Nygren wore white boots, but unsure if its him

Yes - got to be Peter Craven - I am just a couple of years too young. I have seen most of the greats from '65 onwards: Fundin, Nygren, Briggs, Mauger and many others, but would loved to have seen Craven Ah Well.

I miss the old "FIghting Bee" from the Coventry Jackets. Sigh

Coventry Bees my team - they are not gone yet - but the candle is burning very low. So Sad. I doubt I could give wholehearted allegience to another team as we go back a looooong way. 50 years.

I know of at least 1 speedway rider from the 1960's who also did grass track.
