  1. I honestly believe that Kurtz would have benefited with another year in the PL. I applaud him for his desire & commitment to step up to the EL & I do think he as a big future. But another year under the careful guidance of Garry May, who I think is the best manager in the UK! would have done him the world of good.
  2. Days like this when you hear news like this makes me hate speedway
  3. Regarding Bridger, don't think he was has bad that his score suggests. His first ride was challenging for the lead before he went down, showed plenty of commitment there. His second ride heat 7 hardly the easiest ride! Can tell you he was working tirelessly hard to get that Jawa dialled in. You could see how flat it was out of the corners.
  4. Totally agree with you, AJs exclusion, I for the life of me could not see anything wrong with the move. Some good racing & looked a ok crowd to me
  5. They would have to try seriously hard to be worse than last night Mark!!!
  6. Giving up my night at Somerset tonight to pop up to Coventry to watch Bridger, Mind nothing like the journey last Sunday to Glasgow when he pulled out the meeting!!!!
  7. Arguably that meeting last night was the poorest night of speedway I've ever witnessed
  8. Marcel has not been at Wolves this season nor was he at Kings Lynn which surprised me
  9. Looking forward to my first visit to Workington this season
  10. Well I must have been at a different venue than you, NEVER seen any one work so hard on a track as BC. The track was smooth & plenty of dirt on it!
  11. Used to go to Cradley Heath every Saturday from the late 60s, such fond memories of Dudley Wood
  12. Sorry mate, yes would have all 1960 programmes
  13. He looked last night as poor has he did at Wolves!!!
  14. Take a look at John Somerville site, John's photos are on there
  15. Having followed Kurtz very closely from 2013, only seen him ride 3 times this year Poole, Lakeside & Wolves last night. And did he look all out of shape, but not surprised after watching him last year at Ipswich, Newcastle & perticully Edinburgh where he couldn't even turn the bike! I really think he needed another year in the PL
  16. Got my tickets for the Watermill on the 21st, so see you there ?
  17. Would also visit the tracks you mentioned, Somerset is a track I enjoy particularly like. I didn't drive I always flew to Bristol. Regarding age, i'm no youngster! I still do minimum 4 meetings a week. ie last Thursday Ipswich 430 miles, Friday Somerset 80 miles, tomorrow Wolves 180 miles, Wednesday Poole 190 miles, Thursday Swindon 90 miles Friday day off, Saturday Kings Lynne 400 miles.
