Basso is good and a really promising rider. Offering to, even periodically change race nights to suit a reserve/potential second string seems insane though.
No one can deny that Poole have a great following. That’s got little to do with choosing a neutral venue very inconvenient for a lot of the teams involved however.
Total rubbish. Having an event for teams spread throughout the UK on the South coast makes little sense. The same could be said if it was scheduled to take place at Ashfield or Armadale.
It might be considered the north of England but the league is UK wide. It’s the same travel time from Poole to those venues as it is from Edinburgh and Glasgow.
I’m well aware of where Poole is. The best thing about Poole is the ferry to Cherbourg. The PLRC (or whatever nonsense they’re calling it these days) should be at a neutral venue ideally in the middle of the country. Sheffield or Belle Vue would have been perfect.
I think if Kemp has eyes on the top of the sport this is a big season for him - I don’t think it’s unfair to suggest that. He’s quite a bit behind Brennan for example.
