  1. An untidy scrap going on for 3rd place in the championship.
  2. Hey Chunky, first 3 heats and good racing already. Makes a nice change eh?
  3. The link for the GP race card tonight in Torun….... last round. https://www.speedwayservice.at/images/racecards/2022/SGP2022-10.pdf
  4. You are right, and that was the only gp I have had problems. Don’t know why. See what happens tomorrow.
  5. Tried that a couple GPs ago when you couldn't make it. Went to the link but couldn't download anything. Had to make do with no racecard. Is there a GP blank available to print out and i cn stick the riders names in myself.?
  6. Thanks for that. I cannot understand why anyone would want to leave negative comments. I really appreciate what is being done here. Engine noise certainly doesn’t mix within communities, hence all the opposition to speedway tracks. New tracks just don’t get approval anywhere near houses, and what we have all seen at Swindon where a community was virtually built on top of a track…it was easily seen by all that the speedway racing was going to disappear, and it has. These machine give access to younger ones, give them a start to into speedway, at relatively low cost, the power can be increase easily by software on a mobile phone, so gradual increases are available at any time without large cost increases in changing engine. Great for the times we are living in, and I can’t wait to see how it all develops.
  7. For Torun this Friday-Saturday…. What is the weather forecast?
  8. Not too sure about having a GP Challenge the day after the last GP. Very possible either a rider in the 4-12 position in the GP series would either get injured in the GP so they couldn’t ride next day, or they couldn’t be bothered trying in the GP, saving themselves for the next day. Either way not good.
  9. The printed race card that R&R provides shows track at 391 metres, which is 428 yards. Belle Vue was 418 yards and I think Norwich was similar to BV. So it may be one of the biggest currently but not exceptional…which took me by surprise. What is exceptional is its width. Last night thy used whole track width for the 4 starting grids. I have seen that curtailed to a more “standard” width in the past, leaving a large part on te outside unused.
  10. Good to see Mikelson stand on the top step. That win may just have earned him a pick for next years GP’s. The win tonight will add to his GP success before his injury. Well done to Leon. I think a review of the points given in the final needs a review to 4-3-2-1. Why. ? Leon went into this meeting 1 point behind Kolodzeij. He went into the final still one point behind even though Leon won the Last Chance and Kolodzeij was last. So Leon was still the one point behind. If he had come last in the final Leon would still be 1 point behind and Kolodzeij would have been Euro Champ. Surely getting to the final and finishing last is better then not getting to the final so all four finalists deserve an extra point. Tonight, one extra point for Leon would have got him into a face off for the Euro Champ title. Last in a GP final get more than one point more than a semi final loser.
  11. Not a good race meeting. Looking forward to it, but it’s a let down. i don’t think irs the length of the track that takes up tractor grading time, it’s the width. On Sunday for the Golden Helmet It will be 6 riders in a heat, the track is easy wide enough.
  12. To, Brennans riding style is very impressive….he makes it look so easy, which of course it is’nt.
  13. Well done Dan, Tom, and nice to see Cookie still battling.
  14. During the minute silence a guy eating a bag of crisps….. CRUNCH CRUNCH
  15. His best GP years were 15 years or so ago. He is a gater. He rides like Laguta did prior to 2021…..get in a tight spot and he pulls out. That’s ok if you gate and earn a living, but that’s no good for GP’s. It’s like Berntzon said to Scotty last night “GP racing is a level above league racing”. Kolodzeij is riding for his pension pot. That’s ok, but not in the GP’s please.
  16. Then there is those who would like to see the 2 Russians back. Fricke doesn’t deserve to be in next year but Vaculik does, bad injury stopped him this year. What Nilsson and Kolodzeij will bring to the GP’s……I can’t see it being much. Woffy will get a place The selectors have a tough job anytime, but particularly this year.
  17. Next year Bewley, Lambert and Holder will have improved more. If Freddie can get rid of long covid and Madsen get completely fit and Woffy do what he says he is going to do then it could be a tough season for Zmarzlik. No Russians until complete withdrawal from Ukraine, which isn’t going to happen anytime soon. Remember the list of riders for next year will, traditionally, be announced within 24 hour of the last GP of the year.
