Only got to be a good meeting towards the end of 20 heats, then the last 3 races were pretty good. The winner, Emil, was back to the old Emil. Hope this means he is really back on top of his game and now goes all the way to become world champ. Interesting gate 4 provide the first 4 heat winners, then nothing.....that is until heat 23, the final, and Emil did it from gate 4. How despondent he could have been having gate 4, but his mind must have been focusing on positive, positive, positive. Emil missed out in 2013 when his dad died half way through the GP year. That was a setback, then he was slammed in the fence in a league match in Poland and suffered terrible injuries, some thought it could finish him. Then he went AWOL for 3 years winning a secondary competition (twice winner European championships.) I agree, there should be some racing before the main meeting, to get the track in a condition for top class world speedway right from heat 1. The way it is now, processional for 3 or 4 races, robs the riders and robs the paying public.

I would guess because he come 2nd in the 2nd semi After 5 rides Vaculik and Emil tied at the top on 12, but Vaculik had more heat wins so he goes in semi 1 and Emil in semi 2, then he come 2nd so that puts him 4th pick for the final

Craig did ok last time he rode Togliatti, he qualified for the gran Prius.

Or maybe not. I can put up with Poole so much, but not that much. If your comment had come from a non-Poole supporter it would have carried more weight IMO.

All this jiggery pokery of the rules, some cant, some can, a favoured few, if it suits me I will do it because I can..... its whats wrong with speedway today. Back in 2013 I started to get my love back for the sport that I lost in the early 80's. I struggling big time to come back. I went to Cardiff 2013-14-15, I did the world team at BV 3years ago and thats it for live speedway. I subscribe to BT so watch all the GPs and love them, other international events and enjoy them, the British speedway league I suffer them. Just cant catch on to British speedway at the moment so wont travel the 60 mile round trip to BV, no matter how good the track and facilities are. And each year as I get older it lessens the chance of me ever going . Its sad, but its my reality. British speedway desperately needs a massive shake up like never before, and not just one big league. Just because it worked before does not mean it will work again. Can I see this massive shake up coming...... No not really, again sad but its my reality. As for last night, great speedway at times. Poole were worthy winners no doubt about it. Think the outside lines were not as fulfilling as can be at BV and it took until Berge hugged the line for it to be seen where was perhaps the better line - too late.

No risks! Riding so close carries loads of risks. Was a great race.

Do the riders who have a Polish contract have different quality of engine/machinery/mechanics in Poland compared to UK.???? Even Robert Lambert doesnt seem to be doing as well in the UK this year.

It half the Tory cabinet didn’t wizz round a speedway track at over 60mph with 3 others in close combat whilst on the drugs. But Dudek and Madsen have served what was deemed appropriate, so it’s closed.

May have something to do with funding that the go is at Prague. Doesn’t look like Pardubice is a big city, ore like a town. Could be Prague city council provide funds on the basis thousands spend money in the city over go weekend. I don’t think Pardubice has the same attraction. Good track though.

New Yorker, I think Tai looks leaner, he certainly fit and that helps with injuries.

Pleased for Kolodjei, thought he was going to be tail end Charlie this year, looks like he making a go of it. He looked genuinely pleased with himself afterwards. Like a child with a new toy. He rode well. I just like speedway, not too bothered who wins so long as they are fair, but preferably not a start tart, so that rules out Madsen, Dudek and Laguta.

Embarrassing? The only mistake I can recollect was not penalising Janowski for moving at the tapes that gave him a win.

I can see what authorities are trying to do in creating some interest pre the actual racing, but it’s not really working so far. in F1 though, a lot is put on being fastest qualifier - it puts you on pole position but F1 is much different to speedway. What F1 needs is to definitely to go to “draw out of a hat” to to determine grid position. Now that would create potential race action, seeing top cars/drivers toward the back of the grid randomly - but it will never happen, the prancing horse HAS to be near the front.

I finding the qualifying system more interesting at the third gap then the first. Obviously the slowest in practice going first was ditched by round 2, that was needed. Now riders are being interviewed after they selected their rider number, so now we getting into the riders mind as to why they chose that number. Only an ardent speedway fan would appreciate the whole qualifying system though, I think. To someone channel flicking it would look very boring and not particularly turn people on to the sport, but I don’t think that is the purpose.

Have you phoned your bank to cancel it? If you dont and it gets used the bank may not compensate you due to irresponsibility.

Could see the energy in Woffys crash the way the fence deflected. Didn’t look good at all. He has already lot of damage to collarbones, that right one in particular. New name on the world championship trophy, probably at least 2 Poles in the running. Looks like Robert Lambert in the series for rest of season one way or another. Whose next in line after Robert? Is it Fricke?

I was told on this thread last Saturday afternoon by CB252 that any Pole would rather see their team win their league championship then a Pole winning the world championship. So irrespective if with 2or3 GP’s to go Poles are 1,2,3 it should not affect Friday night fixtures.
