  1. The blue groove will definitely be there. I think they have it on a time share with Kent!
  2. Agreed viewing wise its pretty good all round and I particularly enjoy being able to see into the pits during the meeting and see riders reactions, changes being made etc. Any team with their gating boots on will do well although there is enough room to pass around the bends. Its generally quite grippy to start with and ends pretty slick and the air fence is pretty hungry with at least one rider per meeting crawling back out from under it. Think any first time visitors will enjoy themselves and as mentioned before the fish is superb.
  3. Was any reason why Ruddick didn't ride for Mildenhall?
  4. I personally didn't think the crowd was too bad? The main car park was full and there was plenty of noise being made in the stands. Perhaps a few had stayed away after some below par performances but I would be surprised if the promotion was disappointed by it. On a personal note I like the NL and hope that's where the Kings stay for a while.
  5. Good win from the Kings last night and a much improved performance all round. A 5-1 in the reserves race certainly got things off to a very solid start. Some great racing with Ben Morley involved in some titantic battles with both Ritchings & Greenwood. Danny Ayres showed no effects of his recent injuries, James Shanes actually gated in one race and was good value in the others & Baseby was quietly efficient picking up solid points and a good win. Thought Danno rode better than his 3 points suggest and all of the riders much more on the pace. Good lead to take to Cov especially if Greenwood is missing and Crang is still struggling with confidence.
  6. Good to see a No.8 getting a run out. Why is Farnaby missing tonight? As for the match I think the Kings will need to be on their toes with Crang & Greenwood in town. However I think overall it should be a home win but by enough to take to Cov? Looks an easier night for the reserves so fingers crossed they get a little confidence booster....
  7. Any news on the Stoke reserves? Horrendous luck to lose both to injury in HT2. Wasn't there so don't know what happened but fingers crossed both are ok. Edit. My bad just seen it on Speedway GB. Rotten luck for Tedham. Scoring good points and a real treat at reserve fingers crossed he isn't out for too long.
  8. It really gets under my skin when there is a treat of rain and the interval still takes place. I heard recently that a meeting took place at Leicester and was sped through due to the dubious forecast then there was a big gap before the MDL was sent out. In which time the heavens had opened and the track was awash.........that's how we treat what future the sport does have!
  9. If there's a chance of a blow off I might venture up for this one
  10. He's already signed to Cradley. In the unlikely event that Eastbourne did want to sign him he would have to quit Cradley, serve a 28 day ban for with holding his services and then sign. Either way its all pie in the sky. If he goes home just shows he never cared about the NL and it was PL or bust. Fingers crossed his new sponsored equipment is offer to an up and coming Brit who appreciates it.....
  11. Other way round. BWD has the Dugard clan around him to keep him grounded and occupied in his down time. Not sure who Perks has over here but he is not at Chez Verge this season.
  12. Definitely has a feel of who throws the least points away will take this one. Whichever reserves set steps up will have the edge but I fear F/X may top the scoring charts.
  13. MDL teams will definitely be present its MK Knights vs Coventry Vikings................with a NL first half
  14. Shame if he is on his way home (even with the strops and ego) too much pressure too young? Heck of a lot of hype last year (eclipsed by that of BWD this year) but one has people around him to keep him grounded and one doesn't.
  15. Not seen anything about this yet so thought id better start it for once. Interesting prospect ahead. What will Shanes make of Rye House? Somehow I can't see it being a track he will relish. A fully fit Danny Ayres goes well there but how rusty is he? Obviously Ben goes well at Rye but who will back him up? Brandford & Chessell seem to have been rampant so far so could be a major thorn in the Kings side. Two total rookies for Rye against Jamie & Adam neither having particularly good records at the Hertfordshire track. Think the bragging rights will go to Silver Jnr for this one but should hopefully be close.
  16. Nice to see Cradley using their number 8. Strange that Buxton haven't gone down that route also...
  17. Wouldn't panic just yet. I suspect R/R for Harris. I hope Number 8 for Perks and a decent guest for the incredible sulk. Still should have just enough in the tank to get an away win but as a neutral Go On Buxton!!!
  18. BIt harsh singling out Kent and many teams have been built on the same template this year. Birmingham, Kent, Rye, Kings Lynn & Mildenhall have all built with 3 established and dependable riders at 1,3,& 5. A number 4 with experience and expected improvement. Most 2's have a seasons league experience at best whilst the majority of reserves are MDL graduates or second halfers with some ability. Cradley have also built this way but obviously have the Perks factor. Only 3 teams have built a 1-5 with decent experience throughout (Stoke, Buxton & Cov). Im not saying which system is better as I cant decide. All I can say is that each team is built on potential. Some will achieve that and some will fall short same as every other year the team that has most riders achieving will be victorious. P.S ive deliberately left out Eastbourne as there has been far to much chatter about them already.
  19. Bit different when those that had could offer useable advice. Dan Greenwood is a proven performer at Kent as is Marc Owen. Kelsey is no stranger either.
  20. If that is true I don't think he will be without a place for long - Plymouth here he comes!
  21. Blimey you really are an ardent supporter if you turned up to Loomer Road every week. Your away days were probably a treat
  22. Now that's not fair. Dan Greenwood could break down on the way giving us a chance and apart from calamity Kirby im not sure any of the Birmingham team have ever ridden Central Park? Not looking forward to the visit from Stoke though.
