Southern Track Riders are happy to be taking to the world famous shale of the Adrian Flux Arena again on Sunday 31st May from 12pm. Spaces are available for anyone to join us in the three classes - Novice, Intermediate or Open - or in any of the youth classes - 125, 150, 250cc - that will be running. Riders sign on on the day will be from 10am with riders briefing happening just after 11:30am Spectators are more than welcome to attend these events for free. This is the first competitive meeting at the world famous King's Lynn stadium for us for this season so get your bookings in early. Linda is putting together another fast paced packed days program for all abilities as well as a full youth program. Entries are open for riders of all ability including youth 125, 250 and 500cc to join our meeting on Saturday 2nd May at Mildenhall. The meeting starts at 11am so rider sign on from 9am. Day licences are available along with food from the fish and chip shop during the interval. There will be a spars van on site also. You must have your own equipment though.

Has anyone got any update on this issue? I've had no response from the SCB but the ACU have confirmed it is £60 for a SCB permit and £38 for an ACU National Speedway licence which they say riders also require.

That certainly was my interpretation of the ruling which I received yesterday, but we will be contacting the SCB for clarification as many people ride on the SCB Day Licenses. Are they removing the ability for clubs to issue them to Amateur riders?

Now the dust has managed to settle after yesterday's meeting, we would like to say thank you to everyone who turned up, all 35 riders, their mechanics/helpers, the regular club helpers, the public that turned up to watch us, track staff and to Linda for all her hard work in putting the days program together. What a fast paced excellent days racing. 35 riders racing it out over 59 heats in just over 4 hours - including a lunch break! We hope everyone had a great day with us yesterday. Our meetings are open to all riders of all abilities, including youth riders but all riders must have their own equipment up to the current SCB regulations. Unfortunately due to issues beyond our control, our next meeting at King's Lynn on 12th April has been cancelled. We will now ride there on Sunday 10th May. Bookings are now being taken for Saturday 18th April for Mildenhall.

A great practice session today held at King's Lynn. Thank you to everyone who turned up, from volunteers who braved the cold weather, to all the riders - regular STR members and all new faces of the non members - mechanics and organisers. We now have a month off the track but we return on 12th April for our first race meeting of the season.

Yes of course they are. We do not charge for entry but we do charge £1 for our programs. Even the burger van is open and a bar is open at the end of the meeting for a drink.

We are really pleased to announce another fixture has been granted to us by Mildenhall Speedway Club. Southern Track Riders will take to the shale of the home of the Fen Tigers on Saturday 4th October from 11am. Riders registration will commence at 9:30. Bookings are now being taken along with bookings for our other meetings listed separately on this forum. If you wish to book in, please call us on 07875 140019. All our normal classes along with youth classes will run at this meeting. Remember, you don't need to be a member of STR to partake in our meetings, but you do need your own equipment.
