Thanks. Still seems good value if that’s what you want to watch. -
Speedway On Tv And The Internet In 2024

What is Premier showing….. the GP’s. If it is the GP’ and they show 10 for example, that would cost £7 per GP….. that would be a bargain in my mind. -
Thanks for that, a lot of new news there. I signed up for BT Broadband 18 months ago (2 year contract) with BT Sport when they had the speedwayGP and MotoGP. Up for renewal late Jan 2023. Now they only have MotoGP ….. which I love, but I love SpeedwayGP too, so I tool out a Discovery+ offer of 12 month half price (£29.99) so I can see SpeedwayGP live. Just want this lot to sort out by next Jan so I can take out a broadband package and hopefully SpeedwayGP and MotoGP viewing all for less then I pay now. If I have to save money, and that looks likely, I would have to ditch the MotoGP package, and hopefully be able to watch it Tuesday evening in a condensed 1 hour program covering Motogp1, Moto2, and Moto3. Hopefully MotoGP will be integrated into Discovery+ so I get to see it all, hopefully for a realistic price. Lot still up in the air.

At today Moto GP in Mugello, Italy tickets in the grandstand were over £200, elsewhere round the track around £100. Expected crowd was 100,000, the actual crowd was reported at around 40,000. Over the last 2 years businesses have lost a lot of revenue during lockdown, but the public are not complete idiots, they not going to pay overinflated prices to compensate lost income. Same with holidays in the uk, prices shot up this year. Now booking absents are cutting prices to try to get places filled. What they should have done is keep price rises moderate so families will take a uk holiday, see what beautiful countryside and good amenities there are in the uk so they will book again next year. But greed set in.

He rode very well, like we know he can when things are right for him. I like him, and hop he does well this year. Got to keep injury free though. re Bewley’s fall. I agree with what has been said…. The ref didn’t red flag it until the end of that lap so the race could be declared finished. The result was certain at that point so a good call. I remember few years ago Woffys frame breaking at the headstock too. And it happened to me in a grass track in my younger days…… that was a rough field that day. Not nice head butting the ground though. I hear today that the F1 future races in Monaco are under threat. New owners for the series, just like in speedway, they now weeding out circuits that don’t give good racing. But in relation to Monaco, the new F1 owners don’t have a lot of control of the actual organising of the event, so loose out on a lot of revenue.

It doe not get better at Marketa does it? Racing was poor, very poor, this year. The riders are up for it, but if the track doesn’t come to them it’s a bore. I was particularly impressed with Dan Bewley. We know the potential is there, but I thought last night he released some of it. IMO he rode intelligently, making the right moves in the right way at the right time. He looked different last night, a move obviously in the right direction. On the other hand, We know Robert Lambert has the potential, but it is as if his thought process is stuck in a rut. It could be said the track last night was not helping him, true, but Dan was more inventive with his moves and it worked. Looking forward to next weeks GP. I took the 12 month subscription with Discovery+ when the half price offer was on, £30 for the 12 month, good value just for the Speedway GPs, but they are covering loads of sports, WSBk, loads of films and documentaries, but having difficulty getting the logic of negotiating their program planner. Just can’t get my head around any logic to find a program. My biggest grumble with it. Coverage of GPs is really good, IMO

I have never rated that track, nothing tonight to make me change my mind. Definately some guys tonight who should have done better, but it was obvious the track was too tough for them. Kvetch was probably best rider tonight but the best racer was Gusts. He is developing into a very good rider. Ok, so there was a female rider, fair enough to give one a chance, might spur other females to give it a go. Some tough females have taken to boxing. I don’t agree with boxing, but if females can do that they can do speedway. Anyone know why females can’t enter snooker alongside the men?

A female racer is the wild card for the SGP2 under 21’s. German racer Celina Liebmann. Apparently her father, German ice speedway international Jurgen Liebmann, won FIM Team Ice Speedway World Championship bronze medals in 2001 and 2003. She scored 6 points in the SGP2 semi final in Daugavpils, Latvia, in May.
