Yews I totally agree with your comments, it seems speedway is still very un-professional compared to other motor sports all but a few.

Regarding riders drinking after and before meetings, all I can say is in 2013 I was staying at the same hotel as Somerset riders, Workington, Newcastle meetings. I can tell you know from the horses mouth that there was a number of the Somerset riders partying until the early hours of the morning. I love a drink, its my job as you can probably guess by my user name! But could I keep up with these guys, not a chance!

I think Neil M is a very BIG problem!

I am not a Poole fan so I am not being bias neither am I defending Ward. But I do wonder if he is easily influenced as there are a lot of hanger oners in speedway, and just maybe he has not got the right people around him. I do not think Matt Ford is the problem after all he is a business man and who has turned Poole speedway around to a very sucessful team and no-one can take that away from him. If only Ward was back at Kings Lynn under Lyon and Chapman maybe things would have been differnt. In my opinion in an ideal world if he was at Wolverhampton under Peter Adams and CVS would be amazing. If I was Ward I would be head hunting Pete Adams to come on board in Wards camp, I think he would be the answer to all Wards problems. If only!!

I believe it would do him good to get away from Poole and Middleditch.

I honestly believe the some point in Wards career he will ride for Swindon. Are there any others on here of the same opinion.

I know this is a Ward thread but all these swipes about Middleditch some what surprises me, after all his track record at Poole is pretty impressive!

Roll on next Thursday and we will all know the outcome of Wards case. I personally hope he is back in the league come March as when I go through the turnstiles I want to see entertaining riders like Ward, we have already lost Tai and Bridger two extremely exciting riders from the league already.

Poole v Lakeside 14/05/14 He was flying that night, if Ward was out injured, but would have been hard pushed with Bridger that night! & im a big Ward fan.

Yes on his day IMO can look world class, was at Poole early on this year, was looking forward to watch Bech. Having watched a lot of big names over the years at Poole, never ever have i seen a rider ride such as Bridger did in his rides, he was just in a class of his own.

Yes and here I go for the final time: I will give you the benefit of the doubt - just in case you have half a brain of intelligence to grasp the piont I am trying to make. Yes I know on Tai's high standards he had a below par season for Wolves, I take it as you are a Wolves supportor that you were at the Cleveland Arms and eviening with Tai, he was the first to admit he let Wolves down, but it wasn't for the want of trying, he tried so many different engines to get a set up for Wolverhampton. Yes he had a good year in Sweden and Poland, yes he is Bristish Champ and a excellent year in the gp's. The piont that you can not grasp which I am making, do you understand just how much time and effort the he took on to promote speedway, now you name me any other world champion that has done more for the sport that Tai has done.
