  1. It depends on what are circumstances surrounding the question. If its a loaded question such that if the answer is overwhelming Ward, in which case Ward should be let off and put into the GP, then my answer would defo be CHarris. If its a genuine question as to who has the most talent at this point in time and contribute positively to the GP's then I think majority may say Ward.
  2. If he kept up the form shown towards the end of 2014, yes its a possibility. But can he (will he) keep up the good form.
  3. Are you sure? Personally I cant see a problem of Batch being in. He had just a few weeks to sort himself out for the gp season, has done reasonably well in most gp's and exceptional by scoring 20 in another, only bettered once this year by Hample with his 21 point max. I think he will do better next year. All those things add up to a positive to me.
  4. He says maybe get couple wildcards too. He is an Aussie, only one gp in Aussie next year, dont wild cards only go to a rider from the country the gp is in?
  5. He should have thought these things out BEFORE he started supping. He's the professional and should know the rules.
  6. I think the tests for alcohol would be BEFORE the meeting - like when Darcy was caught.
  7. probably slow out of the gate, but once he got going there will be no stopping him.
  8. Darcy would know that riding with a certain amount of alcohol in his body would incur a penalty if found out. The logical thing to do is not drink within a certain time period before a meeting. Obviously he had drunk alcohol the night before (hes admitted that), and (thankfully) he was tested and tested positive. More fool for him not using his brain and abstain from drinking. He will have known what the penalties are, now he has to pay the price. You reap what you sow.
  9. She was there, I spotted her in one of the camera shots, but true, I didnt see her at the time of him receiving news he was excluded. Maybe she knew what was coming and decided to disapear. Re Greg and Tai. I dont think Greg slowed down to wait for Tai, but he wasnt too bothered when Tai passed him, and lets face it, by that time he was World Champ so why would he just let it go. He would have even let me past on my push bike (with stabilisers). Dont know whats happened to Tai in the last few meetings. Wasnt so long before he was dicing for the world championship, then had a chance still of overhauling KK, then found himself in a dice with Zagar and Pederson for 3rd. Perhaps a good job Zagar had a poor meeting as well or he would have finished 5th. Very peculiar, and it sounds like even he cant figure it out..
  10. Tough decision re NP or KK, and I am glad I wasnt the ref having to make a decision...... you would all still be waiting. Cant see how Lindgren gets excluded in the MJJ incident. How you expect to avoid hitting a rider who is only feet in front and he locks up I dont know. Wrong one excluded.
  11. and maybe with Batch not qualifying in the top eight, meaning 2 Aussies in next years gp, means there may be room for a third Aussie - Batch or DW.
  12. Think you missed a very important point... he is a professional speedway rider, taking part in a high speed sport where he and 3 others risk their lives each time they take to the track. No one can afford to ride with anything that might impair their judgement which would affect the safety oof themselves, and more important, the safety of others. There are rules to protect him, and others, and he broke those rules..
  13. Generally a good meeting, made the more exciting by the tussle for positions 2-5 in the world, plus that for 7 8 9 10. Pleased for Greg, good rider and Mt Nice Guy. Im not a great Tai fan but he is a very good loser - thats a credit to him. Glad AJ did well again and qualified for next year - I missed his best years so hope they coming back.
  14. Shame really, I like the racing at Western Springs (only seen the 2013 and 2014 gps)
  15. Be nice if the final round did a tour of the countries (that have the stadium to take it). OK next year in Melbourne, but Cardiff in October for the final would be great.
  16. My first thiught on that was "I wonder if Ward has been negotiated back in for 2015", but then I thought, nah! dont be silly.
  17. Having been away from speedway for so long I am lost OTA? SBA?
  18. With an Aussie GP in 2015, will that give the incentive to Batch to blow this Saturdays GP apart and get on the podium?
  19. He probably does, but I would be more convinced if he scored at least double figures on Saturday.
  20. That should mean that Troy Batchelor will be trying extremely hard to qualify in this years top 8 by having an excellent meeting in just 3 days time at Torun. Really looking forward to this Saturday.
  21. How much is 1.3m Zlotys in English money? Who is favourite to win the GP on Saturday.?? I can see Greg wrapping up the world title but not the GP. I see KK doing well in the GP, perhaps not the winner though. Is Hampel going to do a 21 pointer again?? I dont think so, too eratic with his performances since the last GP. Probably one of the "occasional" Polish riders.
  22. There was a fair bit of viewing time on tv recently from some championship diving from Kazan. I had to look where Kazan is, and its in southern Russia where 2015 world champions hip where Michael Phelps will not now be appearing. Swimming, and more so athletics, I reckon gets good viewing figures but not solid supporters. Speedway, on the other hand, is a team sport and therefore you get solid support from a person(s) for years and years, even if the team is doing badly.
