But what a weekend ðĪŠ.
It's the only GP we've attended where the Speedway is an added bonus and you have to remember to attend.
And if you really don't like crap tracks and racing then you must really struggle watching racing over here .
We've paid ÂĢ600 in total , including flights, 3 nights accommodation in central Prague and GP tickets for this year's Czech GP. The exact same price as quoted for 2 nights accommodation at a local Premier inn for 2 nights in Manchester.
I'll take a flat Speedway atmosphere in a great City like Prague any day of the week.
Yes , if it was anything like Prague last year, it pissed it down all day long until mid afternoon. The track covers saved the meeting from being postponed. I presume the same will happen at Belle Vue this year should the weather forecast be similar.
Interesting to see 2 Russian boxers Berbatov and Bivol fighting each other in the Main Event in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night . Seemingly like the tennis, boxing doesn't regard the Russian invasion of Ukraine as a justification for banning athletes from their sports.
Both those sports have coverage that only Speedway could dream of in the UK and I've never heard of any criticism of their participation in both sports in our press.
What then is the justification for Sayfutdinov and Lagutas continuing absence in World Championship events?
Yes I know , amazing how the prices have plummeted.
Again this year ,we'd already decided we were never paying the ridiculously exorbitant prices for a couple of nights in a budget Cardiff hotel when for a lower price we could get return flights , 4 nights hotel accommodation and train travel for a GP in Poland.
What a pity the Speedway GP in Cardiff has been cancelled this year. Just had a quick look on the booking sites and the hotels in Cardiff are quite reasonably priced for that weekend. I think a fair few people may have made a weekend of it this year ðĪ ð ðĪĢ .
Not really sure why the Lions team was announced over a number of days being as there were absolutely no surprises whatsoever in the team selection and 99.9 % of the supporters already knew the line up.
What a fantastic team Ipswich have assembled. The type of team that'd get you off your backside and want to go and watch if there visiting a track close to you.
Time for other Premier League clubs to step up to the challenge and for their supporters to stop their constant moaning about the Polish League destroying British Speedway. It hasn't at Ipswich.
Let's see more of the top GP riders over here that will draw improve the standard of the Speedway.
Tickets now on sale. Bought ours today. Another fantastic weekend in a great City is guaranteed with the added bonus of a Speedway meeting thrown in for good measure. What's not to like about that. ðð
But is a weekend in Wroclaw better than a weekend in Prague ! ? That was some weekend last year in Prague. Already booked flights for next May. Transport to and from airport to City centre and onwards to stadium can't be beaten for ease of access and cost ð.
Another GP weekend with flights and accommodation for less than 2 nights in a Cardiff hotel
How about having a British team in the Extraliga more like !
How great would that be. Would have to be Belle Vue as it's the only decent British track available.
Our 2nd night tonight in Poznan. Tomorrow we're on the train to Torun and spend 2 nights in Torun for the GP. Home Sunday. All travel and accommodation for less than 2 nights in a Cardiff hotel for our own GP. Something wrong there.
