I think it’s that fans want to see him do better as they think he could be at the next level if he really pushed himself. I’m a bit like that; I never get the impression he’s that bothered. He might be perfectly happy where he is which is the important thing but he has the talent to push on like Brennan and Flint IMO.
Sam was top of the rankings in both leagues at one point which yes makes a mockery of the situation however that’s where we are and the boys need to earn a crust.
I think early on when Armadale wasn’t looking likely for next season Josh was probably looking at other offers understandably. I have a feeling he might stay now. Can’t see how we can get a competitive team within the points limit with Sam in the 1-7 sadly.
Makes sense. I think if rumours are true about where he ends up next that Edinburgh might just let him race and leave the captaincy and leadership stuff to Pickering which I think he’d relish tbh.
Les Collins winning a heat from the back in the 1994 KO Cup Final against Glasgow at Powderhall is one of the finest rides I’ve ever seen. Terrific rider who was robbed of a world championship.
Don’t think Pickering will be back. Wouldn’t be that excited by Hume either. As I said on another thread, if we’re looking for someone at that sort of average I’d approach Dillon Ruml.
Pantomime stuff. Craig has always conducted himself well when he’s come back to race against Edinburgh and is gracious in interview about his time as a Monarch. As a result he still had a good relationship with the fans - there will always be the odd exception to that obviously but you can’t please everyone.
