Pathetic in your case because it seems no matter what Gustix posts your more then willing to have a pop at him. If you dont like what Gustix posts then just ignore him, and stop being childish.

Pathetic posts from both Iris123 and WalterPlinge who seem to have their own agenda.

That sounds like the "fiddle" has already been done!

Jonathan Rae was 2nd las year after he won 3 world superbike titles, this year not even nominated even though he won his 4th world title and got the record for most race wins in a year. At least Ronnie OSullivan got a mention. Nice to see Billy Monger got an award. Remarkable achievement even to get walking after losing both legs in a horrific F4 smash at Donnington, but within 15 months he was racing in F3 and his first race at Oulton Park he finished 3rd. Amazing lad. But sadly no speedway again.

I feel for anyone suffering from such injuries and there consequences. Tomas was at his best whilst I had lost interest in speedway so didn’t get to see him at his best, but, hey, he is an ex world champ so deserves deep respect. Sincerely hope he gets through this trial and can start to recover to some better place then he is in at the moment.

and at BV £20 standing is pretty good. I am assuming they not putting up the temporary stand lie they did for the world team couple years back? Any one know? -
I like Scott’s shirt!

It was in response to the post directly before mine by SteveRoberts who was quoting a guy who advocated having pits on the centre green.
-
Pits on the centre green........ a rider on an out of control bike was killed at Ellesmere Port back in the early 80's (I think) when he hit the tractor/grader on the centre green. Now even tractor/graders are parked off track. Also remember a riderless bike running across the centre green just missing the start girls perched on their seats at a GP/Euro type event in last couple years.

Thursdays - Use them or lose them!

It seems logical to me, under the present situation, that any Brit rider doing well in other countries will give preference to that situation and riding in the UK would not be top of his list of priorities. Its obvious to me that they will go where the opportunity is to better themselves in riding ability and income. -
Was it a true statement, or was it false?????

Time to sit back have a cup of tea.

I think the year that someone put sugar in the fuel tank of PC at British final (1978 I think) could have had a psychological effect on PC. Didn't seem the same after that.
-
I would love to see PC (at his best) at the current NSS BV stadium. Let him miss all gates and see him ride it, Chris Morton as well. Would be brilliant.

Seems like all the bad points of the BSF forum have come out in this thread, as well as others ie Brexit It goes on and on and on, its very boring and very childish. There are times its just best to walk away from the computer (or tablet/phone) and have a cup of tea.

Correct. But Simmo was on a 4 valve Weslake as well and PC sailed past him. I was there in Katowice in September 1976 and no one was going to stop PC winning, he came from the back and he won from the gate. Only point he dropped was when it didn’t matter (his last race) and why take on Mauger when all PC needed was 2 points. Job done - fantastic day, and the only world final I seen live abroad. We went for one reason, to see PC win. He didn’t let us down. And as I remember just a few weeks back Zmarzlik had THE rocket ship of the meeting at the last round in Toruń but still couldn’t win the meeting, in fact he didn’t qualify for the final. This shows you may have the fastest bike but you still need to be able to do the winning. No doubt TW is a great rider, but it’s too difficult to judge the “best Brit ever” when comparing across different eras. PC was the best Brit of his era, and TW is the best Brit of his era by a long long way - he don’t have much to challenge him, but he is also class on the world scene.

You taught me nothing new about go carts, IMO it is still a different sport. The part of you post I was agreeing with was the last 18 words starting with “get rid of...”

Doyle wants Somerset return but......

6 team league would be ridiculous. I say you need 10 at least to make it look sensible. -
Go carts is a different sport to formula 1, so not a good comparison. But I agree with what you saying.

Wild Cards 2019

Robert seems to be unconventional in his career, choosing to race more Germany the uk earlier on. I think he has some good advisors behind him, turning down Polish top division seems a shock to many, but considering his age and career history perhaps it shouldn't be such a surprise. Hes done well in 2018 from a Polish 2nd div slot, and I cant see what he has chosen to do in 2019 will hurt him at all. He has a great career ahead of him, hope he can keep clear of serious injury.
