Potentially very sad times indeed. I hope a new more Essex based venue can be found for the Hammers. I fear that although the Kent crowd size is good there wont be enough who could / would watch speedway twice a week and with a number of fans unable to travel down from Essex it could be harmful to both sides?

Most peculiar however speedway riders are a funny breed..... All the more ironic as the fall was caused by Matt excessively leaning all over Jamie for no obvious reason whilst Adam had already gated and was past both of them....

Brummies V Stoke Good Friday 8 Pm Start
Sings4Speedway replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
I Definitely don't think it will be easy. However the track time may just edge it for Brum. Think Stoke will take a point here at least. -
Cruel blow for Matt but its a cruel sport. Definitely a chance for the others to cement their places now although ironically this still leaves Kent without a number 8 following Sanderson's no show.

If the website is any indication? Must have been recently updated as Danno is in his new suit. http://www.kentkings.co/team15

I have to say I was impressed how Jamie coped with being excessively leant on by Matt going into the first corner which caused Matt to fall and bring Jamie down. No arguing Matt looked fast but the least in control. Adam was most consistent and quicker than I have seen for a while. Jamie did look a little rusty and not great when following but composed when leading. Based on last night I would have said Adam should be 6 or 7 and then a tricky choice for the other position so if rumours are true im a disappointed. There was a little hole but was easy to ride round and the faster riders were looking for it for extra drive. Thought the top 5 all looked quick so very much a positive there. Roll on Friday.

Are there more injuries than ever or is it that with the more information available (forums, social media etc) we know about the injuries? I personally don't blame the bikes or the tracks. The riders are going right to the edge and sometimes beyond the edge of their limits. The reason being if they don't the guy behind will........its points that keeps your team place and the riders are prepared to risk all for the rewards.

Sheffield Vs Scunthorpe Lc 26/03/2015
Sings4Speedway replied to Tigerish's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Who says there is any deal? If Ashley Holloway is one of the top regarded tuners in the country its not a huge surprise many riders use him. In addition if he is preparing good engines that fly round Sheffield why wouldn't they all want to be on board with that. With a good client base maybe Ash attends most Sheffield meetings so can see how the riders / engines are performing and make the required adjustments. Plus locality means he could collect / deliver engines to all. Theres not always a dark ulterior motive......lets face it the way Steady is going at the moment the others would be mad not to be using the same tuner! -
Tricky one for me and here are as I see the pluses & minuses for each Jamie: Quick round Central Park & Good backing however lacks experience of other tracks in the league Adam: Ridden almost every track in the league & plenty of MDL experience but well known reliability issues Liam: League Experience with Scunny but lost his place and seems prone to falling Matt: Grasstrack racing background & must be connected to even get a shot but is no Georgie Wood & has practically no shale experience. I suspect it will be Liam & Jamie but Adam needs to pounce if either are faltering....Matt needs to earn his right and shouldn't even be considered IMO

Looking at the Kings website it sounds like both reserves berths are up for grabs at the P&P day? As it stood originally it was Mullins @ 6 with Adam and Jamie racing off for 7&8 although the promise of a squad / rotation to keep all happy was dangled. Now with Mullins withdrawal (ive said enough on that) the race off is taking place with additional competition and its possible that neither Jamie or Adam get a place? If I was either party its safe to say I would be more than a little peeved at being strung along.....

King's Lynn V Poole, Elite Shield, 26/03/15

Plus from memory the Tier 1 reserves were Boxhall (riding at Ipswich tonight) & Roynon (injured) As for the guest choice I would have tried to get Rose to make it a little spicy..... -
The Heathens V The Brummies 25/03
Sings4Speedway replied to greyhoundp's topic in National League Speedway
Hats off to the Brummies and hands up I admit I got this one very wrong. I still think its a big ask for Ellis & Perry to score like that every week & when the off nights occur they may be in trouble however if Chapman & Kirby can keep the middle order points ticking over it will help. For the Heathens I don't think Grieves will have many 5 point nights but on the flip side Perks wont get 16 every week so that probably balanced out. Not sure how early Harris got injured but he is capable of more than 1 or 2 at this level however I thought Moggo would be scoring a little higher than he has so far..... Overall I still think the two teams will be opposite ends of the table but a much needed confidence boost for Brum. -
Berwick’s new number one, Ben Barker is looking forward to the challenge of riding with the Bandits after making the switch to Shielfielod during the winter. Sounds Nordic to me.....no wonder is 5550 miles

Not really the right thread but never mind. Any news on how the P&P went? Did the new recruits look on the pace?

Bottoms up and lets party........you Eastbourne fans really are close! However id love the attendance for the first meeting to better anything achieved in the EL last season.

I think Mildenhall line up in a very similar way to Kent, Rye House & Stoke. Each has a potent number 1 with good support from 3,4 & 5 so any riders upping their averages will be crucial and Mildenhall are in a strong position for that. IMO I think Stoke have the edge with a stronger number 2 and Tedham at reserve would have been riding for the last few seasons barring the stupid over 30's rule. Mildenhall are next in the pack for me with marginally more experienced reserves and it only takes one of these to settle quickly and a serious charge could take place. Kent & Rye are almost identical. Inexperienced reserves at any level of racing and number 2's who have league experience but need to kick on. Either way I think it will be a very close season but im going to stick with my gut feeling of Cradley, Stoke, Eastbourne in that order.

The Heathens V The Brummies 25/03
Sings4Speedway replied to greyhoundp's topic in National League Speedway
I fear another tonking for this one by a similar score as before. Pointers for the season for each side in my mind are Will Harris score better than last week (I think he will) & will Neale achieve a similar score and continue to gate well. If so Cradley will be a very dangerous proposition. For Birmingham I think the key indicators will be the scores of Kirby & Chapman as its well documented what the "main two" riders can score but can they add significant back up. Other than that its how on the pace Wilson & Banks look. Something tells me that a Birmingham side with a point to prove may over cook things a little producing a meeting with many stoppages.... -
The reason I like this forum is the enthusiasm shown by so many fans. Yes opinions differ, we all have riders we rate / think are shocking but that's just life. Good on the passionate Eastbourne fans Alex 2000BC , Cat in the Mac and alike. I hope they enjoy NL racing at Arlington good or bad and get the chance to visit various other tracks around the country too.

Race Suit Regulations
Sings4Speedway replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thank you for that. Much as I expected. What if the original manufacturer was no longer trading? If a technical official can deem a suit unfit to race (tagged or not) can they not also deem an untagged suit usable? -
Certainly worth keeping an eye on for the results from the youth rounds this year as a little pointer.......its positive when you can say even the 125 class is hotly contested.......

Race Suit Regulations
Sings4Speedway replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Question........ If a rider has a race suit that complies to the regulations i.e full Kevlar / no nylon but it doesn't have the correct "approved for 2105 etc" tag..... A. Could he still use it? B. Where could he get it verified for use? -
Jason Finished at Rye House on 4.66 so "IF" the rumours are true I could only see him replacing Adam Roynon 4.78 unless one of the reserves sticks a point or so on their average....
-
Looks like Adam Ellis had a night to forget for the second time this week? I know Stefan didn't get a lot score wise but how was he pace wise compared to the rest of the field?

Betting Odds To Win The Pl
Sings4Speedway replied to greyhoundp's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
IMO Sheffield have a bigger home advantage than Scunthorpe. Lunna needs to adapt very quickly and I feel the PL might be a step to early for Perks however I am happy to be proven wrong.....
