  1. and if Laguta gets back in the GP series he would defo wave him through. If a leaf blew up the inside of Laguta he would move over. Fast gater, fast bike doesn’t always make a good racer. Emil, though is a different kettle of fish. Jack Holder is one that won’t budge for him. Not keen on Jack, but he is the one of the three youngsters that can stand up to BZ.
  2. But this year’s qualifying system has thrown up a wobbler or two, and has done in the past as well.
  3. That's the problem of qualifying rounds. Carry an injury, engine failure and you can be out in the blink of an eye. Happened on the lead up to one off world finals many times. That reality shows having human beings selecting who goes in and who comes out is a reasonable way of getting a GP line up. Problem then is every man and his dog on a forum want there voice heard. The selection committee has heard the call for fresh faces and delivered. Not to everyone's liking...but you asked, you got, suck it.
  4. I agree, he probably won't win it again, but on form he is well capable off taking positions of Zmarzlik. That gives other capable of winning more of a chance. I don't think Freddie or Leo have much time left either, but both will be capable for a year or two. The new challenge will come from Dan, Jack, and Robert.....but not for a couple of years yet.
  5. Tai was coming back on form, he was in the final at Vojens. I think he deserves to be in.
  6. But the fault BZ was excluded is no one else’s fault but BZ and his team. He put the wrong suit on. It’s not that his sponsors name was just a small patch, sort of 25mmx120mm…… it’s big letters. So BZ didn’t notice, neither did his team of three (or four). I beginning to think like some others…… it’s possible, maybe it was planned and it all went wron
  7. IF BZ team was involved, IF it had gone unnoticed then BZ would have been wearing a companies name in the photographs.when they were not entitled to. I not saying BZ them was involved, it’s been a suggestion. I just trying to get you to see the situ from a sponsors point of view, a sponsor that’s put in, I reckon, a 6 figure sum. Like all sports sponsors put in lots of money are needed. Without sponsors speedway would be difficult to run.
  8. Because if BZ captured the world championship at that meeting……which was very likely, then it would have been his sponsor who would be in all the photos….. that’s worth a lot and they had not paid for it.
  9. It’s easy to think that a rider wearing a non approved suit is something minor and can be “overlooked” with a fine. That may not be the view of the company who probably invested maybe a 6 figure sum to be main sponsor only to be “took out” by some other unpaid advert. Maybe the main sponsor spotted the error and made a complaint…..and who can blame them…….i couldn’t. A 6 figure sum, say 100,000 is just 10,000 per GP, I suspect the fee would be more than 100k, maybe 250k. Not peanuts)
  10. DJC has made the same mistake as myself….. forgot Doyle won the Challenge and is straight in.
  11. My shot as to who will get the jury's vote....... Bewley, Doyle, Fricke, Woffy, Thomson. of those not in my pick I can only see Dudek and Lebedev as of any worth. It was a tight choice between Fricke and Dudek, I picked Fricke because he scored more points even though both did a full 10 GPs. Lebedevs has had a good number of meetings this year, but at his age is he going to get any better? I don't think so. Woffy is one of those who can (still) beat Zmarzlik in an odd race or two. Thomson deserves a pick because he wasn't doing too bad when badly injured. I read some would rid of Doyle because he is dangerously too tough. Perhaps if he had received some sort of public warning they could leave him out, but as it is how can they just leave no 8 in the world out. last night Kubera didn't impress me, 1 win, 2 thirds, 2 lasts not good enough. One who did impress for the future was Luke Becker. He would have learned a lot last night, and he was in the mix more than Kubera was. However, that would leave only one Pole in the 2024 GP series and I don't think that is going to happen. so...... I don't know all
  12. Apologise for a late reply..... I am with Discovery+. I understand to get Eurosport I would need Sky. For 2023 Discovery+ was £60 and I seen all 10 GPs, the Speedway of Nations, British Championship, plus a good number of British Premiership matches.... and they are still ongoing.
  13. obviously problems in Torun. All I get is a pit shot on Zmarzlik and crew. To the right of the screen is what looks like a monitor actually showing what I suspect should be on my screen.
  14. Commentary on my Discovery+ is in German too.
  15. Be interesting if it is Becker that's in. Kvech seems to have stopped improving. Might be a bit hard on him but that's how I see things.
  16. Has Woffy had another fall, or is his hand not healing so fast?
  17. He may be, but Emil is a far better racer, that's the difference.
  18. Pure jealousy. It took hard work by Mort & co. to get the council to layout for a new track. No doubt they reminded the council that Hyde Road track was of international renown for 50 years, had provided jobs in the area, won many sporting accolades, had 4 riders winning seven world individual world championships (that’s PCx2, OF, PC, JCx3), provided wholesome entertainment for families over decades etc. If Wolverhampton or Peterborough, or indeed anywhere council, offered to cough up financial support to build a track I am sure the supporters in those areas would be cock-a-hoop at the offer. Unfortunately in today’s climate it is highly unlikely it will happen. But instead of being happy that a team (and everything that surrounds that term) has managed to continue successfully, some members of the speedway family begrudge others having got what they would definitely be very happy to receive in their own area. If you are REAL speedway fans everyone should be unreservedly happy for any team to receive help from whatever legit source.
  19. Good to see Ove Fundin walking around the pits last Friday evening for round 4 of the SEC championship in Pardubice. Mind you, he’s just a youngster at 90
  20. A bold statement Chunky. I would like to think your wrong but I have no proof.
