  1. How old are those yanks?? Where are the youngsters that have been around last couple of years?
  2. Is the park and ride price per car or per person?
  3. Our car park tickets at the school for the 2 days were delivered on Saturday23rd
  4. Last night I think Russia only had a 4 man team - no reserve, so no under 21 travelled. Think you would have some boring races if you put an under 21 into the team - not all under 21's are like Znarzlik was.
  5. The East stand looking really good. Just hope toilet facilities and decent food are as good. Nearly forgot..... need good sound system too.
  6. Think that way, robert72, and top riders would never retire because their experience, their history, will always be at a higher level then most of their opponents. Bomber has had his day, hes been on the rostrum, won a GP (how many years ago, which all adds up as something he and speedway fans can treasure - but today he is clearly not the competitor he once was. Take his third place podium in Prague this year. He did well to get third, but I saw a review of that meeting recently and whilst he scored the points to get the prize, in some races he was well behind (but still in the points). Whereas at Cardiff Danny King was in what many would say was the race of the night, and 7 from 5 rides is pretty good for a non GP regular.
  7. Dont know why you grumbling, Poland had the best reserve there anyway. As the rule is that a reserve can only ride if a team member is injured or not well (as judged by an official) then there is always a good chance that the reserve may well not get a ride. Its not as if a reserve could be used as a tactical substitute. So let a youngster be at the meeting soaking up he atmosphere. On paper, Poland had the best team last night, probably the best team in the tournament, and the oldest was 24. Its not as if any of these "plenty of great senior riders" had been picked anyway. obviously Polands team manager is looking to the future, that team last night could be together for 8-10 years easily, apart from one thing - Poland has "plenty of great youngsters". Your team manager is obviously looking to the future - so should you.
  8. Emil topped the scoresheet tonight in Round 1 WTC in Denmark. 6 rides, 5 wins, including a win when he was tactical sub and Russia played the Joker - so 18 points in the bag. Those going to BV next Friday for the play off are in for a treat.
  9. Important meeting tonight, adrenalin must have been flowing, probably plenty reasons for getting high, but no swearing during interviews. It can be done.
  10. Re Heat 18 - I agree with the ref, but that makes me in agreement with SteveS which I never thought I wold be. When you see the start from the back its clear Zmarzlik was out of order. Fundamentally he was the reason the race was stopped. Re SteveS- apart from mentioning Emil coming last in his second ride, not a peep from him that Emil was top scorer of the night with 5 wins out of 6 races. If Emils GP WC boat has sailed he must have jumped ship and got onto a speedboat instead. Looking forward to seeing Emil on Friday at the zoo - er I mean the NSS.
  11. So if the language Tai used at Cardiff is the "norm" these days, why was it just this week Bob Geldoff at some outdoor music festival in Basildon got booed for his continued use of the f word. Also BT Sport showed highlights of this years GP series so far, of course they featured Cardiff and not a mention of TW and his "famous" call to the crowd.
  12. I think only 6 can practice, from which the 4 man team plus under 21 reserve is picked. and whilst the squad of 10 is known, Roscoe has not yet named the 6.
  13. I got the answerphone on the first go, rang again almost immediately and got through to a human.
  14. So everyone has advance notice - just seen on a web site (monsterenergyswc.com) that admission prices not booked in advance ie turn up on the day, and you pay a few quid extra. You can book in advance up until 27th July ie next Wednesday and save a few quid.
  15. Some talk of Kings British Championship win as if it was all down to a very sodden track, a fluke win because of that. Have those not seen what he did at Cardiff? Two zeros from his first two rides, dialed his bike into track conditions (which he himself said was nothing like practice day) then bingo! 7 points from 3 rides including that win which was one of the most exciting races of the night....that win against quality riders AND coming from the back.
  16. Watched that a few times on Youtube over the last couple years, fantastic race, PC at his very best, and Egons not bad either!
  17. Is that, though, the team of 6 that goes to official practice. Any one know if there has been any British rider practice at BV, the team of 10 that is.
  18. £25 for 2 world class events and someone has a grump having to pay £5 parking for each meeting giving much enjoyment.
  19. He didnt look a happy bunny on Saturday at the European championship. Usually he is smily when the camera turns on him.
  20. Cant believe you just said you dont think Emil can gate quick enough.......... he can gate VERY quick and he can come from the back. Of course, he just come back from bad injury and he half a season behind the others now, hopefully by July WTC he will be on top form. Of course he was dicing with Tai in 2013 for the world championship until fenced by Medinski After a two year absence form speedway gp, I dont know whether he has multi world champion in him. I wouldnt be surprised if he bagged one and that was it. Had he rode in 2014 and 15 they both could have been his IMO.
  21. Just booked my car park tckets. Thanks for the post, Phil the Ace
  22. Thanks for the link. Not much atmosphere with a crowd that size though.
  23.
