  3. Of course. I fully expect Marc to move up and stay up at number one............great rider and still got more potential!
  4. Whilst Eastbourne do have a rider in the Number 1 position (and as much as I love Magic) IMO he is one of the bottom two number 1's in the league this year. What you will get is a rider who is very professional, has excellent equipment and bags of experience which will prove invaluable to the rookies. Don't be surprised to see David sheparding home lower order riders for 5-1's on numerous occasions.
  5. I stand by my statement regarding top 5 but it will be very close throughout I think. For me Cradley, Stoke then Eastbourne based on their reserves just ahead of Rye / Kent.
  6. I think most teams will be pretty solid at home this year. For potential away wins I think Brum, Kings Lynn & Buxton look the most likely. Im excited I think this is the tightest league for years.......I don't think Cradley will dominate. Yes early season Perks will get a hatful but once he is the main body of the team it will be a very different story. Kent, Rye House, Cradley, Eastbourne, Stoke but in what order I cant decide......all going to come down to confidence and injury luck I think!

  8. Looking like a top side is being put together. Hughes can be class although a little too un-genuine IMO although now is his chance to prove it. Regular weekend racing might be better for him in terms of finances / taking time off work. Looks like Andrew has done a fantastic job so far.....

  11. If Georgie sticks with it I can see him 4.5ish this year, 5 next year and then into the 6's and beyond in following seasons. There is no denying he is a natural on a bike Grass or Shale however there are a heck of a lot of setups to learn, gating techniques to hone & passing manoeuvres to perfect yet. To be fair I haven't heard Georgie claiming he will be at the front all year. He is just a young lad who wants to race bikes.
  12. I think that's the benefit of a new stadium owner. The Silver family can deal with the finances of the teams whilst a cash injection can go towards the long awaited updates to the stadium. With the go kart track having desires for the land I think its a far more secure purchase.

  14. For 2015 teams will be able to include two National League riders in their sides at any time as long as they comply with the set of rules agreed. They must be British, not have a finishing NL average of over 5, have not been named in a Premier League 1-7 ever and have ridden less than 50 official National League meetings at the end of last season. Additionally one of the riders , if used, must start the 2015 season with a NL average of 3.00. Once a rider exceeds an average of 5.01 he will become ineligible to ride in the MDL although if their average drops below that figure again they will become eligible again. Quick question(s)....... Do no.8's count as one of the National League rider allocation? If a number 8 is used in the meeting would they count towards the allocation?

  17. The reserves will be key which I think goes in Eastbourne's favour. Saying that it may be a little early in the season for any of them to be dialled in? I think the Kent 1-5 will be more solid and get us through but it will be squeaky over two legs. Don't be surprised to see Woody mixing it with main body riders.......although heaven forbid him and Danny Ayres going for the same piece of track!

  22. Thanks for the info Shads. Is there a curfew at Rye House? Seems to make sense although I feel for the Raiders who are unlikely to have any room in the pits to park or work until the first meeting is over?
  23. Im guessing the Raiders will run mostly on Saturday afternoons (1 / 2 pm starts?) allowing time for the pits to be cleared before the Rockets meeting and the track to be knocked back into shape?
  24. Completely agree. The age restriction is stupid and wouldn't happen in any other area of life. Follow suit of the PL / EL and give riders over 25 two years max too double up then its make or break time....
  25. Huge kudos to the MDL & NJL last year given the amount of riders that have moved up. Just goes to show with the right backing the system works. Im sure several of the riders will continue for another year as track time is crucial & hopefully there will be more willing to try it out as it has become a proven route into the National League. I for one feel those that have moved up this year will be better prepared in terms of the expense, travelling time and track knowledge than the few that have popped into the National League with little experience.
