Stop making excuses, down to tracks. Let me try and make this simple EVEN for you, even from the late 20's speedway tracks by mast majority are built inside greyhound tracks. So explain to me how they could overcome the shape and size of track? Apart from Belle Vue, Scunthorpe, Somerset and going against the grain, Wolverhampton on a well prepared track all mentioned can produce excellent racing. Name me how many tracks in Poland have greyhounds! I hope this has made it a little simpler for you to grasp!

sommelier replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Hi John, go out and buy the book, I had mine yesterday and couldn't put it down, just finished it. Having been to three Tai talk ins two at Wolverhampton one at Halifax, always admire his out spokenness. Having read the book this is by far the best book I have read, he has worked so hard to have got where he has got today. He talks so much sense and I'm sure you would change your views about him. -

Couldn't agree with you more Col, regarding Lambert and you quite rightly posted that Lambert a shadow of the rider last year winning SEC at the same venue. Was there last night and the contrast in watching the riders in the pits was amazing, this is not a knock at Lambert, but the focus of the poles not a girlfriend to be seen, so different as a onlooker where as Lambert seemed to be spending far to much time with his partner. Just my opinion.
