elsewhere. I think they would be a worthwhile investment as there's a very high chance you would make your money back running these engines. Views?
