  1. Important meeting tonight, adrenalin must have been flowing, probably plenty reasons for getting high, but no swearing during interviews. It can be done.
  2. Re Heat 18 - I agree with the ref, but that makes me in agreement with SteveS which I never thought I wold be. When you see the start from the back its clear Zmarzlik was out of order. Fundamentally he was the reason the race was stopped. Re SteveS- apart from mentioning Emil coming last in his second ride, not a peep from him that Emil was top scorer of the night with 5 wins out of 6 races. If Emils GP WC boat has sailed he must have jumped ship and got onto a speedboat instead. Looking forward to seeing Emil on Friday at the zoo - er I mean the NSS.
  3. So if the language Tai used at Cardiff is the "norm" these days, why was it just this week Bob Geldoff at some outdoor music festival in Basildon got booed for his continued use of the f word. Also BT Sport showed highlights of this years GP series so far, of course they featured Cardiff and not a mention of TW and his "famous" call to the crowd.
  4. I think only 6 can practice, from which the 4 man team plus under 21 reserve is picked. and whilst the squad of 10 is known, Roscoe has not yet named the 6.
  5. I got the answerphone on the first go, rang again almost immediately and got through to a human.
  6. So everyone has advance notice - just seen on a web site (monsterenergyswc.com) that admission prices not booked in advance ie turn up on the day, and you pay a few quid extra. You can book in advance up until 27th July ie next Wednesday and save a few quid.
  7. Some talk of Kings British Championship win as if it was all down to a very sodden track, a fluke win because of that. Have those not seen what he did at Cardiff? Two zeros from his first two rides, dialed his bike into track conditions (which he himself said was nothing like practice day) then bingo! 7 points from 3 rides including that win which was one of the most exciting races of the night....that win against quality riders AND coming from the back.
  8. Watched that a few times on Youtube over the last couple years, fantastic race, PC at his very best, and Egons not bad either!
  9. Is that, though, the team of 6 that goes to official practice. Any one know if there has been any British rider practice at BV, the team of 10 that is.
  10. £25 for 2 world class events and someone has a grump having to pay £5 parking for each meeting giving much enjoyment.
  11. He didnt look a happy bunny on Saturday at the European championship. Usually he is smily when the camera turns on him.
  12. Cant believe you just said you dont think Emil can gate quick enough.......... he can gate VERY quick and he can come from the back. Of course, he just come back from bad injury and he half a season behind the others now, hopefully by July WTC he will be on top form. Of course he was dicing with Tai in 2013 for the world championship until fenced by Medinski After a two year absence form speedway gp, I dont know whether he has multi world champion in him. I wouldnt be surprised if he bagged one and that was it. Had he rode in 2014 and 15 they both could have been his IMO.
  13. Just booked my car park tckets. Thanks for the post, Phil the Ace
  14. Thanks for the link. Not much atmosphere with a crowd that size though.
  15. Round 1 Russia (Red) 2 Emil Sayfutdinov 4 Artem Laguta Poland (Blue) 2 Patryk Dudek 3 Piotr Pawlicki Czech Republic (White) 3 Eduard Krcmar 4 Vaclav Milik Denmark (Yellow) 1 Kenneth Bjerre 4 Niels-Kristian Iversen Round 2 Australia (Red) 3 Max Fricke 4 Jason Doyle USA (Blue) 1 Greg Hancock 2 Ryan Fisher Germany (White) 2 Kai Huckenbeck 4 Martin Smolinski Sweden (Yellow) 1 Antonio Lindback 2 Fredrik Lindgren
  16. Perhaps the reason they gave to Freddie is that he did have a bad meeting, finishing well down, but has had a good season including most GPs he been in this year. If there is a wild card system then it can be expected there will be some wild choices, but they must have their reasons which are noot self explanatory.
  17. Bus - BV is just off the main A57 (Hyde Road) road which runs from Liverpool to Lincoln via Manchester. I am assuming main bus station is still in Manchester Piccadilly gardens area, 3 mile journey maybe. Etihead stadium is about 1 mile away but if shuttle bus as someone reported that's no problem. If you looking on Google maps like I have just done, its not up to date with respect to the new stadium. Its show the old greyhound stadium as the National Speedway Stadium, literally the new stadium is next door to the greyhound stadium.
  18. The reserve has to be under 21 PERIOD. Nothing in the rules that say they they must be in the under 21 world championship. Ans the reserve can only replace a rider ho has been injured. So Lambert at reserve is senseless as he will only ride if team mate gets injured. He is too good for reserve unlikely to get a ride.
  19. Just because its the norm in your mind doesn't mean to say its the norm elsewhere, certainly not in my home or circle of friends. Some can still string a sentence together without swearing
  20. There are venues through out the UK that have roofs - Manchester has an arena with a roof, very close to city centre, but not large enough for a speedway track. Think Sheffield has a roofed arena, but again it looks too small for a track.
  21. Apparently so according to some grown ups. Like sheep following each other. Those on here that approve of swearing need to remember that not everyone does, and maybe some of those that don't were watching the GP on Saturday, got quite excited by the racing, just as we did, but then shocked to hear and see words and actions they trying to protect their families from, and whoosh..... any thoughts of going to a local speedway meeting gone out of the window. Of course Tai will still get his sponsorship money from Monster (and others) but the long term damage could be far greater.
  22. Bewitcher, you are only the second so far that has responded to my post, but you have not answered the question I asked. Do those who support swearing do so at home in front of their wife, daughter?? And if those supporters of swearing should ever be both nominated and approved to receive an honour from the Queen, and he/she accepts it, would they stand before the Queen and swear? and as for "Folk need to grow up and stop pandering along with what certain sections of society tells them they can and cannot do". You wouldn't like to live in a society where individuals, or groups, can do what you want. So think carefully what you are saying. If I had the time and inclination to go back over your posts, all 12,290 of them, what would I find? Would I find you have condemned those in society that go against principles that have been accepted for many generations or are part of the laws of the land? You tell me, because I have neither the time nor the inclination to do so.
