  1. new rule... if anyone falls off they excluded from the meeting. if any one breaks the tapes they start on the green light..... oops NO! that was tried once wasnt it.
  2. Think the tractor driver has done as many laps as the riders. This is chronically slow.
  3. Its gonna be between Fricke and Przedpelski. Lambert needs to learn how to gate.
  4. If you still freezing take the picture quality down. Go to the symbol that looks like a cog, and what ever it says the picture quality is then reduce it ie from 720 to 480. If that doesn't do it reduce even further. Due to my poor broadband speed I can watch it only in 360, but it don't freeze.
  5. working ok for me but 1 heat in 20 minutes and counting......... agree the pole in blue should have been excluded.... he just kept taking Riss out more and more till he was fenced.
  6. Gavan, what's the point of being British champion and getting no reward for it, yet you don't support King to be in the team.... see your post #86
  7. That sounds dramatic "Pedersen took Woffinden off", Pedersen lost control and Woffinden was caught up in Pedersen crash. All rather slow motion stuff, and you couldn't blame Worry for taking his time in getting up for the rerun.
  8. Yes I was replying to Norbold when he asked about Ron Johnston. I knew him as a New Zealander, and Wilipedia lists him as a New Zealander, born in Dundedin. Sadly passed away in 2014. Actually he didn't have too bad a record in the world finals 1955 12th, 1957 6th, 1958 8th and 1960 5th. He was good around Hyde Road, usually guaranteed a good race from him. Well known in the pit area for his flashy American cars, think I can remember a Studebaker.
  9. Do you mean Ron Johnston the tall New Zealander who rode for BV in the 50's early 60's - if so, he was a good rider but IMO not in the same class as those already mentioned.
  10. Thumbs up there (I am on hols and using tablet and can't use any thumbs up, smilies etc)
  11. So scot0311, where is it better for Robert to be..... number 1-4 getting all due rides OR... at reserve and very likely getting no rides.???
  12. Your dead right star lady. My health and safety would be in danger if I suggested to the wife she was to sit in a folding chair for 3 hours. Ear drums would be the first to suffer.
  13. Would the Queen sit on a folding chair? I am taking the wife you know!
  14. £27.50 is indeed a good price for 2 meetings, Steve, but Danny said he needs a seat due to medical reasons so the west stand (first bend) is out for him. I think I paid 40 - 45 pound for the two meetings sat in the temporary east stand.
  15. Obviously depends what value you put on viewing a world championship final with top riders in the world present, and importantly, on a track that has limited capacity (as do all regular tracks in the uk), so costs have to be met from a smaller crowd. On the positive side - Belle Vue National Speedway Stadium has the best race track and the best spectator facilities in the UK, and its still to be finished!
  16. Good shout there screen. Our tickets on bend 3-4 shows £5 for the semi on the Friday evening. They obviously dangling a carrot on Friday to get a good crowd, but it does offer excellent value for money.
